I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. My husband passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago and I know that those "bewitching hours" can be difficult to relax into. That was the time of day I spent most with my husband - dinner and relaxing together after work. Now, I feel anxiety creeping up as dinner approaches until I fall asleep. I think having a happy place of distraction is always beneficial and I'm glad you found something that worked to help soothe you. Watching your videos is often a place I turn to help calm my own anxiety down. :)
Omg 😂 when you said in the beginning that the goat was named Walter, I busted a gut 😂😂 my husband's name is Walter and I thought yeah, we'll, it fits! Then at the end with Walter Jr...... my husband actually is a Walter Jr!!! I also added the washi to my cart from your link so they'll know you sent me 😊 and I'm stealing the quote from Walter's page because that's epic.
thank you so much for sharing this! I really want to give it a try, I think it will help me! I suffer from depression, PTSD, and other mental health and health issues, but anxiety is the biggest one, especially, as you said, from dinnertime to bedtime. I live alone too and it's so hard after 5pm. I used to make "junk journals" about 10 years ago, but then I never used them because they were too pretty. This is a good compromise. I still have a ton of scrapbook paper, and plenty of pictures and odds and ends to fill it, but it's going to take me awhile to afford the other stuff I'd like to have for it...the rings and laminator and pages! What a beautiful idea though!
Hello , Have not got into the flip part yet but I have to comment. you keep saying it has no purpose but you are wrong. It brings you joy, keeps you busy, clams your mind. I'd say that's one hell of a purpose. Mental health is very important. I have a personal rings I carry around with me everywhere and it too is for my mental health. It helps me keep hands busy ( bad skin issues, so no poking and picking ) plus my mind. Man my mind can sure ruin a good day. Im glad you jumped in and said f it I'm doing this for me!!
I lost my parents in 2021 and then my husband had a huge health crisis the same year. I dealt with all of it at that time. My circle is dismissive of mental health issues. All of a sudden i wudbhave panic and anxiety attacks. I couldnt breathe several er trips later, i understood it was panic attack. I take homeopathic medicines. Even now I do get anxiety. At least I know what it is Hang in there Robin. Sending you prayers. I have also leaned on my hobby to heal.❤ Lovely share.
Robin, I’ve missed watching your videos bc I’ve been busy doing other things lately. First I want to say I’m sorry about your job losses. I’ve been through that several times and it gets a bit depressing after awhile. Secondly, you look good! Third, I didn’t realize your daughter got married! Congrats! I love that you made a rings that brings you joy! Nothing wrong with that!
Whether other people dismiss mental health issues or not, they are real. So glad you’ve found a “circle” that accepts it. I have learned that trauma is cumulative and everyone reacts differently- therapy helps me as well as journaling, sketching, planning, etc- Good luck and prayers
I'm making a planner fidget spinner for my 7 year old. She loves books & magazines and she wants my planner. I decided to make her a planner "bookazine" (her word) so she can flip her little heart out. 😊
I LOVE “adult fidget spinner “. We all need to find some peace. Thank you for all your honesty. I love finding your videos show up. I get my coffee and hang out with you.
We need more humans like you in this world. You do not drown in your feelings, you thrive with them. You allow yourself to feel them and use it as a sign to grow. Loved that this caught my eyes. Thank you. Keep moving.
First off, you look radiant! Secondly, love your shirt, I need it! Third, everything happens for a reason, you may have been let go from your job so you’re not tempted by the treats in the office. I know you’ll find something you love. Great video
I love your scrapbooking/quote book! ❤ My brain is constantly going and memory keeping is my way to create and relax! I also do a lot of lists to brain dump! Great job for finding all these inspirations during tough times! 🥰
I'm a new subscriber. Love to listen to your story's and giggles. You come to me as a lovely person, well loved by your surounding. I think you desirve this by just being you😉
