I think this is the version of Oats We Sow that I came across first, but I love both versions. There is something profound and beautiful in the calm, bittersweet and utterly lonesome heartbreak both versions convey. I can't get enough of the emotional intensity, but with the inevitability of everything, I know one day I will be able to relate to the song firsthand and it scares me. Wow this is awesome the voice is the same but all the things from Moenie and Kitchie like the drums and the extra sounds are gone and it doesnt sounds bad is awesome.
meredith (main person behind gregory and the hawk) probably recorded this album on her own with minimal extra instrumentation other than what she had access to, while moenie and kitchi had a full producer and a studio behind it

It's pretty saddening that most of these songs like Neither Freer and Blame-qui don't get a lot of traction in Genius. They are one of my favorites in this album.

I would say most of the time, the only sweetness is in the actual sound of the song. The lyrics are mostly really depressing.
