Personally, i use the iron and bronze lassos for common horses and usually the quarts, gold, of ruby for rarer horses

I like to do what you have done here. I map the horses, mark a path, calculate how many ropes I need for 10 laps of catching, get the supplies and start grinding.
Tip for those who are having a hard time.
Do your best not to focus on the IUH spawning. Just focus on catching. Eventually, the IUH will spawn. It just takes a lot of patience.
My personal IUHs:
Forest Island, Flowery: Caught on Oct 22, 2023
Lunar Island, Neon Purple: Caught on December 15, 2023

@@haileypony13 The Flowery is an Appaloosa and the Neon Purple is a Quarter. Low tier but I'm proud of them.

I gave my iuh to my friend and she traded it..
I personally believe copper is the best lasso to use when normal horse catching, since it’s lasso hit is 4. That one qh that’s only got 4 is the lowest horse you can catch, therefore the copper is perfect, and as for rarer horses, it doesn’t take long to catch them. It’s not too expensive, usually like 10k if your just wanting a few!
Bronze is usually a nicer choice in my opinion. It's faster than copper while still being relatively cheap due to both coming from Blizzard Island. Catching in multiples of 5 is also just a lot more satisfying haha

I’m so frugal I just use stone to catch everything although I have over a mil coins
I do bronze or iron depending on where I am
I currently have 40 iron

I caught my first iuh today!! I had just finished hunting on Lunar and I saw there was a fjord herd on desert!!! And one of the fjords was a Ruby iuh!!!! I WAS FREAKING OUT! I thought it was a psl fjord with red m/t at first ( bc I’ve seen psl fjords with red m/t before ) but IT WAS ACTUALLY A FRICKIN RUBY GULBLAKK FJORD!!! When I caught her I realised she was pure too and had OG maxed stamina!! The luckiest thing I ever caught! I named her RedRuth!
Awh cg! During the valentinse (23) event i caught my first iuh in a PUBLIC SERVER
Personally I've had the best luck with this method. I've caught three and most the time it was the first log of the day! Update: This method still definitely works cause i caught an obsidian tb with og speed and neon blue teke within the same month. My luck was crazy and thatll never happen again 🤪 But we need an updated roadmap for bliz, forest and Mountain 😅

My fav is bronze lassos, is interesting to see that list of lassos and price wow, i caught 3 iuhs(2 paint horse and 1qh), 1 on 14k caught and 25k caught horses 2iuh at one day yea pretty but now its sad times, i want have iuh fjord so mach bcs im very big fan, 40k+ caught horses now but i try a try. heyy I wanna know about the bar on the horse head that tell how hard to catch it. Can you tell if its an IUH by the bar? Or only if you watch closely to the mane & tails colors
The progress bar cannot tell you if a horse is an IUH. It doesn't change if the horse is an IUH, it'd be the same as if it weren't an IUH :)

I'd say they're equals. I've caught 5 using Refresh, 4 using Mass Capture.

ive looked and looked before for months when im in rpiv servers and ive never caught one before. :,[
It really does just take a lot of time and patience. IUH hunting is almost entirely luck, with the game being the final decision maker on whether one spawns.

It takes a very long time! This tutorial cannot guarantee an iuh, as that's entirely down to RNG and luck, but it should help you hunt more efficiently, which is helpful in the long-run. :)

Sucks that the refresh thing wont work anymore :/ with the new update you spawn back at mainland every time you leave the game so you'd just be wasting money to keep travelling back to islands every time
Just even more proof that Free Travel is the superior gamepass 😭 Though, usually once you get to level 500, travel fees aren't that bad

Les chevaux Island Unique Hair ont une chance d’apparition de 1 sur 9,000 ! Cela signifie qu’ils sont très difficiles à trouver, ce qui prend beaucoup de temps pour les trouver ! Parfois, cela peut prendre des heures, d'autres fois, cela peut prendre des jours, voire des semaines (et dans certains cas, des mois).
Island Unique Hair horses have a 1 in 9,000 spawn chance! This means they are very hard to find, making it take a lot of time to find them! Sometimes it can take hours, other times it can take days or even weeks (and in some cases, months).

I caught one a few months ago on forest island but back then I did not know the value of it and I sold it I regret it so much😭

There is no "best island" per say, but Jungle has the best odds due to an increased amount of spawn points. Overall, every spawn point on every island has a 1/9000 chance of the horse that spawns being an iuh.

Volcanic red is not an Island Unique Hair Color. You're most likely thinking of Volcanic Orange, often referred to as volcanic red by mistake. :)
