Nottingham Forest are the reason we need to stop talking about teams like Manchester United constantly. I would say any Club that prefers to retain the services of a central defender as bad as Victor Lindelof for nearly a decade and never bring in a central defender of the quality of a Nikola Milenković are, in my opinion, not a big Club anymore and definitely not serious about mounting a title challenge anymore, so why give them so much attention?. Well done Forest for this season, you've been a breath of fresh air. Reminds me of that Forest team of the 1994/95 season.
It’s beautiful even as a ‘big six’ supporter to see a handful of teams like Forest, Brighton & Fulham growing and actually shaking up expectations of the PL

I doubt any Forest fan believed this would happen at the beginning of the season but many of us were very confident during the pre-season that we would do well. We could see the way Nuno went about his business and it did inspire confidence.
Fan for 45 years, but I predicted 14th this season, so clearly not as confident as you sir ! I think we have done well due to no injuries (Sangare doesn't count !), AND Man Utd, Spurs, Man City and Villa are all doing much less well than usual. That's not our fault, but it certainly helps ! If we beat Liverpool next week, I will think that 5th is actually likely. Anything less, and I reckon we will finish 6th or 7th. We are bound to have a bad spell of say 4 games with No WIns (like Chelsea now), and my fear is Wood getting injured. Bring on next Tuesday.
Forest lost I think seven matches last season by 3-2 so an improvement in defense - less goals conceded would make a major difference. I bet that Forest would finish in the top half way back in August at 9/1 odds and have already collected. Nuno has assembled a brilliant squad.

For about 4-5 years 😂😂😂 Simon have you seen what Nottingham Forest have won. Before Clough we’d already won 2 FA cups. After him we’d won a league, 2 UCL’s, 1 UEFA Super cup, 4 league cups and a charity shield. Would have won way more but was disqualified for Europe for 5 years for not our wrong doings.
Don't want to burst your bubble but the prospect of playing Liverpool doesn't phase me so the other fixtures certainly don't. Have you seen our results in the last 6 fixtures? We have not been playing bottom 5 every week you know! There is no reason in the world why we cannot keep this form up. Believe! COYR!
I don't think it's an issue. Southampton, Bournemouth, Fulham no problem. Anyone decent at home. We have 18 points in 6 games, and they weren't thought easy. Liverpool have 12. Liverpool wiĺ come for draw.
@@gaiustesla9324 Well rather be where we are than any other club Chelsea down. Because we are 3 points above the Champions league tracker. And we were at one stage on for the Europa league tracker (1.57 points per game). That's what 6 games, 18 points gives you. These trackers surfaced some time ago on some Forest TH-cam channels. We were at first talking about Europa league, now no one is as on course for 3rd place minimum. If we lost to Liverpool we would still be on for top 4. Which is why I thought Wolves game was a must win. Many pundits thought a draw. For me I have a bet of £20 at 25/1 for top 4, so don't want 5th. Not counting the money yet but now 3/1. So we know the direction of travel. I also have 2 minor bets for top 2, one at 80/1 and one at 50/1. I expected these to be losers. But Arsenal lost to Newcastle last night, so don't think they are great. Since they lost Saka. I'm certainly seeing Newcastle as the problem. But can they catch Forest, being 5 points behind. The bookie I went to not accepting top 2 bets but others are 10/1-20/1. And for the win is 40/1. Some bookies 50/1. So might have a fiver for the win because well who knows? But still think there is value for Forest bets. And really I don't get how we could be now lower than top 6. The Irish guy yesterday said 8th. But he acknowledged this would mean 18 points more (58 in total). Meaning Forest would have to be in last years form, who would think that (one point per game). Alice talks Football said 6th, it also means that we would have to be not much more than 20 points in 18 games. But can we trust someone who said relegated? At start of season. And I went on OPTA super computer yesterday, apparently they think we will do worse than Crystal Palace in 2nd half of season. As think we will get 60 points (so 23 2nd half and Palace 24 according to Opta). This is apparently because our XG suggests 30 points and we have 40. But then why won't we get 67 (30 2nd half). The answer to our 3rd place and not 8th (as OPTA think we should be 8th on XG) is that we are taking the chances created and other teams are not. Why shouldn't that continue? Honest question.
The CL obsession has become absurd for teams like Forest. You want 1 season in the CL to derail your club? Its been proven 100 times, Forest couldn't handle playing every 3 days. You're benefiting from a full week to prepare while big clubs are playing 2 sometimes 3 in 8 days. You want Newcastle last season? Embarrassed in the CL, endless injuries and a terrible prem season?
@@Elgrecos dispelled that myth? They were singing to sack Emery 5 weeks ago. They're 8th in the table (2 points off 10th) and they're about to play 7 more games by February 1st. almost a game every 3 days. Forest play 5 in that time frame... do you think forest would have a good month if they added Bayern & Juventus into their schedule this month like Villa did earlier in the season?.... not to mention 6 other CL games they've already played along the way while forest had rest or training days Footballers are not robots. You don't even have time to train t... and you think your squad without any training is ready for champions league games? its laughable
@@johnfulco8313 No idea where you have this singing to sack Emery myth from, you've just pulled that out of thin air. Villa are also 4 points off the top 4, they've stayed in the race for top 4/5 with the addition of CL. I wish Forest fans the best, I hope they get CL football and enjoy every minute of it next season.
@@johnfulco8313 not sure why you have to be so hostile, you come off like a very angry person. Chill, man. While Villa are 2pts off 10th, they are equally only 4pts off 4th and 3pts off 3rd all while still being 5th in the UCL. Literally not one Villa fan was calling for Unai to be sacked, and it's actually mental that you said that mate, there is no need to exaggerate to such an extent to try to make your point. Villa are having a fantastic season and only recently dipped in form causing them to drop a few places, so why can't someone like Forest mimic that? P.S I'm not a Forest fan
@@Elgrecos you must not live in the country... they were singing in villa park to sack emery. Or do you live under a rock?? They literally had segments on Talksport about their own fans signing it when they were struggling this autumn. If you want to use your logic in your second paragraph... they're having a fantastic season? United are 9 points off them when the entire world said they were getting relegated a week ago. Doesn't seem like they're having a fantastic season when they could realistically be in a similar position by february. It has nothing to do with being hostile... it is being realistic. Why can't forest be like villa? Their squad... i mean for gods sake, look at how FFP works. What happend to villa last summer? They literally had to sell to buy with CL football. Do you think forest will have 300 million to spend? Forest are simply benefiting from playing one game a week for 4 months while the big clubs have been playing 2-3. That's not harsh. That's not hostile.... that is the reality. It was the same for newcastle. It was the same for Leicester. it is the same for villa right now... You don't just magically go from finishing bottom half, to a squad 16 deeps of champions league quality players to play in the league, CL, domestic cups.

