I've been running motorcycle tires ever since I went up to a 3000w motor. Below 1500w, I probably wouldn't bother. Of course, tire width and other factors determine the weight of the tires...the m/c tire I'm running (3.25x17") probably only weighs half as much as your tubeless/metric 110's. And if you're not replacing 4" fat tires, you don't have to worry nearly as much about the weight...2.50s barely weigh anything. 3.00s aren't bad. 3.50-4.00 is where they start really weighing a lot, no matter what brand. I went with M/C tires so they could handle the speed/power, reduce punctures, and, most importantly to me, I could get larger width tires for cheaper than I could get bicycle rims & tires. 3.00/3.25 is the sweet spot for looks/value, in my opinion, with a 1.85 or so m/c rim width. 12ga spokes are also the sweet spot between m/c and bicycle; you'll want thicker if you're laying down a lot of torque. 16" m/c rim = 20" bicycle rim, as you pointed out. There aren't many other sizes that cross over. 14" = 18" and 18" = 22"...very few bicycles come with 22" tires, and 18" are rather too small as they only come on kids bikes...so you're stuck with the 20"s for the most part, hence why I run motorcycle rims. Which only works if you have normal spoke wheels. My little 125cc motorcycle runs the same size tires as you do. With skinnier tires and spoke wheels, it got ~120mpg, but with the 110's and alloys, it averaged just over 100mpg. Quite the drop. Thanks for the feedback/review. Always good to see the side effects of such things.
Love Michelin, loving the city grip 2’s. The trade offs in mph are well worth the gains that are attributed to motorcycle tires. Problem is the base that was chosen to build upon. Not saying that the Revv1 is bad, just saying that it’s more of a chore to get it right & dialed in. Things will immediately escalate in terms of needing to be replaced/enhanced and/or modified. Off top: Brakes, motor, battery, controller…then there’s the frame & control arm… GL & safe travels.
The City Grips 2s are great tires. But I'd still love to have that speed back. It makes it feel like a completely different bike. Definitely a plus not to have to worry about flats tho!
Looking Cool,🎉 but my Question will The Tires help from Wiping out on them White lines in Streets??😮💨🤔🤓i am Curious??? i am Recovering From Accident, Or Would u get Better Traction & Grip Totally????, Gotta Ask This Question????….
Eh I wish. Even if i pin the throttle for a while with distance ahead, I can't get past 34. It's weird. It's almost like there's a speed limiter on the bike now.
I did the same for my g force zm I use HEB all scape tires they are motorcycle tires deff worth investing cuz you will get less flats and they will last longer/look cooler and putting these kinds tires on this bike that I have is deff worth it for all I explained just more durable and will last longer plus look cooler frs and I have not seen any performance difference like speed/power/torque/acceleration for example I’ll keep these tires that I have over the stock ones because the stock ones are shit the upgraded tires are deff worth it for sure especially if your a person that rides a lot every day
Bro -how are you doing? Motorcycle tires are significantly heavier than your standard e-bike tires 2-3 times the weight; which will affect top speed on stock e-bikes! Personally, I think it’s a good idea if you ride very often as a peace of mind and like you said for durability! But if you ride once in a while and ride bike paths or trails…it may not be necessary! If you have a stock bike that gets you anywhere from 30-32mph and you go to heavier tires you will drop top speed and even if it’s 2-3 mph that’s a huge difference while riding on city streets! Nonetheless the tires do look good and will give you that peace of mind on the road!
Thanks! I got the grips on Amazon. They're cheap but they've been holding up pretty well so far. Good quality. www.amazon.com/dp/B00E35Y9OG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
I like how you wear proper safety gear that’s good man like motorcycle safety gear most people don’t do such a thing but I guess me and you do which is good stupid them frs a bicycle helmet ain’t gonna do shit that’s good you wear an actual full face motorcycle helmet and gloves with my zm planning on getting new gloves/helmet/pants/jacket everything motorcycle related cuz I care bout my safety frs and don’t want to get serious road rash for example
Yea 3k motor and get a electro and co 88.2 you can still run it on a 72v system sense it’s 76v. Battery can handle 21kw even with 3k motor with a bac 2000, fardriver, sabaton 72200 still can tune it for 6-8kw and battery will last forever sense it’s not stressing.
I was Doing 37 on my Grizzly By Ariel Rider😮🥱😮💨😩When i had Accident Recently, i got my Bike upto 43 Totally, i was Like Wow???😮😳, i got the Tires that Come w/ The Grizzly, i needs to know Will i get Better TRACTION???, cause i am Still … Curious To What Caused my Wipe Out???… i wasn’t hit for sure🙏🤦🏽♂️Thanks to Allah, Definitely blessed’🤓, Wrist healed… and Recovery Good’, 😊, Hopefully u can give a Good answer???? Great information! Thanks for breaking that down and dropping that in for everyone.

These tires are great for city/street riding! They're designed for it. I definitely recommend. Hope you're recovering ok from the accident.
you got the same mirrors as me gang that wild for my e bike W they be good frs
On a level surface after you should hear the same top speed unless you've increased the rolling resistance
Eh I wish. Even if i pin the throttle for a while with distance ahead, I can't get past 34. It's weird. It's almost like there's a speed limiter on the bike now.
@nogasJAY_EV perhaps you have a different diameter the speed limiter is reading that....
and we both got nice looking bikes too which is a W frs

Whats up bro! 100% agree, great points!
What are the grips you put on? Got 2,100 miles on my original grips and they are looking worn as heck.
Great content, good looking bike

u have two batteries? i use a 13amp battery to lighten my load.
I just have 1 stock battery. Which bike do you have?
@nogasJAY_EV revv1 fs.
Controller upgrade will get your speed back up
Yeah I'm thinking about it man. Considering if I should just do a full upgrade with a 60 or 72v, new controller, and 3k motor kit.
I was just typing the likely route.

@@felixvalvaneda2285 Ok nice. Thanks for letting me know. Good info. I'm gonna check that out.
mags or big spokes only
Yeah the mags definitely add a good amount of weight

Yeah I'd say try the City Grips 2s out. I put an answer in your other question. The tires are good for traction.