Adult fidget spinner - luv it!!! Been in a planner rut myself and with all of my medical stuff going on - this will help turn my brain off…gonna set up my adult fidget spinner and keep my EDC.
I want to thank you for your video. I love your laugh. I also love the Hobonichi paper. I just purchased a personal planer for several reasons. I’m praying for you.
Yes! Adult fidget spinner. Love that! I also have picked at my cuticles and hang nails since I was a child. Sometimes I would make them so sore that I had to put bandaids on them. I think the reason that some many of us love you is because you are so real! You are like a friend that comes to visit every week and we have great conversations about life and planning. I wish nothing but the best for you in the new chapter of your life for which the page has not turned yet!
I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling with your job. I hope you find something you enjoy. We've had so much organizational change where I work and I think I have an ulcer because of it. As for my planner, I decided to do a complete reset. I'm using a passport-sized horizontal weekly booklet from Sterling Ink paired with a passport sized grid notebook to do plain-jane daily notes pages. No stickers, no fancy layouts, just jot down what I need to do each day and then cross it off. It's helping me manage the chaos. I've committed to using these until I finish them.
You probably thought that you had to reset every month because lots of TH-camrs do…. I love Cocoa Daisy and it was overwhelming to me to reset each month… over time i realized that I need to plan in a slightly more structured planner and use those things in a way that works for me. I have a Sterling Ink B6, TN for work, and weeks… I’m still a work in process but they are working well for me at this time
You are the BEST! I would love to keep track with your adult fidget spinner! I feel as if I’m going through some feelings and just love watching you tackle things! Your amazing and inspirational
Catherine from Georgia Here! Thank you and Bless You Miss Robin. I have a Franklin Covey Compact I am going to turn into a * Just For Fun Book* like you suggest. I agree with the keep hands busy in the evenings is helpful. I started playing in a Junk Journal and it helped me drop 50pounds by not eating after supper. You might try to massage BACITRACIN w Zinc into cuticle/living skin area of your fingernails. Neosporin can cause allergic reactions. You may be allergic to GEL Nails? I like Anna on Salon Life for natural nail care information. I enjoy your Flip Thru programs very much and Thanks for all you do.
Use what you have, do what makes you happy… love your advice and I love listening to your videos. You are so inspirational to me. I recently started watching and I did not know about your husband. I’m truly very sorry. You sound like a very strong woman to me and I’m sure the job thing will work out. Yes keep sharing this no reason adult fidget spinner. I love it, especially that picture of copper. Crafty sister hugs to you
You have inspired me! I got a Happy Planner this year that I’m not enjoying as a planner and think would be great to just decorate and put fun things in 💜💜
I used to save my change, too. In 6 months, I turned my change in, because my daughter moved to Dallas TX. I had almost $400. That paid for my week long trip. 😊
Adult fidget spinner--yes. And if it your Therapy do you!! Watching your channel helps my anxiety and depression and ptsd. Thank you for sharing and being u!! ❤
This is such a great idea….just for fun and creativity. I have a lot of disc planner supplies I could do this with (so I didn’t have to spend money)… I have a lot of disc paper and supplies . Thanks for the great idea!
I can totally relate. I have high anxiety and bite the skin around my nails (or hang nails). I have a stuffed animal that I hug at night to help with my grief (loss of beloved pet cats recently) and anxiety.
Just to add something to think about - as you look around my age, I wanted to bring up that a sudden ramp up of anxiety can be part of perimenopause and menopause. As this is something I'm starting to study for my own benefit, it's amazing the number of symptoms besides hot flashes that can be linked to that change in life. I highly recommend any women in our age group look into and study everything involved with that process, it's eye opening.
I never put words to what I was doing. At night, I flip pages in my Cousin. I don't necessarily read what I have written but I look at the stickers and I love the feel of and sound that the tomoe river paper makes. I am using it like a fidget spinner!
