31:49 That was absolutely fucking terrifying!!! I've never seen this POI, nor heard anything like that in vanilla. I literally sat here giggling with my mouth open in disbelief once all those zombies came pouring out, lmao. What a stressful, torturous series. Very excited to watch you continue trying to survive this playthrough!
I had the biggest grin on my face when you decided to set up shop in that innocent looking little cabin. Glock is on the struggle bus and I am LOVING it! 🤣
That was the absolute most epic 1st episode ever! I thought I recognized the nice flowers in from of that cozy little cabin, I could almost hear: "we're gonna get you, we're gonna get you!". You need a chain saw!
This is EXACTLY what I wanted from these settings!! Adding that pack to change up the POIs refreshes everything nicely too. The title and intro fit so well too. I'm hoping for many tension-filled episodes to come!!
Holy crap, what a debut episode. This is crazy! I think Healing Factor, Pain Tolerance, and Cardio are going to be essential to put at least one point into for this series. Maybe Parkour, as well.
@@Rdlprmpf12 Hm... I don't think I've ever had a starvation problem in this game, but then again, I've never had a base in the Wasteland. There certainly are fewer options for food there. I see what you mean. That could be problematic. I guess you could throw a point into that trait that lets you eat less. What's it called? Iron Gut? That would probably even it out, right?
Ooh good point! I wondered about the door frame that (I think?) I saw around the front entrance. If those frame blocks extend out onto the porch, they are probably having some kind of effect too, @Glock9
21:11 - Stun baton is a great idea tbh, Guns Nerds and Steel uses stun baton with Repulsor Mod and Nerd Tats candy that gives you 1.2 meter shock radius. You should try that combination maybe you will like it :)
Layering blocks with several plates seems like a must with how they melt through everything like that. Good luck Glock! Expert handling that madness day 1!
When you went down to the second basement and heard that sound it was absolutely terrifying and exhilarating!! Seeing them pour out the house was awesome! I am totally looking forward to more.
Good call on the stealth build. Its my go to build almost every game massive damage with the bow early game. Just dont step on trash piles they give you away. Destroying the piles makes less noise. Edit: Get used to doing most things crouched to not attract attention lol.
Glock9 woke up in a sweat. The house on the hill surrounded by snow had been a nightmare. Though he had successfully defeated the horde, Glock9 knew that living in the apocalypse never ended so well. The ramshackle cabin around him felt flimsy. He remembered the bear that he had killed that day and the grotesque, bloated faces of the zombies that had chased him through the wasteland. As he sat catching his breath, he thought the dream was what had woken him. But from the hatch in the corner an ominous sound came again...
Yeah, this first base is the problem I have with the compo-pack stuff... some of the creators think they're creative because they shove a room full of a bajillion zombies and have them drop down on you. They don't try to come up with interesting ways to challenge the player... just moar zombies. Otherwise, great episode and an interesting concept for a new series.
If you go stealth, you almost have to go with light armor for it to be effective. Even with stealth skills maxed out, and muffled mods in heavy armor, the zeds will still detect you from a long distance away. If you get T6 military armor with armor mods it has roughly the same defense as maxed out iron armor without armor mods, so it's not too terrible.
As soon as I saw the cabin I new you were screwed. I did the same thing on day 1, but I die 5 times cause a zombie pushed me off the hatch ladder and glitched me into a wall. It gets crazy on the 2nd basement level! Great episode Glock!
Block damage is only supposed to be towards blocks, but I'm thinking it also counts for entity's as well. I've noticed that when I up my own block DMG to 300% it takes less hits to kill them, especially when bonking them on the head with a club/bat. That might need more testing and a looking into via a bug report.
Having played a wasteland only map myself, i can tell you, with certainty, that you can get stone EVERYWHERE. The regular ground with the rubble texture will get you stone when you smack it.
OK let me teach you the combo of death. What you wanna do is quickly switch from your stun Paton to your knife. This will cause bleed damage and take them down quickly. stun them 1st then stab them a couple of times then stun them again. It's amazing how effective this is and easy to do.
@12:25 That reaction, LOL! Would think he saw a spider or something. Starting out in the wasteland sure does something to ones mentality 😅 Great episode btw! Really looking forward to this series 😁
So many people hate on the stun baton, but it is my favorite weapon. 3 major tips to use it effectively: 1) Focus on regular attacks. It's all about speed. The faster you can hit 'em, the more frequently you can shock 'em (make sure to put points into Flurry of Blows in addition to Electrocutioner). 2) Start snatching up every single Nerd Tat you can and stockpiling them. They turn the shock effect into an Area-of-Effect attack. 3) Get that Repulsor Mod ASAP. It makes the stun baton lethal on it's own, but if you combine this with the Nerd Tats, and you're gonna start feeling like fucking Sauron, sending groups of zombies flying backwards. And since you're gonna be dumping points into Intellect anyway, I'd also recommend going into Robotics, too. I'm telling ya, a modded stun baton and two junkies spewing AP ammo can cut through groups of zombies like fucking butter.
