"Let me in if I break. And be quiet when I shatter." Is such a scary line, because all I can imagine is the anxiety of actually opening up and being vulnerable in front of someone.

It’s like somebody took all the best parts of 70’s Linda Ronstadt, Crystal Gale, Juice Newton, and Karen Carpenter and made new music out of them. It’s a vibe.
This song is great She has an amazing voice, and the slide guitar just reminds me of some licks in George Harrison´s All Things Must Pass. The guitar player just rocked it!
Fantastic. All of them. Love those backups from the bass player. Slide playing pulls of that sound on the record. Great songwriting. drums and strings on the keyboards all landing so nice. "I'm still a good man's daughter"... elegant and earthy. and of course the main voice... Such beautiful, otherworldly expansive music. The middle child played this for me in the car yesterday. Always bringing me new things to love.

It took me quite some time but I finally know which song I recognised in Andromeda! Everybody's gotta learn sometimes from The Korgis. I do love this song
Just found this song and it was love at first listen but somehow I feel like I’ve heard something similar before like this melody already exists in my mind but can’t really remember it’s frustrating lol
I must admit, I didn't know of her until I listened to Lana's cover of For Free by Joni Mitchell. And I had to know, instantly, who was the woman whose voice was quite similar to Joni. And my Weyes Blood is so gorgeous and her songs are brilliant!!
For an older man like me who just months ago celebrated the Beatles' "When I'm sixty-four," and without celebrity-worship, least of all her age, to be so deeply moved by this song tells me, this is great music. I am musically classically trained, the guitar and piano, so I only like quality music. Great younger songwriter, I applaud her (I do not like rock music, this is my musical secret).
she's criminally underrated
Agreed!!! Like a talented spawn of Aimee Mann!
i only just discovered her from spotify, i wish i knew her before

Her voice is like warm golden butter
Her voices gives me such nostalgic memories of the wonderful Karen Carpenter too 🥰
Got that country vibe
She's got a great voice and solid technique. Good songwriting too. "Treat me right, I'm still a good man's daughter."

I definitely hear Karen but also Linda heavily
Totally in Karen class and Olivia and Amy Mann class
Absolutely!!

Her voice reminds me so much to Joni Mitchell's. It is beautiful.
Yes!!! I also get Karen Carpenter vibes! She is insanely talented! I get goosebumps up to my neck when I listen to this song!
Other than her voice sounding nothing like that of Joni Mitchell you're exactly right.

But can't seem to follow through
