The secret to wearing a well fitting blouse that is figure hugging, and wide at the neck without a string at the back, is to cut the front in cross cut aka bias cut. And make the blouse 1/2 inch smaller than the bust on either side. Because the material is in cross, and the gap is there, it is possible to pull the blouse and fit it firmly over the bust. It doesn’t move and it holds it shape completely. If the neck in the front is a rounded V, the blouse can be worn all day and will not move here and there. It’s a snug fit.