Your planner should make you smile, and make you happy every time you open it. I looove all the pictures you have, and it is all about you. looove it! :)
I would love to see more of your fidget rings!! So fun. Thank you so much for sharing. I remember the first time watching Nessie flip her rings, i thought hey there is no real planning in there. I love it! Lol, just goodies 😊
Oh wow! My mom use to sing the I love you a bushel and a peck song to me and I sing it to my grands. She also use to sing one about 3 little fishies….and they swam and they swam all over the damn 😂. Always love your videos !!
Love this idea ... you have inspired me to haul out my rings. I deal with complex anxiety. And the whole adult fidget spinner is absolutely perfect. Hats off to you my dear, and Nessie. ❤
I LOVE THE "ADULT FIDGET SPINNER" IDEA! I have one and didn't realize it. I don't like chunky planners and journals, so I keep a travel notebook for ephemera and times I just want to "play" with stamps, stickers, and washi tape. I was a bit embarrassed by that because it seemed childish. So, thank you for legitimizing my play journal.
So nice to see the woman behind the voice !! What a fantastic idea. Like you, especially in the evening I attack my nails especially the surrounding skin, they will sometimes bleed and can be painful. I finally stopped biting my nails but I guess this habit replaced that 🤦♀️. Just turned 56 !! So frustrated with myself. Thank you so much for sharing this 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Happy Easter Robin all the way from Down Under 😃
Yes! Attack my skin around my nails and it looked like ground hamburger and I too am embarrassed. I have to learn to stop it! Thanks for your honesty. We can do this.
Take part or all of Olivia's letter and have it tattooed (in original handwriting), or you can have something else made with the original writing. I have seen them on plaques, jewelry or other like items. (memory is fading with age).. LOL
Loved the idea of this. I just started doing something similar, but yours is so much more fun. So, I'm going to get more 'fun' into mine now, after inspiration from you.❤
Hello Robin, Thank you so much for sharing this video. This is an excellent idea to just make one feel good throughout the day. It is like keeping a wellness kit in your purse. I cannot wait to add items to a beautiful, but empty personal rings notebook. Blessings, Debra
I’m 12 minutes into the video and I have to say that you and Nessie by proxy just inspired and encouraged me to do something I’ve been considering for weeks. Now I’m going to set up the decorative journal I’ve been wanting to. The whole ‘it has to have a purpose other than just a book of stickers and stuff’ has been stressing me out but I get it now. The fun and joy it brings IS the purpose! Ok, back to the video now. ❤❤
I’ve been having anxiety too. I think it might be going around . Thanks for the flip through, ad yes show more. I’m inspired to take down my PW and play with no pressure.
I love this discussion. I’m a brown, 46 year old woman that is one of the first in my family to seek mental health help for what was formally diagnosed as CPTSD. The things my family has “normalized” in terms of symptoms is all too real in many Latin homes, yet many struggle without considering that it’s more because of stigma . I love seeing this kind of open discussion about mental health because I’m positive most people struggle with some form of it at some point. The more we know what the symptoms look like, the more likely people will get much needed help for proper management.
LOVE, love this video!! My gosh, what a year, being resilient is exhausting! Life is such a journey, and your honestly and candor are comforting. Thank you so much for always being authentic. It reminds us that we are all NOT alone in our struggles. You know what though, Robin? You look and sound amazing!! Also, that little appearance of Cooper at the beginning, he is such a cutie!!
If it brings you joy then it serves a purpose. Thanks for sharing, given me an idea to set up a common place system in rings and can just fill it with useful info and things I love to look at xx
I love this! I've been hankering to put my Rings into use, but as I can't plan in Rings I didn't know what to do. This is the solution: It won't have a purpose - you are a genius! It's liberating to let go of the "have to".
