Just for updated info, I never used the Hayabusa ever after this video. I've since been using an ASCII Optical joystick and a Seimitsu LS-32 and have 0 complaints. But I just wanted to show how bad the Hayabusa is, and almost everyone I know who's competitive also do not like them, either.
Thanks for the heads-up. I was originally gonna go for the Hori RAP4 & buy some Sanwa buttons, but now I suppose I can go for the TE2 for the same price ($180 for the TE2 vs. $160 for the Hori + $20 or so for the buttons).
+Jason Lovi I could, but why would I want to do that with a new stick I just bought? That's the purpose of buying something new that works properly is to not have to buy additional accessories. But thanks for the input, I've heard someone else say the same. I can use it now but prefer to not usually.
would have been useful if you recorded footage of the impact the wobble hitting other directions has in game ie the unintended character movements that result. Just a thought.
+unstoppableExodia It's still useful, being there's no other video demonstrating a comparison. Also, I don't need to show it in game, if it shakes, it shakes. That's simple. I'm telling you it does it in game, but it's more about control. As I said below in the comments, I can utilize it for certain situations, but I wouldn't choose it as all around.
***** fair enough but for me the viewer I can't actually see the wobble in the footage probably due to the shutter speed of the camera. Thus I have to take the video maker's word for it. And even though I don't think it's a lie or anything and it is useful to know about it. It's just that if I could see the wobble or it's effects on in game character movement it would give me a better sense of just how bad it is.
Dizzy Roth See, that's the thing, I mod sticks myself and I could do that, but I'd rather not do that if I pay for it as-is. The JLF is just fine, while the Hayabusa is problematic for me.
+Helgen X With the stock spring the uncontrolled release tests and the shaking tests are joggling the Hayabusa up and down the V cut housing. Install a heavier spring and the issues go away. I'd more question why the spring is so light than just call it bad.
One thing I find with Hayabusa joystick is that it's ball top is more prone to spin than Sanwa JLF therefor it can make my execution worse..Sanwa joystick is just better
tooltony You're welcome, I really hope I didn't shatter your thoughts about the Hayabusa, but it really just wasn't me who didn't like to use it. I've have some fairly known players from NYC try it, and none of us really liked it. But again, it's just my and a few others opinion.
In case you didn't hear me, I have two of them, both brand new out of the box. They are just made like that, all my friends from next level, most top gamers, hate this joystick.

I rock an LS-40 with a 4 lb. spring and bat top.
Hayabusa joystick levers and Hayabusa buttons suck.
Thanks for the video

you can replace the stock spring with a stronger one, and it will solve the problem.

+Helgen X It's all preference I guess. I personally like the the Hayabusa.
2lb or 4lb spring.
@@helgenx I use the stock Sanwa with the same idea. I like for it(gameplay as well) to be authentic.
I have the same complaint, plus the ball top is pretty loose (spins too easily).
i use hayabusa stick ever since i can remember, work just fine after i replace the spring with 1.5 lbs spring. 2 lbs is too heavy for me
Do you even lift bro

my TE2 has the stock JLF still installed and it wobbles WAY more than that hayabusa does.
Have you tried replacing the springs? I put in a 2lb and it made my parrying/execution better

I'd rather just pick up a JLF and call it a day.
Helgen X If this is how you judge quality then forget the jlf and buy a seimitsu cause they wiggle less than the jlf.

put 2lb spring on Hayabusa and it become Seimitsu
More like yoshimitsu
What's the Korean Fanta stick like? That's supposed to go back to neutral really quick but is supposed to be hard to adjust to from Japanese sticks.
+atuls55 I'm not sure, but I know someone who has it so I'll ask them. A lot of Tekken players use them I know that.
Thank you man, I was considering buying either stick till I saw your vid.

I played on a JLF and loved it, no shattered dreams man. Ty again.
The wiggle your referring to is called deflection I believe, and the Hayabusa stick is really bad at it. You can add a 2lb spring that should help.
+ZombieOni
Wouldn't you also need to add an Actuator as well if you replace the standard spring?
hayabusa stick ... best stick for virtua fighter 5..
im guessing u got a bunk stick. the hayabusa installed on my hori for ps4 is fine. sucks that happened to you bro