Glock, I know you just started this series, but I had a cool idea and I think you’d do it the best. A series that takes place 200 years after the start of the apocalypse, a custom map with only desolate lands, roads, wrecked cars, and burnt out houses, and no loot. Everything has been picked over and you’re forced to craft all of your tools and weapons from scratch. No looting, no traders, just well placed skill points and taking apart every scrap of what’s left of the old world to fight against zombies and build a base. I think the struggle would be real, and all resources would become precious.
Moltov & Contact Grenade's. You're going to need a shit ton of moli's and grenade's I'm thinking for the combo pack series. Loop base is a good idea. Especially one where they don't have direct access to you but think they do. Lovin' the series so far. Glad to see you didn't head straight to the trader. Made do with what you can find is a true test of survival imo. & Makes it feel more like an "I'm alone apocalypse".
If you want slightly better doorways, you can place a door on the block outside the doorway, rotate it to fit on the edge of it, and make an airlock between them for an extra layer
Put points into Deep Cuts to get that bleeding affect. If u max it it really helps. Works with spears and knives but u already know. Shit works so good. Poke them once and step back for a minute let em bleed out.
This is gonna be a tough series boss. With the shock baton, I would advise mixing up the damage. Once they are shocked, stab them with the spear. Adding some bleed damage is always a win. Also, fire! Hope you find a burning shaft mod soon. Hope this series gets up there in episode numbers but it's looking kinda grim. If anyone can pull this off, you can. All hail Glock 9, King of 7 Days to Die!
Hey Glock9, I would like to say how much you made my life on TH-cam. You have helped me learn how to fight and build in 7 days to die. And not to mention you are the only 7 Days To Die TH-camr I enjoy watching. Thank you for all the videos that you've made so far and good luck to you Glock9!
As someone in the know of how dangerous that innocent looking cabin is, I just let out an evil laugh when glock says that the cabin looks peaceful. Boy oh boy. He is in for some wrecking indeed.
Glock, I just found you a couple weeks ago. I've binged ALL your A20's and just made it to Nightmare Ep40 yesterday. Keep doing what you're doing, man! You remind me of my friends back home and helping me through my days.
Compo pack is no joke! I did a small cabin similar to that and it was a clown car show just like you experienced. I remember thinking, "How many zombies can be in there", the answer, a whole F' en bunch! Great episode 1
What works for me, at least early game, is I will electrify the zombie with the stun baton and then follow it up with a shiv power attack to the head. Sometimes I can get two hits in to start that bleed damage. The shiv uses less stamina and will usually knock Gilligan's head right off, especially with a tier 6 shiv.
This episode was absolutely amazing last night watching it. I checked it and hadn't been exactly 11 months and some days since I've actually ran and played 7 days to die. This episode was so entertaining that I went right in and I've been playing since!
Hey Glock! I just want too say Thankyou. Thankyou for all your amazing content. I have been watching you every single day for almost 6 months now after watching your city life 7 days to die series! I’ve struggled with severe depression and anxiety, and during my depression days, I will lay in bed all day and watch episode after episode. ❤️ I appreciate you and all the content you push out for us. ❤️ - Kendra
20:31 - dude i looked for like 5 min to get a clue of how did that dog died! I came to the conclusion that somehow he fall trough the map all the way to the bedrock and when he teleported back he still get the fall damage. That was some very lucky event my dude, surely that dog and zombies would have killed you :D
Holy shit! I thought I had it bad when I got bum-rushed by 20-odd irradiated and feral zombies after running out of ammo on a Tier 5 quest today... But my jaw dropped when I saw all of those zombies come out of that bunker on your first day! The Darkness Falls and Compo Pack mods look fascinating. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the series now.
I just screamed noooooo when you said let's set camp in this little cabin. After my first visit there I couldn't sit for 2 days. Good job surviving it at day one.
Thank you for this. I'm crying I'm laughing so hard. OMG that bunker. "Of course it's clear out here! Every zombie in the game spawned in my house!" LOL!
Just a hint, When using stun batons combine them with a different weapon with higher damage for the best results. Like a stun baton and a club is my usual set up when I do hoard every night and it works so well that I usually use that up until like day 25.
Wow. For the first time in a LONG time Glock was not in control. That was tense. I don't think I've seen such a tense day 1 since the gunz only series back in 19. Bravo!
"Who the fuck is dropping off air drops to us? Really? Nobody is, we're all fuckin alone." The traders would like a word with you on that last bit there
I think i would avoid downstairs again until grenades. You totally should have left that first room to take care of some of that horde. you'd be level 20 already. Long corridors i still recommend sniper rifle, AP ammo and perpetrator perk but if you are going stun baton and INT anyway get a junkie fast. They can save your life in Jersey if nothing else they start shooting the things sneaking up on you. (THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING!!!!)
Probably the most intense 1st episode by far.
Running down Dishong Tower for City Life was up there lol

I feel like this series is going to be just as chaotic as One Shot Kill was, and I'm so hyped for it!
Tons of zombies follow Glock, close to death - "Hey, weapons bag."

I remember this cabin bunker to be an absolute deathtrap in Darkness falls. What a lovely choice for a base
That bunker is broken cause its damn near impossible to survive unless you know the layout

@petrus tier 5?! I did see that the foot print was big but woow. The bear in the sh*t hole do not sound so bad now.
