- Another needle and yarn or needle and thread flat twist hairstyle on natural hair. This time, on my own hair. It was quite a challenge at first I must admit. But as they say, practice makes perfect. By the time I finished, I promise you, I was now a pro. Well, not exactly a pro, I'm kidding. It was just much easier to do though. I still have a lot of getting used to doing it on my hair. But here is to my first needle and yarn flat twist lookalike on my hair. Growing up we had that one lady in the neighborhood who was good at doing the needle and the normal flat twist method that when you go to her place she was always "booked" and there was a queue of kids waiting in line. I was always so annoyed lol so I never had these done on me. FINALLY I'm gonna do it to fulfill my childhood style dream.

I use to do this when I was young..where I come from this is normal hair style..it’s really good for growth..even “maphondo” with wool too was another good protective style ❤️❤️❤️

I don't tie a knot. I just hold it down with the hair.

Yes you can. The idea is to make sure there's no excessive pulling.
