I bought the new TX22 Gen 2 version five months ago for $250. I now have a little over 1500rds through it. At first I was having some failure to feeds but now it runs great. The new version comes with one 16rd mag and one 22rd mag. When I purchased the TX22, Taurus had a rebate for three free additional 16rd magazines!
I have both and there great but I have to say the taurus had alot of advantages it's true striker fired it's ammo capacity is quite a bit more than the mark 4 and the aftermarket market makes magazines that are easy to install and can get the capacity up another 6 round I have hade it six years and I have only had a few failures to fire and that was very deformed ammo it's the pistol in my range bag all the time
I was on the fence about which to get since I bought a 22lr can. I always do this, buy a can then decide a host later on. I ended up on the 22/45 SSH though. I like the weight, plenty of upgrades, and the style.
Ruger looks like a communist gun, went tx22 compact, came with 2 mags and 3 mag rebate, eats everything from subs to federal bulk white box, flawless, no issues, also run it supressed. About 1500 rounds in a week , cleaned at 1000 rounds due to one failure but that was a bad ammo strike on the white box federal. Love this gun, the feel the looks, the accuracy. The ruger is an outdated style that has a lot of respect because of its legacy. Taurus stepped their game up . I got mines from bass pro for 300

@@davep5039 that’s a good deal! You can never have too many mags.
