Is 1 Corinthians 16:1-2 a Pattern for Christian Giving Today?

Some say that Paul's instructions to the Corinthians on the matter of Lord's-day giving has no relevance to the Christian today. They say the context of First Corinthians is not a binding pattern for churches in the twenty-first century. Is this true? Or does Paul's instruction set forth an authorized manner of church finances? Wayne Jackson discusses this issue.
