With a pretty pier lined with multi-coloured beach huts, top seafood restaurants, the Jerwood Gallery, bookshops, cute cafes, England’s steepest funicular railway, an old high street lined with independent stores, Source Park, and hidden gems galore - Hastings offers plenty of things to do.

Lived there many years ago and great memories, especially my time playing for Hasting & Bexhill RFC. - spent many a drunken Saturday night in the old pavillion at the Polegrove park before heading into town to French's pub.
Great video! We loved Hastings when we made our road trip from Holland all the way to Cornwall. Hastings was a nice stop over for us.

Awesome video however with dating a guy from hastings he makes the point so much where you visited was The Old Town which is so lovely. Hastings is a bit further up and into st leonards x
@@B72Gary I agree. I also hate the ponsy pier now. I am hoping new Eastbourne owner turns it back to something like it used to be, where you can give kids a fiver and not see them for hours.

You should have left the seagul part in as that is 100% hastings......they would take your dog if they could carry it and eat it without a fight......biggest tip to hastings cover your food from the sight of the sky......they are watching......always

If you have been one of ours, you are always one of ours lol You will never forget Hastings and always want to return unless you walk away from the beach, throw a stone with a hole in it over your shoulder and don't look back..... apparently. Don't know, I have never left lol
My family were one of the first in Hastings, we built a lot of the old houses you see in All Saints Street. Hope you had a good day!

@@lizbourn4192 How disgusting, are you incapable of starting a conversation without being a condescending twat? 117 All Saints, The New Moon Inn, The Norfolk, all the houses in Bourne Walk that are no longer there, rebuilt almost every house you see on that road with the families that occupied them. My family are the Moon family, previously the De Mohun family, we are well documented. A favourite family of Matilda and William the Conqueror.
@@lizbourn4192 For your info, we also built the lifeboats on display and manned them and had them taken by the government during the war. You will find my family again, well documented, in the Fishermans museum and any other historical works on Hastings Old Town.

Ah have a great time - we loved it there!
I've lived in Hastings since I was born (up until 14). I moved out of the town 4 months before this video was uploaded. I can tell from experience that it's a town where you're better off staying at the beach or old town. Because I can tell you from my own experience that if you stay there and go deeper into the town (either the Town Centre or Silverhill or Hollington) you'll quickly see that it isn't a very pleasant place. I used to live in Silverhill and the crime that existed there was exponential. Looks can be deceiving so don't let it fool you.
Of course, I want to be positive so I will say that you definitely caught the good part of Hastings. Even though I've had dodgy experiences with it, it's still a decent place for a day out with old and new friends. Much love
Thanks. I was thinking of moving there, because property is so cheap. Heard a lot of negatives, but looking at the crime stats, it seems quite low. I am from London though, so I suppose it's all relative...
Hastings is the best place to enjoy and it has attractive beach when iwas student East Sussex college Hastings i was excited ♥️

Nice vid! I'm from Hastings. Living in Asia now but I do miss the old place, esp the pier which is starting to get more like it used to be now, with lots of parties and events going on there.
It's a lovely little town! I liked the pier a lot although the thundery clouds were rolling in throughout the day!

Yea you can get the train from London Bridge. Its normally a faster one too.
Once I threw a chip on my friend on Hastings beach and the seagulls realised that I have chips so the seagulls got the whole bag of chips 😕😞😞☹️😂😂 I have to admit it was quite funny 😄

You should visit again there a new pizza place that does aged sourdough bases done by two Italians. Morellis or something like that in george Street. It's authentic good food.
