Using this image as a reference (of Unicron about to eat Galvatron), we can visually estimate the scaling between Unicron and Galvatron. Based on the scene: 1. Visual Estimate: Unicron appears colossal compared to Galvatron-likely over 100 times larger in robot mode. 2. Galvatron’s Size: If the Studio Series 86 Galvatron is 8.5 inches tall, we can multiply this by the estimated scale factor: \text{Unicron{\prime}s Toy Height} = 8.5 \times 100 = 850 \text{ inches}. 3. Conversion to Feet and Meters: • Feet: \frac{850}{12} \approx 70.8 \, \text{feet} . • Meters: 70.8 \, \text{feet} \times 0.3048 \approx 21.6 \, \text{meters} . Final Answer: A scale-accurate SS86 Unicron would need to be approximately 850 inches (70.8 feet or 21.6 meters) tall. Let me know if you’d like a more detailed analysis or adjustments to the scale!
If they release him that size, it would be monstrous! But, that's literally impossible, and think they will re-release haslab kible giant, and i will be glad for second chance to buy haslab, or they will make new mould.
@@dark-user6 i doubt they'll do the haslab. They have been pretty firm about not doing second runs. Which i do think is silly. It'd likely be a new mold and smaller. Not to mention the next haslab has been stated to either be gigatron or primus. (My money is on giga)
I splurged on backing Haslab unicron since I figured I'd never get another shot at own something like that. Now he sits in his crate in the corner of my room; serving as a table. I have nowhere to put him. XD The only reason I don't sell him is I know I'll never get another shot at getting him back if I do, and there's still hope I might be able to make space to display him... someday...
I've been pushing for it/Wishing it into existence since 86 Slag was made. They should make a Haslab SS86 Unicron or better yet a "made to order" SS86 Unicron like Marvel Legends did with Dragon Man & 97 Sentinels And I agree, a G1 Unicron for the masses
A SS86 Unicron is way past overdue. BUT!! Reusing the old Micron Densetsu/Armada mold may not be the way to go, given the QC issues that Takara and Hasbruh have had over the last decade or so. (Ex.: Encore God Fire Convoy was such a shitstorm that allegedly, Takara dished out a recall...Hasbruh's Vintage Series G1 Devastator was said to be almost as fiddly a mess as KOs...) I don't trust them to pull out the Supreme class Unicron mold and _NOT_ screw it up. Though I can see a new Titan class mold...might as well expand the line to include that. (And extend Titan class to regular Studio Series, probably gonna need that for a PROPER Studio Series TLK Dragonstorm...)
I bought the third party Studio cell Unicron a few years ago in the animation colors and it's been a pride of my collection ever since just for its animation accuracy in robot mode and I'm not sure if I'd ever buy another Unicron but I am definitely still really curious what a studio series 86 Titan Unicron would look like.
2:49, Unicron Neo: You are right! My spirit is at absolute ZERO! The same level of coldness as the universe itself!! I will force your burning spirits FROZEN SOLID AS WELL! This thing is simple but straight to the point.
I have the amazon exclusive Unicron from years back. So I’d probably just stick with that. It would be cool to see what Hasbro would come up with though.
Yes that's what I've always wanted also. A k.o oversized studio cell. I would happily pay £600 for it to be as big as the haslab. The robot mode is way better than haslab
I've been saying since they released the Arcee prototype images for SS86 that they might be pushing to make Unicron. I've been wanting him since I first learned about him in the early 2000's, even if it is absolutely ridiculous looking, it's a part of history. I still think the ReAction release version of the prototype Unicron is a teaser for what might come. It doesn't transform, but it's the only Transformer figure in the entire ReAction figure line that doesn't match up with its movie/show counterpart. They specifically went for the prototype toy rather than a miniature show accurate design, that just seems odd. I might be reading too much into it, but it's what I noticed. I also just learned that they have a figure based on the second (green) prototype. Very interesting if you ask me.
