🌲I can't tell you how many pieces of pre-cut tape I find stuck on the edge of my dinning table, in JUNE! I love the tradition of crackers. I've found them for many holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving and I believe Easter; usually in the Caspari area at Freshmarket. Thank you for your delightful videos!
I actually bought some crackers for Easter. Thank goodness for Caspari. And yes, some pieces of pre-cut tape just live on the side of my kitchen island. 😁
Thank you for your wonderful Christmas video, I so loved the great instructions for making the Christmas Crackers... I love the idea of making a gift this way so much fun for the receiver... Also I love Southern Living and I have many of their Christmas Books, I had not seen 2022 yet... I greatly appreciate the review you did on this book and look forward to many more that you do... May the blessings of this glorious season be with you and your family....
Loving this new Christmas series. It's so beautiful. I think I might be enjoying you sharing your Christmas traditions even more than the gorgeous books! Christmas crackers are not something my American family has ever done but they are pretty popular in Canada where I live now. I picked up some Tom Smith Christmas crackers last week not realizing that they are the original! How fun! I am so excited to introduce my family to the tradition this year. I picked ones with party games inside which I think will be a lot more fun than the little trinkets you normally see inside. I certainly wouldn't turn down what is inside your niece's Christmas cracker though! Such a lovely surprise! ❤️
How cool is that! I have never been able to find the Tom Smith Crackers. The crowns that are placed inside his crackers are said to represent the crowns that the "wise men" bearing gifts for Jesus wore. Thanks for your comment!
Lovely cracker instruction! Like always motivate us to do some for the holiday simple and pretty.. The book is Christmas best! Thank you, for sharing ..the best of the best..
I love Southern Living from NY. Always gracious and lovely. I foraged some greens and berries to start. I keep it very simple and bring out what I have. 🎄

@@thetartantopiary well, I’ve been to Asheville and the foothills of the Smokies, I’ve been to Charleston many times and Savannah, but haven’t been back to the mountains in about 10 years or so. Unfortunately, my father passed away at a young age, and I have not seen my relatives in a while, but we do keep in touch. My maiden name is Franklin.

I did the same and also a few pine cones. I was shocked at the beauty they provide when placed in a silver mint julep cup or crystal vase.