We have never called ourselves a big club. What we are known for is doing the most remarkable thing in the history the game. Those 4 years when we got promoted then took your league title the same year then knocked you out of Europe and went on to win it back to back.
4 FA Cups, 6 League Cups, 2 European Cups and a Uefa Cup (3 Uefa Super Cups and 4 Community Shields...if you count those)...yes no league title in that 30 year period but people make it sound like Liverpool were Tottenham or something. They were still competitive at the top level.

@languageoffootball I'm amazed there isn't another anti competition lawsuit on the books tbf
For about 4-5 years 😂😂😂 Simon have you seen what Nottingham Forest have won. Before Clough we’d already won 2 FA cups. After him we’d won a league, 2 UCL’s, 1 UEFA Super cup, 4 league cups and a charity shield. Would have won way more but was disqualified for Europe for 5 years for not our wrong doings.
i think they can do a leicester and win the league, the whole squad is fit and no european games
well they are in great form, it is whether they can carry on for the rest of the season....
What's this about holes in the squad?
@AchtungBaby77 hehe i mean whole
@@DarreBet 😂
happy to see Nuno do well and for them to get Europe but no thanks to winning the league, how depressing
Take a look at the run of fixtures they have coming up..... not to burst anyones bubble.
Good luck fella's, you're gonna need it.
Villa have dispelled that myth this season
@@Elgrecos dispelled that myth? They were singing to sack Emery 5 weeks ago. They're 8th in the table (2 points off 10th) and they're about to play 7 more games by February 1st. almost a game every 3 days.
Forest play 5 in that time frame... do you think forest would have a good month if they added Bayern & Juventus into their schedule this month like Villa did earlier in the season?.... not to mention 6 other CL games they've already played along the way while forest had rest or training days
Footballers are not robots.
Winning the European cup in the Stone Age doesn’t make you a big club.
Blackburn won the prem, are they a big club?
Iam a forest fan but we won't be able to play in champion because the owner has a onother club that plays in Europe
Liverpool will stamp their authority next time they play Forest 😂😂😂

Take notice forest will win league don’t be talking about top four it will be top
sulky simon hates to give praise to Forest because he doesnt want to admit he was wrong to write us off at the start of the season .. even if we win the league he will make some moany comments
With those awful thick rimmed glasses Jordan looks more like a Thunderbird every day.
We didn’t want to be in the premier league Simon 😛 championship was much more fun 😂 we’ve decided to bother now…deal with it 😂

Farmer league vibes
Forest spent hundreds of millions, it's not a surprise they aren't down the bottom but Nuno is doing incredible things.
you are clueless, mate.
You shouldn't comment on something you know absolutely nothing about
Hundreds of millions 🤦
forest fluked 2 european cups beating Hamburg and Malmo (who?)
😂😂😂 flukes😂😂😂😂

They didnt fluke beating Liverpool in round 1 of the European Cup, who at the time were the best team in Europe
@@scotthands43961979, Birtles i think. Stopping Pool from 3 in a row.
That Forrest fan talking about " doing a Liverpool & winning 1 title in 30yrs". That was our dark era which still included winning 2 European cups , Multiple FA Cups & League Cups. Meanwhile Forrest were languishing in the Championship for 25+ years yet still call themselves "a big club"
Everton fans are real from the city Liverpool stadium quite tbh
We have never called ourselves a big club. What we are known for is doing the most remarkable thing in the history the game. Those 4 years when we got promoted then took your league title the same year then knocked you out of Europe and went on to win it back to back.
4 FA Cups, 6 League Cups, 2 European Cups and a Uefa Cup (3 Uefa Super Cups and 4 Community Shields...if you count those)...yes no league title in that 30 year period but people make it sound like Liverpool were Tottenham or something. They were still competitive at the top level.
Your comment isn’t worth anything when you can’t spell Forest 🤡
@jamesanthony9316 no he ment wen Gerrard slipped

Financial cheats 👍
😂 £105m allowable losses for 3 years in the Prem. Forest will be well under that amount when accounts are released in the next week 👍🏼

HEY WHITE, FOREST ARE THIRD IN THE LEAGUE. NOT JOINT SECOND. ARSENAL ARE SECOND WITH A GOAL DIFFERENCE OF TEN.
Spurs nearly won in 2015 . Thats how bad it was
