    I teach auto repair at a college and bought 10 of these to see how they work. Students are BRUTAL when handling these and yet they still go strong after a year of everyday (ab)use. Before this we had the NOCO ones but the casing would break, clamps would break, and they eventually become NOGO’s (donated them to another program lol). If you want a stout jump pack that can take a beating this is the one.

    I totally appreciate that you have''nt 'sold out' to manufacturers but Hulkman owes you big time for this video. I was just about to curse this device a thousand times but then you showed us the override function. Completely dead battery in highway patrol Mustang 5.0. Immediate startup.. Lifesaver.

      Glad it saved your bacon! Since having to leave that dude stranded in the southern Utah desert because his battery was totally flat, I've always carried jumper cables too. Override finally gives me the confidence to leave the cables at home.

    The over 6 months claim is accurate. I bought one almost a year ago and when I checked it every few months .. the charge was still hovering at 100% .. it took around 8 months for it to drop into 97% ! I do recharge it every 6 months now .. just for the sake of it .. but it does not even seem to need it. It is an awesome jump starter battery.

    Actually it thinks your battery is a dead short (zero voltage) so not to cause an explosion (safety feature) it will not dump the current going into a completely dead battery. However many good jump packs have an override to force it to dump power into a really dead battery. Hulkman actually has QUALITY GOOD lithium batteries in them. Long hold charge over months.

    When you hook up the clamps to the weak battery does the hulkman automatically turn itself on or do you have to turn the unit on first before you try to start your car?

    • @TRAILPOWER
      @TRAILPOWER 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Peg, As soon as you connect the cables, the unit automatically turns on and says READY. If the battery is really dead, and it doesn't detect minimal voltage, it will not turn on. At that point you press the two buttons together to override the safety system.

So I End Up Not Using & Got Rid Of It..So My Question Is, Will This Jumper Pack Able To

    why would you rate it over the noco gb 70??

    • @TRAILPOWER
      @TRAILPOWER 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't believe the Noco has a pre-heat feature that warms a frozen lithium battery so it can dump it's full amperage into the starter. That's a big deal for me. There's nothing more disappointing than climbing in a frozen truck with a dead battery, except a jump pack that won't operate because it's also frozen.

      You can buy 2 or 3 batteries for your car for the price of one of these, but that's not the point. A jump pack will seem like a bargain when you find yourself with a dead battery, late at night in a dark parking lot.
