@@dave89891 this one, also their video on restoring the hallucis brevis muscle. They don't have too many videos so I recommend just going through their catalog.
This has been so helpful. I have banana hallux on just one of my toes. But neither would do the short extension on their own. Rather than use the flex bands (I injured my toe that way), I discovered that if I do the exercise with Correct Toes on, then the bending of my other toes, causes part of the Correct Toes to instruct the big toe to bend. After I practice with Correct Toes on, I can then take them off and do the exercises. Hopefully, at some point, I can start off doing them without Correct Toes. At any rate, I wanted to share as to how helpful they are in term of my brain making the connect that I can perform the short extension.
perfect explanation. thank you so much. I now understand exactly what is wrong with my foot now after a lapidus bunionectomy where my great toe is now shorter and hallucis breves muscles gone, hence developing odd gait and plantar fasciitis.
My great admiring to your video! You achieve to show a comlicate structure how it works .. simple and effective.! My only hope if all theses can be shown lighter..? In some few spots?? Thank you again!!
This is a great video both from the scientific perspective and the quality of the presentation. It helps dispel many myths about toe spreading (too much/ too little), and the appropriate use of orthotics.
Wow! This explains so much! Suffered with knee pain/Tracking issues and I’m starting to learn that as I work my muscles of the foot it’s affecting my body all the way up. I can’t even do this with my toe
How. How . How? I love all the science. But how do we help these muscles strengthen so we don't need to put something fake under the arch. Showing what exercises are needed to achieve this would have really made this video great.
Hi, any advice on... i have a problem dorsiflexsion of my foot after (football) in england where im from. Soccer in USA. my dorsiflexsion in my kicking foot straight after becomes limited and raising my big toe seems difficult. Thanks
Im a physiotherapist with 2yrs experience, i have an interest in lower limb biomechanics, what degrees have u guys studies. im seriously considering further my career in this area but dont know what to study.
at about 2:14 where you finish drawing your line... on my foot that muscle there is quite... large - what would have caused this - or is this a 'flat foot'?
TheGaitGuys very interesting. youre one of the very few orthotics detractors. i see how lifting the toes help raise the arch, but what can i do to strengthen the arch itself please? thanks
+PurCitron there are a few exercises look up short foot posture, heel raises are good for helping with big toe alignment, i would recommend Correct toes as they not only align your toes into the correct position but are also wearable in day to day activities, research hallixus brevis exercises. one of the most important things to aim for is control of individual movements, another is balance, so if you can balance in bare feet on one leg this will use the muscles in your feet to avoid pronation and build intrinsic muscle strength
Can't believe I haven't seen this before. This is gold. Thanks, Shawn!
You are heroes. I had flat feet my whole life. With your videos, I fixed my arches completely.
Which videos did you use to help correct your arches?

Hi do you think that the Arch un feet cause inflamation of the big toe
That was very enlightening and has explained a few things to me about what I have seen, thanks for that.
Oh my! I'm nearly completely lacking the motor control for the movement @9:36! How do I get that?

Excellent Video! Do you have a few video's regarding strengthening exercises for the muscles of your foot.
I get now why my arch hurts all the time, it's really weak ! Could you give us a link to the dvd/download for foot restorative exercice ?
Do you plan on releasing any videos or other material containing exercises related to what you're describing here?

I have no idea, not without seeing you to clinically examine you.
Amazing! Thank you
Thank you
Would the correct toes devices help to strengthen the abductor halucis and help splay the toes and straighten the big toe?
@TheGaitGuys how would I go about seeing you for an examination?? Thank you!
