Thank you for the video. It took me a few hundred dollar bills to execute steps from video timestamps 5:47 to about 7:00 but when I got the handle on inverted folds it came very close to your demonstration.

Sorry, I don't know how to describe it in a better way with words, than I showed it in the video. Maybe watching it multiple times and in slow motion would help you? You can change the speed of the video with the TH-cam player.
It takes a lot of practice. One thing I found that proper folding is key. Otherwise the final origami will fail due to geometry errors introduced earlier.

I thought I was doing really well, until I got about 6:15 into it...then the one on the video had flaps and pockets in places mine did not.
TIP TO THE VIDEO MAKER
It would be helpful to viewers (at least for me personally) if you showed where the open edge is more often around the 2-3minute section...also would have helped me to know how many layers to peel away and fold opposite of one another to form the little pockets around 4minutes. I'd assume two layers on each side but one of my pockets had a 5th layer from the beginning fold of the very end of the dollar...and I didn't know which way to take that extra layer. I'm pretty sure that was why I had different openings at the point I gave up at...

Yep. Me too! The last 2 minutes I had to pause the video quite a lot before I finally got the hang of it. It was worth it; when done reasonably right the rose origami looks great!!

No, I just cut out a useless part of the video, in which I looked on the camera screen if it still records.
After following for 6 mins correctly at approximately 6:10 is when the folds stopped working 🤬

I disagree. The video was good. There was enough info coupled with pausing to do it right. The issues I had where the last few folds. Once I got past it it comes out perfect or very close to it. I know how to do a few dozen origami dollar bill things so most of this video was familiar to me. It also helps if you know the geometry attempted. this knowledge helped me recover from previous folding errors.
This was not a “waist” of time. This video was very helpful :)
