      1. Russia would try to further spread the revolution into Germany and Central Europe, loosing as they were far to stretched out and they'd be facing German veterans and remaining equipment from the WW1. 2. The oil fields from the Middle East weren't as developed to meet all the German needs so Barbarossa would still occur leading to a German defeat though drawn out a bit longer. 3. WW1 would be avoided until some other conflict would occur between the great powers as France was vengeful and Germany was power hungry.

      @zenhoflich1662 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@KonoHarpDa I wonder if taking the middle eastern would open new possibilities though, on a operational and strategic level. Barring interruptions to the oil supply, Germany would have more oil and wont have to rely as much on Ploesti. This could give them more drive to complete their operational objectives like in Typhoon, Fall Blau, etc. And more importantly, on a strategic level, if they took Egypt and Syria, with the help of Iraq, they could exert pressure on Iran, which shares a border with the USSR, near Baku. Taking those oil fields with a southward thrust in 1941 could mean that they take the oil fields of Baku, which is massive and well developed. This means that Hitler's objective of securing the oil fields will be complete, and he doesn't have to redirect panzer forces to the south to secure its flank prior to operation typhoon (as part of a larger plan to take the Caucasus in otl)

    The most believable alternative history in which Germany wins in the Great War(WW1), is in the book Gray Tide in the East, by Andrew J. Heller.
    Germany doesn't declare war on either France or Russia, putting itself as the attacked victim in international eyes. It remains on the defensive in the West against French attacks along the French-German border. With no German violation of Belgian neutrality, England stays out of the war. French armies suffer horrendous casualties (as they did historically) with no gain.
    The main German armies that historically invaded Belgium and northern France are instead shipped to the Eastern front to intercept the slower mobilizing Russian armies. With superior tactics, weapons, organization, and logistics, the German armies overwhelm and destroy the Russian armies being committed piecemeal. Given the maximum German effort and forces, the Russian armies quickly collapse, several years earlier than they historically did. In the peace treaty, Russia is forced to surrender vast amounts territory, much as they did historically, and Russia descends into chaos and revolution.
    Left without any allies, France realizes it can't fight Germany alone, and fearing a full scale German attack, a peace treaty is negotiated with the assistance of Teddy Roosevelt. German terms are very small, asking only for several small French colonies, and no reparations. In the aftermath of the war, France turns inward, giving up it's desire for revenge for the 1870 Franco-Prussian war, and putting more effort into securing and developing it's remaining colonies. In addition to the colonies lost to Germany, Japan takes advantage of France's troubles by seizing French Indochina.

      it was true, that's why bulgaria had to start the 2nd balkan war
      because bulgaria ,wasn't happy with its border, and wanted more, but by falling ot get more, they lost more
      so there was a frustration within bulgarian rule, that wanted to expend, and take revange over serbia and greece; but wasn't the only factor thaat made bullgaria join the central alliance

  • @FridgeToe
    @FridgeToe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    Nice alternative. However I would have liked seeing some dates or a timeline, which would have made everything more linear and elegant. That being said I must add my opinion. Why would Britain stand down with the fall of Paris? It could have easily kept the war going with no risk to itself and blockaded all trade into Europe, while still suppressing the German navy and keeping pressure on the country. Even if they did end the war, they would never have let Germany take control of French colonial territory, especially not giving up their own.
    I feel this scenario strongly underestimates the strength and ability of the British Empire, the British for example had the ability to arm the winning side in Russia, reigniting the eastern front, the Russians would be more than eager to retake their lost territory. You must consider that Britain in 1914 is the equivalent to modern day US.
    One last thing. France would never have joined an economic sphere if it had self rule and governance, if it was occupied and under direct German governance then yes.

    @Monsieur Z
    I doubt Austria would break up like that especially if they win here. Even after the War in otl AH was almost restored. It also took a massive 3 front war for it to finally collapse when it did as well. With it being victorious the Emperor and the government have legitimacy. There's also the issue of the common army which would be loyal to the Habsburgs. Many of the soldiers who fought for Austria Hungary in WWI fought out of common loyalty to Franz-Joseph and the Habsburg dynasty rather than for say Austria or for Hungary. This was why Franz-Joseph's death was a major blow to the integrity of the Empire.
    Germany also wouldn't want AH to fall as it was its only other continental ally, and it was a major trade partner. Austria and Bohemia joining Germany also means that there's more Catholics in the Empire which will worsen the divide within Northern and Southern Germany which tended to be a Catholic/Protestant divide. Austria also entering Germany would also mean that Prussia's dominance and hegemony in the Empire is lessened thanks to two more states now entering it. If anything Germany might militarily intervene to keep AH intact. Hungary wouldn't just be able to break away either like that without a massive armed uprising as many within Hungary would still be loyal to the Emperor (such as the minorities within Hungary).

    Something I've been wondering, was how would WW1 have played out without Trench Warfare at least not at the massive trenches and no man's land level as we saw in our timeline. Like I've been wondering what would make this happen. I think the Marne would have to have been a loss for the French so the Germans kept up their momentum, and maybe even capture Paris, but maybe the French would counter attack. Essentially, I think it would have to consist of major victories or losses so both sides kept changing positions and control of regions.

      No Commentary Mobile Gaming but that’s Austria and a few ports Is very different from the domination of a sub continent, plus The Austrian east India company was only around for ten years, further more the ports that you have mentioned. The fact is Prussia didn’t have enough money to colonise India and maintain their army (which was the thing keeping them alive on the continent.

    The thumbnail flag of Germany makes it seem like it annexed the European Union of Albania, the Ottoman flag is changed for reasons currently unknown, the Bulgarian flag seems like it annexed Poland and the Austro-Hungarian flag actually makes sense. 1/4 it is then.

    The country of Georgia would have been a German protectorate, as when they declared independence from Russia, they asked Germany to make them their protectorate to keep them safe from the Ottomans. Maybe Morocco would have either regained independence, or become a German protectorate, as it is a very strategic area which would be good if they wanted to control the Mediterranean entrance.

    With the Alliance winning The Great War, maybe it would've actually been worthy of having been called "The War to End All Wars".
    The treaty of versailles and the stillborn Weimar Republic, the partitions of the ottoman empire: complete disasters out of a mix of incompetence, malice and greed... Maybe the Alliance was wrong in starting The War, but the Entente made sure to state politically that they didn't deserve their military victory.

    It's quite funny, but although this picture is very known. It actually puts Bismarck into the main ground instead of Wilhelm the I. although it is his coronation. That picture actually was a present to Bismarck's birthday. And another picture was (probably) used in the Germany Empire where Wilhelm stood in the middle. Of course it is important to note that Bismarck was the who worked on the process but it still is a fact, that this picture was originally just a birthday picture for Bismarck, hence his central and *important* position.

      Biracial Boy It could’ve been done. Hulagu Kahn’s favorite wife was Nestorian, and she would be the one to convince him to spare Christians in Baghdad, hell, Christians of the west even thought he might’ve been a descendant of Prester John. If his wife (Doquz Khatun) has enough sway and influence, and convinces Hulagu to fight on behalf of Nestorians, a Christian Ilkhanate would definitely be interested in joining the crusades.
