    I bought the Redmi Pad Pro 5G 8+256GB for Hong Kong Dollar 2699.
    (About USD 346 ).
    Compared with iPad and Samsung Pad, this pad is very cheap.
    The quality is good and worth buying for watching TH-cam and Web browsing.

      You cant go wrong with samsung tab or ipad, you just need to pay more. Apparently xiaomi pad 6 is better than this redmi pro since it is cheaper nowadays but offer similar performance. The problem is its software support is only up to 2026(thats what i've read anyway), remdi is a newer device. In comparison, ipad software support last a decade. Ipad 6 is being supported to this day.

    Such a shame that many of these budget tablets only offer Bluetooth keyboard cases instead of using pogo pins. And the fact that it lacks any sort of Desktop Mode for a big screen is such a waste...

They can still offer good choices of accessories and software but keep the price low by keeping the specs such as the RAM, storage, screen and processor mid-range 🤷🤷 If Samsung can offer their budget tablets such as the A9 series with DEX Mode and 4GB of RAM only, there's no excuse for other manufacturers not to do so.

    • @Unan1mouz
      @Unan1mouz 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@terry4527 We all have different wants. I want some sort of Desktop Mode for my large tablet to actually get work done. I didn't say I favor 4GB RAM, I was saying even Samsung's tablet with that amount of RAM offers DEX Mode. So large tablets with 8GB RAM or more shouldn't have any excuses not to have their own Desktop Mode...

  • @Jack_Sparrow131

    There are 2 versions.. 1 of them are ok.. and the other is better
    Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro: 6/128GB or 8/256GB, which doesn't have charger in the box, for $250
    Poco Pad: 8/256 option only, comes with 33w charger in the box, also perform better by 5% (less throttle & heat) for $300
    Personally, I gone with Poco pad since it's already have fast charger, but it's depends on your country
    It's funny how 2 exactly the same Hardware & the same Software (Android 14, Hyper OS) can have different performance & heat.. I guess optemzations is the key really
    My theory is Redmi Pad Pro have CPU at stock, which lead to throttle at full 100% load
    While Poco Pad is slightly Undervolt CPU, which lead to slightly less heat (less heat = higher frequency boost)
    Poco have 5% more performance, nothing major, but I'll never pick Redmi Pad Pro while Poco Pad option is there, especially with 33w included charger

    • @NoName-ds8yz
      @NoName-ds8yz 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      uff never knew such difference existed. Its supposed to release in my country tmrw but its the 8/256, 5G varient redmi pad pro. But it comes with a charger in the box for ~360 USD. Would you say its best in the price range? or should I wait for the poco pad 8/128 wifi variant?

    • @Jack_Sparrow131
      @Jack_Sparrow131 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @NoName-ds8yz As far as I know, Redmi Pad Pro comes in 6 - 128G / 8 128G / 8 - 256G
      The 5G version is exclusive for Redmi Pad Pro.. and it doesnt have charger, also costs more
      Poco Pad only comes with 8 - 256G with included 33w charger, but no 5G model
      Also, Poco is slightly cheaper at least compared to 8 -256G model from Redmi, but some regions have prices difference
      I bought Poco Pad for $200-ish from Ali Express (was $270) but with Promo & discounts, it was around $200+
      So far so good, it's one of best med tier tablets in 2024, especially if you get it for less than $300

    I own this tablet for quite a while and I must say, it's not all that bad, it's probably one of the best if not the best budget tablet, BUT the display is incredibly glossy and software quality is kinda meh at best.
    If the new Pixel tablet will be any good, I will give Xiaomi to my parents to play with. It is certainly good, but I am far from amazed by it.

      I also have Samsung tab A9+ which is better in terms of OS, everything else is meh, especially thee screen viewing angles are horrible, also washed out thanks to it's super trash TFT screen (Xiaomy at least used IPS screen) which is night & day different side by side

      I have both A9+ 8/128GB version, and Poco Pad 8/256GB version
      A9+ have better OS & slightly lighter weight, that's it.. nothing more
      Poco Pad (Redme pad Pro): Better CPU & GPU, better IPS screen 120Hz with better viewing angles, higher resolution 1600 x 2560, with deep colors, bigger battery (10,000mah), faster 33w charge
      Poco Pad is very close to S9 FE Plus, A9+ is much lower in terms of hardware, U can call Poco Pad is S9 FE Plus (Xiaiomi version) Lol
      Am keeping one at my home, other in my work office, they both are good, A9+ is entry tablet, while Poco Pad is closer to mid-range
      But even while A9+ is entery tablet, it's have better OS, so yeah am keeping it & will see after 2 years which one of them will start to lag (none of them lag ATM) but only time will tell
