Gabby! Finally OMG 😁❤️❤️😍 Welcome! I started stamping in 2010, and have about 400 plates now. I absolutely love stamping - personally and on clients.
You only need a line of polish on the image, no need to cover the design on the plate completely. Will make your polish reach a little longer and waste less. Scrape and work a tad faster.
The reason why your circle was missing was because it's a large spaced image, sometimes scrapers are too soft and will scrape down into the image, they also dry a little faster so you have to work faster too. This is why it's good to have a selection of different hardness cards. Credit cards are amazing for bigger open designs and more flexible ones great for line art.
Lint rollers and scotch tape is your best friend. You can clean both stampers and your cuticles with them for the leftover and excess stamped design.
Don't let your base coat dry completely, you can rock your stamp back and forth, but it will not stick as well on a complete dry or matte surface. Have a little tack or have a travel hairspray handy and spray just a little on the nail, a clear tacky coat of polish or even transfer foil even and the stamp will transfer much easier.
Lastly, go get the free starter kit with maniology ! 😍😍
go.maniology.com/forever-young - and sign up for the ambassador programme! 😘❤️❤️❤️
I can't wait to see more stamping from you! You did so fantastic with these manis, but you always do. I love your aesthetic 😍 Lots of love! 😘❤️Xx

For two years now, basically all my mani's are stamped, I've collected about 50 stamping plates and I absolutely love the technique!! Certain designs are definitely more difficult than others, my niece was born saturday, and I stamped her name on my nails, I used a cute font which was pretty much impossible to stamp. Not one letter came out fully correct in one go and I had to re-stamp parts of the letters on every nail.

I'm sure you'll get lots of tips from everyone so I won't overload you with a bunch, but I will tell you getting a sticky, fabric roller, the to to get lint off, works great for cleaning your stamper, never use acetone on it. Tape is great for cleanup around your fingers, and invest in lots of different routes of stampers. The different shapes and squishy-ness of the various brands will pick up different types of stamps. You did GREAT. I love the modern plate you bought. I'm off to go look for it. 😊❤

Yeah I didn't either until I watched another video, but you can use regular scotch tape to clean off the stamper and not just clean off the excess design the stamper picks up. In one of the other videos I've watched, it's suggested to use scotch tape to clean off the stamper before using, just so the stamper is clean of any dust/hair on the stamp pad. Hopes this helps with your future use.

I've done stamping for a few years now and love it. You can also use less of the stamping polish. You don't have to cover the while thing. 1/3 - 1/2 depending on the size and amount of grooves. When you scrape the excess polish will fill the rest.

@Gabby Angelique - thanks for doing a video on stamping. It looks like you were having the same type of issues I was having as a beginner. But I'm learning from other videos and found some other types of techniques using stamping plates and stampers. I've been practicing and I think I'm starting to get the hang of using stamping plates/stampers. FYI, I use regular scotch tape to clean off the excess on the stamper and acetone to clean the plate. Also, I'm using Twinkle T stamping polish and Born Pretty stamping polish; just in case you want to try different brands of stamping polish. Do you think you will do a video on foiling?? I starting to get the hang of using foiling as well as stamping.