Im definitely up for a SS86 Unicron in the near future as im sure I’ve heard a rumour that one of the Hasbro designers have said that they’re gonna have the SS86 line finished up by 2026 and Soundwave is their top priority
Personally I would go for an Armada Unicron Reissue since I had that as a kid and lost pieces, but it isn't suitable for an SS86 shelf. I'd prefer a new mold that doesn't have a backpack, has minimal translucent plastic, good ratchets to stand up, a transformation more akin to Cell where the limbs open up to make the planet shape and compress to make the robot, and a stand for the planet mode. The stand would be the most important piece to figuring out how SS86 Unicron will work (especially price-wise) since the planet can't sit by itself and would probably roll off of surfaces. Those are just my thoughts, thank you for the discussion Ed!
If an 86 Unicron is ever released, Transformers fans will just complain about that too. There are several generations of Transformers fans. Never gonna please the fan base on such a polarized character, like Unicron.
I repainted that Armada Unicron into G1 colors years ago. I also have the Haslab Unicron. I think it would be cool to have a Titan Class SS Unicron too.
Too scared to repaint mine! I don’t want repaint remorse 😄 Glad I grabbed that Armada Unicron years ago though. Other than the knee joints he’s aged pretty well.
I have the Studio Cell version....looks nice but ne er transformed it due to its complications. If Hasbro makes an 86 version, hopefully they can make it more fun to transform.
I understand you’re focusing on the “official” Unicron releases, but I (subjectively) have the current best in market design, the 01 Studio Cell as my 1 x Unicron. I rate it a 9/10 because transformation could be a fraction easier with the connections (nit picking) & it’s not big enough, aka HUGE. Given the different colourations they have since produced, I would love to see an upscaled version - twice the size - that would definitely make me part with my cash. That being said, if Hasbro make a Studio Series 86 version, learning from the Haslab mistakes, I’d be onboard.
Great discussion video! I would like a new version of Unicron to be released. Hasbro could down scale the Haslab version. However, I would like a new mold.

I lucked out when they put it back up for sale. as cool as it is to have a rare item, I'm always looking at figures i wish i bought that are way too expensive. I'm for new versions or rereleases and getting everyone what they want.
On the subject of giant characters, I have an idea and wandering what you think? Giant characters but in Deluxe Class or Core class size. Why? Because why not. If we can get core combiners, why not core titans? I'm buying one titan and I'm scared to get more because they're so huge I cannot make space for multiple so I think it's a good alternative for those who want giant characters but either cannot afford them or fit them. If people want scale, that's whaf they aim at Titans for. But for those like myself who don't care and just want the character, I'd like that. I've always wanted a Primus and Unicron small and then just use green screen trickery to make them look giant in stop motion stuff but we don't have tiny titans. So yeah what u think? Even if you don't like the idea, I'm opening to listening
Technically they did that with Arms Micron Unicron. Basically he was sculpted to look as if you are looking at him from the ground. Yes Hasbro could do something like that, and I believe it would sell. However someone will complain they are too small. Solid idea imo!!!
In the style of Studio Cell or better at titan class, otherwise it'll be a pass, an extra hard pass if it's anything involving the Cybertron Triogy Unicron.
Why argue for a rerelease of an older crappier version of Unicron? Studio Series deserves a new Unicron sculpt. Why as a Hasbro fan should you settle for anything less?
Because we know Hasbro...that's why. They don't have money. Shoot they reissued the exact same TR Fort Max and people busted a nut. Also Armada Unicron is up there. So if they make one cool, but the video actually wasn't them reissuing the first, and the video shows all the other variations made. So I think I was clear. They could reissues or retool the old one, or make a new one. That's all.
We will never get a SS unicron from Hasbro they are going to stop making toys very soon but I think down the line we will from another company after Hasbro sell it's properties.
Ok. Unless you're Hasbro you have no way to know what they may or may not do. Yeah ok Studio Cell but for those that don't want one....this video is for them.