I just made one of these myself I love rings but not as a planner I made a B6 as a scrapbook with all my favorite pics of me and my kids and my grand baby and all the things I love I also am making one for all my kids I got a few planners from print pression I’m making scrapbooks for my kids I’m also going to write to them in them so love this yes so true it helps with my mental issues big time
Thank you so much for sharing!! I fell into a rut with planning and my life was a mess! This is a great idea because I love rings but wasn’t into it anymore with my planning. Currently in discs for weeklies and finances, and A5 book bound monthly planner. I desperately want to use my rings. Also, maybe laminate your baby girls letter?? I love those moments from our kids and try to preserve them as well 🥰
I've been thinking of doing something like this with my extra Happy Planner pages but my ADHD (and lack of enough spoons) has kept putting it off. I'm so glad it's helping you!
Robin, its so nice to meet you. Thank you for opening up about your story. I believe everyone has a certain level of anxiety and their own ways of dealing with it. I can certainly hear the joy as you flip through your planner. Don’t think that you are not artistic, your planner is an expression of yourself which is the very root of what art is! You are a beautiful person and you will find sustainable work soon. I just left a job due to high anxiety. It is impossible to deal with anxiety when it keeps building. Now - you got me wanting to pull out my ring binder and crank the ol’ brain for ideas….shame on you! 😂. I may have to adopt your ideas and add my own touch. Thank you so much for sharing your life and your planner! God bless you. ❤🙏
I would photograph that message from your daughter ❤. I do not know Nessie, but I adore her and her channel, and would like to think that we would be friends in real life. Same with you Robin. I think it would be so much fun to meet you, Nessie, Heather from Planner Mumsy and Noelia from My Moxie Dreams…not in a creepy stalker way 😂, I just feel like I relate to all of you. I love your setup ❤. I too have zero need for rings, but I created a similar setup but with discs instead of rings. The deco I added makes me happy.
This is my first time seeing a video of your. I have a rings that I think is beautiful but it wasn’t jiving with me but I can’t part with it it’s so pretty and it was pricy.
Hello beautiful soul. I just love your channel and the messages you convey through your videos. I’m wondering if I could get some advice. I’m going through a similar situation you have been through. I’ve been in the Medical Field over 20 years and in Behavioral Health for 7. I counsel those fighting mental and behavioral health issues. The last three places of employment for me have all shut down their Behavioral Health department and I lost my job. I have now been through four jobs in the last two years. I feel so lost and exhausted at times and really start to go through it. How do you stay so positive and do you just keep looking for another place of employment until one finally sticks? How did you get yourself through this? Thank you for your time. I hope you are doing well 💜
Wow! Your situation sounds like it sucks. I’m down a lot but try to not show it too much on my channel. But I do have my down times. May I suggest you make a list of things that bring you joy and passion and maybe it’s time for a big change. I actually am planning another journal video about this type of thing. I’ll try to post it soon.
OMG I pretty much did the same thing! I am using Hobonichi weeks and Sterling Ink B6 for 2024, and I terribly missed my rings. I retired last year, so I didn’t see the point of using my rings. But I put a personal rings together anyway (with what I already have). It makes me so happy even though it doesn’t have a purpose. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who does this. BTW, love your videos!
Oh I’m so sorry. You’re at the beginning of it all and I think if we take command of our new reality it will get better. I wish you peace.
The purpose of your rings planner is just to make you smile.
That is awesome! Thanks and I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
I love this idea! I just had a conversation with my daughter last night about my anxiety and attitude about life. It’s like God sent you to me!,🥰
thank you so much for sharing this! I really want to give it a try, I think it will help me! Start with what you have on hand and maybe as you get going you won’t want

