Dustin Penner it looks like really nice👍 you make nice videos. I'm a liddle TH-camr of steel working and my videos are not so good. What can I do that my videos are famer than now?
Awesome result! And man that's a great trick to use a paper divider so you could separate the pieces after you turned them to identical size--and the piece of tape as an index mark was clever too!
Dustin, fantastic work as always. I loved the build, but I ESPECIALLY loved the editing on the video. I thought the paper in between the layers looked really neat, makes me want to try it on some segmented pieces for a super thin crisp high contrast line. maybe find some way to make the paper zig-zag up a pen or something. Keep up the fantastic work!
Wow. Just, wow. If I weren't so prideful, I would articulate my veneration for not only your skill as a carpenter and woodworker, but the creativity and humor you put into these videos as well. But I am prideful, so I'll keep my thoughts to myself.
With the top of the stand, is this a flat piece of wood around the obvious curve or is it slightly curved so the headphones tend to sit into the holder?
Great stuff Dustin, you had me hooked when you introduced the paper, I had to see what it was for. Love the drawer pull. What do you keep in the drawer now?
If I end up copying some of your style of videos, take it as a compliment! I love the style you did in this video. Especially the music transition. Well done sir, and I like the stand too :P
Dustin Penner always bro.. been watching your channel for a while man and you do some really cool stuff and great work it might not comment on every video but I watch every video
can I also make this even if I have absolutly 0 experience with stuff like this? I want to start a hobby with woodcrafting so I just want to know if this is for experienced craftsman or not
Yes! roughly 1/16" pieces to make up the lost material from the cut and sanding. I would have shown it in the video, but I was running out of song towards the end. Thanks Art!
Amazing video! When you said the headphone stand had storage I wasn't sure if it meant PC storage, like a hard drive, haha. I spend too much time on the computer.
A very groovy build and video!
Thank you John!
Like, comment, share! The reason every TH-camr asks you to do that is because it really does help us! Thank you so much!
Why did he glue paper in the middle of it?
So i could bust it apart easily.
Check, check, & check! My head is spinning like your lathe, so amazing.

Loved how you made the ambient sound louder when you took your earmuffs off, it was a really nice touch!
haha! thanks! I was on the fence about how loud to go. I didnt want to blow anyone's ear drums out!
Great project and cool editing! Love the contrast in wood and the copper accents. Really nice build!
I love the combination of split turning technique using the paper with the bandsaw box type drawer. Very nicely done.
Thanks Mike!
That is one of the smartest looking headphone stands I have seen. Nice build. Thanks.
Thanks!
I've made this stand twice now, and it is a lot harder than he makes it look - great job , this stand is a great item
Awesome result! And man that's a great trick to use a paper divider so you could separate the pieces after you turned them to identical size--and the piece of tape as an index mark was clever too!
And I forgot to mention, terrific music as well!

I am in complete awe of your incredible talent with not only the craftsmanship but your creativity and video skills!!!
pffff you have to say that! Thanks!
😉😊
Damn Dustin! Best Headphone Stand I've seen so far! Great Job!
impressed with this build, Dustin. I love the design. great job dude.
Thanks Sean!
Very stylish, I love it. I was thinking you were going to run the charger up the tube. Probably for the best that you didn't.
Very Nice build! The bandsaw box on the bottom is a great idea!
That was a really cool project, Dustin! You've really take to that lathe. And I really enjoyed the design of this piece. Good stuff.
Wow. Just, wow. If I weren't so prideful, I would articulate my veneration for not only your skill as a carpenter and woodworker, but the creativity and humor you put into these videos as well. But I am prideful, so I'll keep my thoughts to myself.
It's for the best! Thanks David
The video is great! The little details with the audio coming in and out with the different headphones was a great touch.
Thank you!
Great job on both project and editing.
The headphone muffling and unmuffling was perfect
Thank you!
Dude thought it was cool and then you got to the end and did the drawer knob - that is awesome. Totally completed the look. I love this project.
Thanks Chris! I love coming up with DIY knobs!
I am a high school Industrial Arts Teacher. One of my students saw this and is now making his own.
All the best
nice use of metal and wood. I like the paper idea. Good Job sir
Dustin nice build love the handmade pull n post. The handle turned out awesome. The entire video/build was good. Always enjoy your vids a lot!
Thanks Joe!
I love it! The copper looks great as well
Fantastic! Love the drawer pull.
Thanks Bruce!
Awesome build and cool music.
Wow - really nice end product!!
Love the Suede Flock usage
That stuff gives it a pro look!
This is got to be the coolest project I have ever seen, great job
Thank you! I appreciate that!
With the top of the stand, is this a flat piece of wood around the obvious curve or is it slightly curved so the headphones tend to sit into the holder?
That's an awesome project and it looks awesome. Thanks Dustin!
So sick! I don't think I've ever seen a turned bandsaw box (though that almost doesn't give this enough credit). Awesome work!
Thanks! I dont think I recall seeing one either now that I think about it. Maybe a first?? I doubt it.
A really well done video and headphone stand.
The music is really good, thanks for that.
Cheers
This a very nice project, best bandsaw box project ever!
Thanks!
great videos.makes me want to head down to my tool room.
Very cool, great work man!
Thanks Carl! I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of the lathe!
Love your paper trick, very smart :)
thanks!
Nice build. Great video and music, fit perfectly with the subject matter!!!
Thanks!
Awesome work Dustin! Great quality video too!
yissss. so good dustin. 3 amazing things combined.. wood, metal, and audio. a++. would watch again. :D
Thank you Seth!
I was half expecting a secret compartment! Very nice as always!
You're not the only one! I was tempted, but the bandsaw box is bad way to keep secrets. The cuts aren't clean enough from a bandsaw.
Awesome build!!!
Sweet project Dustin, sending respect from Whitecourt Alberta!
Great stuff Dustin, you had me hooked when you introduced the paper, I had to see what it was for. Love the drawer pull. What do you keep in the drawer now?
Thanks Ben! I wanted a spot to keep all the cables for charging and corded listening. These headphones came with a whole mess of accessories!
Incredible!! This is why you are one of my favorite makers!!
Thank you!
If I end up copying some of your style of videos, take it as a compliment! I love the style you did in this video. Especially the music transition. Well done sir, and I like the stand too :P
I welcome it! Thanks!

