It's Sunday! A great day to relax and take a break from the normal day-to-day Pokemon life. Today we analyze the Pokemon singles market and some card sales are getting too relaxed.

We break down this Pokemon Market Slip and give you some insight into cards you may consider adding to your collection soon. Be careful, some of these Pokemon cards may have farther to fall while other Pokemon Singles may have reached their bottom.

For me, these prices vs pull rates create an environment where buying singles makes more sense. I'd rather buy older singles for now though, modern will drop more.
I hope that is the case. Some of these modern cards are holding on longer than expected. When they are out of rotation for the tcg we may see an impact then.

I hope prices go down a bit more. I love illustration rares and they are way to expensive most of the time but I think some illustration rares will be crazy expensive when scalet and violet will be stopped printed.
Whenever possible, I like to pick up illustration rares, just about any of them, when they are $2 or less. I believe the artwork of this era is underappreciated as a whole.

I've been back into Pokemon TCG for one week after a long hiatus and giving away a lot of stuff to my nephews. I've been looking at and getting video recommendations for Pokemon content so you're obviously doing something right.
Feedback: Talking voice is really nice. Calm, good volume. BUT, slow down a little bit. With a smooth voice, it gives the video the chill tempo, but that's reduced if you speed up. There's a lot of BAM! in your face channels. What you have is different, so leverage that. Just my humble opinion/taste in channels.
Back in 2015/2016, I ran a podcast and the tone and tenor of my voice was a main takeaway for many listeners. It's an editing problem these days. If I can keep it shorter the rendering process doesn't take as long. As it is between recording, editing, rendering, thumbnail design, and upload it's about 3 hours a day. Most of that is rendering so I set it and forget it for a while. I think slowing down would be okay. Most viewers fall off about halfway through the video so I have been cramming in as much info as possible. I'll try a few slowed down a bit and see how that serves the market. Thank you for the feedback! It's comments like yours that help me understand my audience better! I appreciate you taking the time and supporting the channel!
I love the Galarian legendary birds. I hope they don't disappear to Pokémon history like primal Groudon and primal Kyogre.
I could see them laying back on these and in a few years bring them back. They have recycled EX I think Pokemon would do well to bring back GX and then V again. Time will tell.
Crown Zenith has to be the most fun set to open

Yeah those hype surges are pretty crazy but time heals all things and the market cools.
I love stocking up on those cheaper illustration rares, even if they’re not going for much, less than $2 for a really cool card is something I just can’t pass up
Agreed! When you can pick up 2 illustration rares for less than the price of a pack it's hard not to! Doing these videos and continually pouring over the cards and prices is always dangerous for my collection budget. Even when they are such a great price it can add up.

Just rejoined this scene and it’s weird since I was in stocks and crypto for a minute, just to see people talk about cards the same as stocks. I like it.
The investment side has been fueling my passion for the hobby. Opening packs is fun but acquiring the cards you truly want and holding product as an investment has been more enjoyable for my part in this space.

I have heard that. It was a tin where I pulled a Brilliant Charizard alt art so that's proof enough for me.
I gave up collecting back in the early 00s when my mom threw away my base set collection because the church said it was bad. Now I'm trying to complete my dreams.
We had similar mothers. Mine warned me several times how dangerous it was. She especially didn't like it when I started competing in MTG. Luckily she never tossed them and in the long run that upbringing made me a better man than many others I knew in my community/school.
Think about starting a collection. Might buy my first pack tomorrow.
Were you ever into the hobby before? What do you like most about the Pokemon TCG? I would love to get an idea about what you may want to start out collecting! I have had to refine my collection several times and I am still narrowing it down to what truly inspires me.

If you just love the artwork, you get these practically dirt cheap in japanese, magikarp AR is like 25 bucks!
That is a great approach. For many that is a great way to go. For idiots like me, the English version is the top of the heap so that is where I am drawn. It's counter intuitive but my dumb collector brain always wants the best version of the collectible. It's truly annoying in my head lol

I agree with all of that! The Chansey is pretty cool I am watching that one close. If it can't move down anymore the opportunity may be soon. When new sets release that usually helps tamper some prices as well.

Yeah, they always bump up and slip down. Usually no major shifts but over time.it is like stocks, precious metals, or real estate; a slow upward trend over time.

Yeah, definitely interesting times. Modern has not been stable in growth for a while now and the outside factors pushing the market up or down seem to be unusual
