We believe that many of our rights and civil liberties as American citizens on American soil are at great risk and that a simple act of civil disobedience has the power to effect great change. While we have no interest or intention in breaking any law, we are willing to stand up for freedom and the constitution at any time and at any place and do so in a responsible and productive manner. It is our stand that we as Americans have been either uninformed or misinformed regarding our laws and rights for far too long. We are not attorneys or scholars, however we have been involved in professional photography for over 30 years and have had our rights and freedoms challenged more times than we can remember. No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. I’m a Nevada resident, I am appalled by these police officers and am embarrassed for them. Absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional and illegal.
I'm embarrassed for the whole population of America, thank goodness I no longer live there.
If I was a resident there, I would get friends and family calling the police station and complaint.
The seargant kept saying, "He doesn't want you on HIS property. " It's not HIS property. It's the People's property.

No righteous auditor does this to get people fired just cause they don’t know the law on public photography, it’s to educate the public on our rights.
We know how cops are, they shoot first and ask questions later. When public property managers call Law enforcement,
They do it to remove you from the property, and as soon as police get there, class is in session and the auditor starts the education process.
Now, if the employees come out swinging or lie to the police dispatch during the call, that’s different and needs a different approach to be dealt with.
@@orangecounty7144 If there in no downside for the postal employee for trying to trespass someone legally on the property with a camera, and the police back him up, he's going to do it again. It would be a good idea for Amagansett Press to follow up with the USPS to inform them that there is ay least one postal employee who lacks training. Supplying this video would be a great evidence.
@@orangecounty7144 yeah I suppose having a poster seven on their very own workplace walls clearly outlining the laws is not really designed for management or employees to read and understand a legal document like that, but requesting to see a waiver to film him obviously exists on some fictitious poster he's fabricated and therefore threatening to unlawfully trespass and arrest under violation of rights should be met with a show cause as to why he should keep his job, cops behavior is typically expected of a moron.

All Nevada Law Enforcement is terrible in Clark County (Las Vegas Metro, Henderson PD, North Las Vegas PD, Las Vegas Marshal, Nevada Highway Patrol)

All LE agencies in Clark County are out of line. There’s been NO accountability whatsoever in Las Vegas. And it’s way over-policed. These guys couldn't care less about being sued or saying that because even if they lose, it costs them nothing. They get nothing taken out of pocket and they don't have any disciplinary repercussions, so they don't care. It's shameful.

The constitution, which is the Supreme law of the land. The official DHS memo, Supreme Court case law upholding the rights, and we can include the OFFICIAL POST OFFICE RULES while we are at it.
As an attorney - I don't understand why you auditors don't have a copy of the Poster 7 and DHS 2 memos to give them, make them read it out-loud so it is on the tape. These are low level cops and USPS managers, not exactly Mensa candidates.

So many videos with positive interactions have been posted showing good law enforcement by Amagansett Press, but this video got me upset. Amagansett Press please post update videos on any actions taken because we (the Subscribers) want to see if there really is any accountability (even with video proof) for violating a citizen's rights.
This is why qualified immunity MUST BE REVOKED.

Horrible policing! These two officers are a huge embarrassment and brought discredit to their police department. The postal worker is very ignorant. If he doesn't understand poster 7 then that explains why I get the wrong mail. The first police officer and the postal worker need to be suspended without pay or fired. Maybe UPS should be handling the mail?

@@FreddietheFly haven’t you noticed the change in AP actions since that settlement? It’s drastic and he’s now more within the law. The problem is that he has literally a hundred videos of him putting out bad information in relation to the USPS, publicly accessible property, and trespass.
@@FreddietheFly just my opinion but I think everything you said is right but he also was warned by his attorney that he was outside of the law in some aspects and needed to tighten up. For example he never goes inside unless it’s to buy a stamp....last year they’d walk around and video everything while arguing the merits of poster 7. I think he now knows he needs to have legitimate business and can’t just be a video tourist.

In America it's known as a claim.. which is something different than a lawsuit.. One man can file a claim against another man.. There is no implied immunity..You have to have him served by the sheriff department and brought in front of the judge, you will lose in front of their judge.. You take it to the Appellate Court, that's where you win.. a TH-cam Channel, high frequency radio speaks about the process. A captain gives a sergeant an order he gets paid to follow an order..A sworn officer gives you an unlawful order under duress.. If you verbalize and have evidence that you're following his orders for fear of physical violence, he's now infringed upon another mans rights unlawfully.. But you'll have to go in front of the judge again after he doesn't pay in collections..After you ding his credit rating, you pay the process server and go in front of the judge again for a garnishment.. A lien on a home would take place on an asset after a garnishment failed to suffice the claim..

They had one case lol, although they jump up and down and close borders for a few days its the reason we are in the position we are in which you must admit is enviable to most of the rest of the world, they have been over cautious at times but it has kept us with very low numbers, some are having more deaths a day then we have the whole pandemic.

@@richardmoore6137 Beg to differ. The ultimate outcome, after the lawsuits against all offending parties are done, will be exactly the same minus, of course, a couple of nights in jail. Jason in this case, I believe, played the situation perfectly. Discretion being the better part of valour (yes, there's a "u" in there- I'm a UK fan of AP).

But as to your point, sorry, but if he does follow up, yet *doesn't* sue the officers themselves, it's all pointless. The taxpayers pay, and the cops get confirmation that they can get away with this. Change the behavior of cops or this is all just performance.

Don't know if you saw the TH-cam he did The audit about a month ago and Henderson Nevada. I'm sure there's a lawsuit pending against them stay tuned. They violated his rights big time. It was outside of the Post Office. Check that out You will then see just how big his bark is

On the record any time you settle a case you're not admitting any guilt but it's nothing more than hush money to make it go away and so that It does not hassle you can you can move forward in life. You can technically say that is a win for him because any time the other party is willing to settle, they know that the case can potentially cause them a lot more litigation and legal costs. You have to realize depriving someone of their constitutional rights is a very serious matter. All of his encounters are validated with an objective witness called his camera. Regardless of a settlement to make him go away, The other side gave in. At the end of the day, he got paid.

That was a disgrace to the good officers that try to obey the law, to see their own officers acting like this. They need to be held accountable for their actions. I hope the lawsuit will teach them how to do their job better, because that was awful.
Sgt clearly believes he is untouchable even when he does do something wrong.