I love your adult fidget spinner. I want to see more flips of it. I can hear your smile. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I love your positive attitude…even when you are talking about your anxiety. I always appreciate that!
Thank you.
I lost my parents in 2021 and then my husband had a huge health crisis the same year. I dealt with all of it at that time. My circle is dismissive of mental health issues. I'm making a planner fidget spinner for my 7 year old. She loves books & magazines and she wants my planner. I decided to make her a planner "bookazine" (her word) so she can flip her little heart out. 😊
I was like that as a child. Not much has changed!

Adult fidget spinner ❤everything! Thanks for being open and sharing your life ❤
I am so glad to see that you cut some paper from H weeks, great ideas for unused pages

Love this, adult fidget spinner is a great name for it! I’d love to see more flips whenever you have changes or just feel like filming it 💜🫶🏻✨

Oh thank you. That was beautifully said. And me too! Pick til they bleed and then bandaids. It’s a horrid habit.
Yes this was beautifully said! I agree.

The letter your daughter wrote you... You stated it was fading. I'd laminate it so you will always have it to look at and not worry it will fade 😊
🥹♥️🫶🏻 Thank you for your kind words my friend! You are the best! This flip is awesome! Love it! 🥰
You are so welcome. I meant all I said!
Love this Robin! I really enjoy flip thrus too and now I’m inspired to dig out my neglected rings! 💜

Thanks for sharing your truth and ideas in planning. Enjoyed flip throughs. All the best 🙏🙃😌
It reminds me of an inspirational bulletin board but portable.
Good for you. The purpose is feeling good and happy.
Adult fidget spinner,love it
I absolutely LOVE this idea! I’m gonna make me an adult fidget spinner too!
Oh how I loved this and can’t wait to see more! Thanks for sharing and I will start creating my own fidget planner!!❤😊
Yay! Thank you!
Loved the idea of this. I just started doing something similar, but yours is so much more fun. So, I'm going to get more 'fun' into mine now, after inspiration from you.❤

Hello Robin,
Thank you so much for sharing this video. This is an excellent idea to just make one feel good throughout the day. It is like keeping a wellness kit in your purse. I cannot wait to add items to a beautiful, but empty personal rings notebook.
Blessings,
Debra
Great idea 💡 👍 👏
Your talks are very comforting
This is such a fun idea! Also love the flip through of your adult fidget spinner. So much fun stuff 😆
😊Thank you for sharing your life with us, and yes please continue with the flips. You are one of my favorite planner girls😊 God bless!
Thank you! Will do!
Thank you for being you and being real! I love watching your videos!
A lovely way to spend my early Saturday morning with you and coffee. Bless you.
Yes, please!
I love this video ❤ tfs your story. My planners help my anxiety so much.
I love how you said this! Thank you!

I am loving your videos! So glad I found your channel!
I'm so glad! And thx for watching!
Thank you! I agree!
Yes it is! Have fun with it!
You look so good!!!! Your new lifestyle agrees with you! Loved you rings story!
Thank you so much!
This 55 year old has been watching Nessie and the others for about a month and just set up an "adult fidget spinner" ! Love the name! It is so fun!!!
Already praying for your perfect job🌸
Thank you so much!
I have a cooper dog too, he’s a Cockador 😊

This is the best! I love the name too!
We love your tangents 😂😂… and yes to the future flips 💚.
This is FABULOUS!!!
5 minutes in and I just love this for you 🥰 (Minus the anxiety etc. of course 🫶🏻) TFS Robin 💗
Thank you for sharing this video Robin! Love you! 🥰
I love those moments from our kids and try to preserve them as well 🥰
love this video and I have a small rings but barely use it. so tempting to get a personal ... lol....
Just use the one you have and cut stuff to fit.! That’s what I suggest
@@talksfromtheheart yep, use my stuff, but the rings are so small....lol
I've been thinking of doing something like this with my extra Happy Planner pages but my ADHD (and lack of enough spoons) has kept putting it off. I'm so glad it's helping you!
I feel your "rings" does have a purpose. It's your therapy.
True!
I think this is a great idea! I think alot of people would do this also. I love that you're so real. I was laughing along with you.
I love this idea! Just joy, no “purpose”
Sometimes we get road bump to set us on a different path - a happier and more fulfilling one. And pray this bump will do just that.
I also love your adult fidget spinner! AFS❤ More, please.
Go for it! And copy me all you like. That’s why I share. Thanks for watching.
Robin, the dashboards you make are awesome! Loved the flip!
Love that you were able to use things you already had and loved. It’s so you 💜💜
I love this idea!
I love your laugh ❤❤❤❤ and of course, I'd love to see what you change.
