Great video!. What 3d scanner was used to create the point cloud?

      Hi Mike, Thanks!
The scan was captured using a X7.

      Hi Sof,
I'm guessing maybe the sequence of events is slightly off, could you please try:
      1) Model a SketchUp box, (around the area you want to clip, this can be modified later)
      2) Select it the box, (You can group it too if you want to avoid geometry cross-contamination)
      3) Activate the "clipping box from SketchUp selection" tool.
If that's not helping, I think we will need to have a chat about your process, and I'll have to look at your model to understand what the issue is. If you're a SketchUp Australia customer we provide support via:

    Hi everyone !
My name is Phu and I’m from VietNam.Now I’m working in Japan.
I have a question about make 3D Model by SketchUp based on Trimble Scan Laser.
I’m drawing 3D Contrustion Model in SketchUp using Trimble point cloud. The project I’m working onis quite so large,so the number of points is very dense, and I can’t pick point cloud.
I have used “Create Clipping Box from Cloud selection” but then selection showing the point cloud points will be dimmed, and I can’t draw it. Can you help me to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much!
    Have a good day!

      Hi Phu,
actually SketchUp's native Sections also apply to Point Clouds (as long as the Section isn't within a group or component), so you may find it easier to use a normal SketchUp Section, as opposed to a TSE Clipping Box . When using TSE's Clipping Boxes, you might want to test some of the alternative Point Cloud visibility settings, and also check that your tags (new ones will be automatically created by TSE) are active/inactive at the correct time. Hopefully that helps. There are quite a few other things you could try, but I'd probably need to know more about what you're trying to acheive.
