Virgina Distilling is the closest ASM to a Speyside I have tried. Actually, more like a Craigallechie than a a Glenlivet or Glenfiddich. Love Westland and Westward for that Chocolate Malt.. Great quick intro
Hey interesting video! “U.S. whisky enthusiasts “ know this info but it’s great for beginners to listen to! I always prefer reviews of whisky expressions but this is cool! Learning is awesome! Have a terrific weekend Bill!!
50 Stone by Maine Craft Distilling is my favorite American Single Malt, though my experience with American Single Malts is limited to Stranahan's, Balcones and Maine Craft.
It's all over Texas and Illinois. Seen it in Missouri as well. Probably seen it in a lot of other states, but I specifically remember those states because I live in Missouri and have bought it in the other two. Perhaps they don't sell to CA? But that would surprise me. You might just need to be looking for better liquor stores.
Interesting that there's not an age requirement. I wonder why that is so? Also, is there a no additives requirement? Sadly, Scotland allows caramel coloring to be added to their single malts. What about ASM?
24 years in 2 minutes, 34 seconds. I remain impressed. Cheers!
Thanks! Yea these short videos take hours to put together. It's kind of nuts. I'm glad you enjoyed it
Great information and presentation. I love this series. Cheers 🥃

Stranahan's Blue Peak is the best bridge from Speyside to Colorado😊. And locally you can't go wrong with Del Bac, Arizona's best whiskey

Balcones 1 single malt - peated is delightful.
It's better than Lagavulin to me.

Corsair out of Nashville Tennessee makes an impressive single malt. I come from a bias for Islay scotch and gravitated towards the "triple smoke."
I have a bottle of that. I'm a fan!
Westward ASM!
Love Westland the most. But can’t find it now that I’ve moved from Seattle to California 😢!

I think the intent here is to allow as much creativity as possible. Limiting in any way is against the idea.
You did NOT just pronounce Oregon like that! “Ore-again”, not “Oreaygone” -with love, an Oregonian
Hah! Forgive me, I'm from MA. I am lucky to not have been cursed with the Boston accent.
I'll try to do better :)