Inspirational in a way ... I want to do something cool right now too ... many things to fill the house with ... hmm
I'd like to try making a pull like that. Very nice work.
Interesting process as always (and nice result)!
Thanks!
this is beautiful dude!
great pull
I'm really diggin this. Love the soundtrack and execution. You really flocked it up😉! Are you doing this full time now?
Thanks! I wish I could do this full time. I'd need TH-cam to give me a raise to be able to do it at this point haha! Someday...
You are really bustin them out recently. Keep it up!
can I also make this even if I have absolutly 0 experience with stuff like this? I want to start a hobby with woodcrafting so I just want to know if this is for experienced craftsman or not
I've been using the lathe for just a couple months. Only one way to learn... start doing it!
That's beautiful, love your videos.
Awesome, I would definetly build this if it would be suitable with my setup...
Once again I am inspired. Your videos are awesome and I'm glad I found your channel
Thank you!
Usualy i dont flatter but man you did great job! Great video montage skills, and great wood work skills! You have new subscriber, i even clicked bell!
I appreciate that very much! Thank you!
couple of questions...
Where'd you learn that paper trick? And why did you spray acetone on the drawer?
great video and great work!
Scott Moore thanks. I don't know where I learned that trick and that's not acetone, it's CA glue accelerator.
Beats the hell out of the 16d nail I've got driven into one of my shop cabinets. ;) Nice headphone rest man.
I bet your nail is just as efficient ?
Shit... that would have been a time saver! Thanks Adam!
I couldn't tell from the vid. How did you prevent the pipe from crimping when you bent it?
It's got a pretty good buckle in it. I just went slowly and constantly hammered the crimp out.
I have pictures on my website.
I don't have anything important to say. I'll state the obvious: wonderful build! :D
Thanks!
loved the editing... was wondering where the music was :)
haha! Thanks!
Another great piece.
Very cool project
Amanzing project!! Very nice vídeo! ! Congratulation!!
Sweeeet build. Are the little blocks I see @3:12 to help the drawer fit?
Yes! roughly 1/16" pieces to make up the lost material from the cut and sanding. I would have shown it in the video, but I was running out of song towards the end. Thanks Art!
Another cool video. Nice job!
nicely done and well edited too :D
I do my best! Thanks!
Beautiful 👍🏽
love it great tunes as wall. good job
excellent content as always, thanks for sharing
Who are these people that dislike this video? It looks awsome!
Who knows! Thank you!
Amazing video! When you said the headphone stand had storage I wasn't sure if it meant PC storage, like a hard drive, haha. I spend too much time on the computer.
Great video man
Thanks!
Youre good at What you do 👌
Thanks very much!
That copper drawer pull tied the whole thing together.
100% agree! Thanks!
Gorgeous!!!
Awesome video!
Thanks! If I get my hands on some of your in ear headphones, I'd come up with something cool for them too lol!
Serious Skills!
Definite Subscribe
