In my opinion, this wonderfully jazzy rock song by Band-Maid highlights Saiki's vocal range and talent. The bass play by MISA really gives it that jazzy feel. This is one of my favorites, because it shows that Band-Maid is MUCH MORE than just a hard rock band. It is an assemblage of talent, cohesiveness, and professionalism that is hard to duplicate. Yes, there are a great rock bands out there, but few match this one.
It’s an audio only track but if you listen to TAMAYA!, that’s sort of a Holiday song. Tamaya was a fireworks factory during the Middle Ages (Edo Period) and when fireworks are showcased viewers yell out Tamaya or Kagiya. Kagiya was the rival clan.
Kanami plays Lead. Miku is Rhythm. Kanami taught Miku. Miku couldn't play guitar when they started. You need to watch the Documentaries. However, if you want Christmas Songs, why not do one from their Christmas Acoustic Set? I'd suggest Miku's acoustic version of 'Sayonakidori'. It's haunting.
As Miku improves on guitar Kanami writes more complicated parts for her to play, and she blends so well with Saiki vocally. Sometimes she just kind of thickens the notes sung. Good review again. Merry Christmas to you and all your family.
