Sad I missed the stream, I did a lot of the development on Steppy. Killer vid, here's a couple tips/notes! When on the EDIT page changing a track setting, long press your value to apply it to all tracks Re: "Get out jail free" Reloading a preset would work, just quick save one, and then modify and load when you want to clean it up. long press on CLEAR in the select page will wipe the track and its settings. Ratcheting: Last value is Random ratchet amount. Copy and Paste Tracks, Pages, and Rachets. Hold down source and press the destination. You are right about sub Steps, Clock Divide and Ratchet. Loopy mode is momentary, your track keeps advancing as normal underneath. Will look into latching the loopy mode :) UI is tricky. You can use Loopy mode on pages that are past you last step, if you want to program fills into that unused space. Thanks for exploring it!
Great stuff. Thanks so much for this reply! Its a great module and I hope I was able to explain enough accurately. I'd only had the module a short while and had to do this video before I got into a big mix session and lots of people were asking questions. Momentary ratcheting would be cool too - i.e. hold down a button to ratchet the track or (long hold) for all tracks :) Going to play more with this today :)
As I understand it (I have no 1U modules), Intellijel's 1U is a bit different than everyone else's 1U. I believe Intellijel claims theirs is a more accurate interpretation of the standard and has something to do with rails with lips vs. those without.
That's it. If you include the Intellijel tile size + lipped rails on both sides, you'll get exactly 1U. The other companies designed for rails without lips, so their tiles are larger.
@@matthsmatthsmatths - mine 1U is a custom made case by MDLR case in The Netherlands. You mentioned the octalink and multiple, they are great to (combine the Octalink with the Deopfer A-180-9 Multicore module (works perfectly) & have the Zeroscope a great tool when playing live and tune my VCO's. Yip happy with all off them. After I watched your video I solved (work around) a reset problem.... Cheers, Jurgen aka SONICrider
Swing goes from no swing to unusable real fast...hmmm. was really hoping there would be a smooth way to dial in swing like 55% - 65% (being the usable range for techno and house)
I don’t think anyone is going to do a better presentation than that. Great job!
Still using it too!

This was super helpful. Much thanks!
youre welcome! Check out the rest of them!
nice session, made me buy a Steppy 1u - looking forward to more of your appearances on SonicTalk :-)
Nice one! Hope you are getting on well with it!

Ah this makes sense - thanks for this. I wasn't sure on this, as noted in the vid, so thats really great to clear that up! :)

Hi Matt missed you live but top stream ...
Thanks buddy! Join us next time :)
i well thanks matt as long i can get in my studio at the same time LOL
Great walk through - have mine for a while now and didn't got into all options... Thanks. BTW: mine fits well into a 1U rails?
Glad it was useful! I think we may have different sized 1U - Intellijel is different to others :)

@@SONICrider awesome ! Glad to hear the Octalink works with the Deopfer A-180-9 Multicore module - cheers for letting me know.
Do you know how to make the green led appears again when it triggerd
Sorry Raoul, I don't have it with me right now. Will check when I can!
Great tutorial thank you.
You're welcome Mark
Great vid, thanks. Just to clarify, can you alter the gate length of individual steps or is it global?
How do you have intellijel and other brand 1U modules in the same case, the size spec being different?
They all fit but the Intellijel 1U is slightly smaller so I can only screw one set of the screws in properly. Still fine :-)

The swing values match the ratios on the early MPCs. Here they are rounded: 50, 54, 58, 62, 66, 70, 75, 78* (*last value not on MPC)
hi Matth
Hi :-)
