You should make this a series. Either like several episodes for an entire play through of a country or something like A-Z where you play a bunch of nations, but not necessarily all of them.
@@BluestripsenclaveloveNot even close to disappointing. We get plenty of focus trees. From the communists in Canada to the river nations in Stoon. This is nowhere close to disappointing.
Play as Ejercito Mexico. I like the roleplay, a manic AI grieving the mental decline of his father while trying to restore Mexico. Plus they’re not sandwiched in between two great powers, so I think it’s way easier. Mexican robot armies, what’s not to love?
@@xxslomegaxx9574 Texas isn’t really a big player once the Alamo chapter breaks away, and Rio Grande can be bottlenecked through key rivers, and then pushed once they’ve exhausted themselves against your lines. The real threats are the Legion, but more importantly, the southern Aztec empires.
There is a few ways to win as Mr. House. One way is to support the NCR during the war. If they are hopeless the way they were in this game, and you don't think you can take them solo, your only recourse is to survive. As long as Caesar does not capture New Vegas, he will more than likely drop dead because of a brain tumor. (The Navajo can supposedly heal him too, but I've never seen the AI do this.) When this happens, the Legion has a very high chance of descending into civil war. Picking off the smaller factions when that happens is a lot easier than taking on the entire thing.
@@heathdionne7717 In my experience, the Mojave Brotherhood is significantly stronger than Mr House, assuming you know how to win Operation Sunburst and white peace the first Battle for Hoover Dam. Pretty much every nation in this mod has a fun focus tree, would be great to get more videos on it (also the expansion options were probably in the decisions tab lol)
A lot of them just have generic trees. First game i played as the divide and the focus tree was so disappointing for a nation that has so much lore put into it
To be fair, they have different types of generic focus trees, and even they are also pretty fun. For example, generic raiders get the ability to threaten thier neighbors. Even if they don't comply, with a few focuses you can start border wars to steal caps instead. It's been fun for me to just click random nation and see where that takes me, for most of the games at least... Also, one of the focuses on the raider tree is just called "Woman's Rights through violence" and it's just funny.
To be honest, i always loved to play as brotherhood: apart from lore and style they also have kind of an easter egg of paladins (originally elit fast deployment unit) to be, well, fast deployed. Hense, PARATROOPERS. With the air superiority of chineese fighter jets and zeppelines/vertiberds as transport, old good meme of parstrooper meta actually becomes true)
favorite mod by a long shot. big update on the 28th of feb. Good starting points are Montana Chapter, Macarthur, Texas, Ejército Mexicano, and the shi (navarro territory can be absorbed through defending one side in the civil war really early allowing options for nothward expansion)
I do enjoy this mod a lot. I've played it more than vanilla lol. If you're interested in doing more, the BC area is pretty neat for something different, also the Twin Mothers or Ouroboros (that bit about the fall of Diana was about Twin Mothers). Those two mostly deal with Lanius on Caesar's eastern border.
Not really, to be fair, it is simpler than vanilla hoi4. Hell, this is how I actually learnt to play the game. There are nations with no fancy mechanics and are just a bunch of conquering and pillaging (Troll Warren or Lanius' Cohort). The "meta" combat width is 20 for ALL terrain, and you can generally push AI with most things you have.
Fun fact about Caesars Legion. If you notice, basically all of the Legion and people who work/respect them, they say Caesar as originally intended. Kai-Sar. And people who don’t respect, care or hate the Legion say Caesar as See-sar. The more you know :)
I think pronouncing Caesar with a K is how the Romans said it originally and I don't know why the legion pronounce it like that, obviously we pronounce it differently in English but if you consider the German Kaiser, that's pretty much the same word with a very similar pronunciation and obviously descends from Caesar
First, you missed the fact robots use electricity (the batteries up top and you had none) you can build plants to make more electricity, also robot divisions are op as hell you just gotta make them good, I go with 6 light and 3 or 6 heavy, along with all the cnc attachments, also in the robot doctrine you went one of the sides but you missed (I think) the middle that is researchable without messing the other two sides, robot divisions are op, full robot army can win me a war with Ceasars legion without even airplanes, it's easy asf, you gotta know how to use them tho
The trick to New Vegas is to take out the sky reavers ASAP, collect them bonuses from holding Area 51, then take out the Mojave Outpost before the second battle for hoover dam. At that point, it's up to u which direction u want to expand!
Aye but the robots, vaults, and general vibe are similar enough. I started 3 years ago I just never got into it so this was enough of a push.@@mrfunnyperson100
New Vegas is like their oldest and probably one of the weakest trees in the whole mod, it’s been slated for a rework for sometime now. You should definitely try some of the newer trees.
Your problem was that you didn’t make infantry the robots are really good at attacking but trash at defending so you put infantry units into your front that do nothing but hold the line and leave the attacking to your robots
I still don't understand while till this day, they didn't fixed selecting units through building menu. I thing like paradox but also most people don't care about this supper annoying thing (nobody is mentioning it on the internet), but for me it's one of the most annoying things in game and should be fixed years ago.
Alex, not to rain on the parade, but Vegas’s content is some of the oldest in the mod. Nations like California, the legion, and the newer nations in Texas, Montana, Mexico etc. have much more content.
New Vegas has barely changed from when it was one of the first countries to appear on the map, and it's rather dated. There are a couple of submods that improve and expand it, and it rather needs them.
*The house always wins...*
Hehehe
Unless you live in Canada 🇨🇦 🖍
I actually would really recommend playing as the Mojave brotherhood in this mod. It's one of my favourite hoi4 countries
