  • What a great sight for South African fans to see Marx gaining form at the right time. He has bees dominating in Japan and just in time for the World Cup. Springbok fans know how valuable he is to our squad, and we need him to be at his best. His attack has been amazing and he has had a couple of storming runs in Japan for Kubota Spears, he's been a try scoring machine over there. His defence is excellent as always, where he makes big hits and creates turnover, just like he does with the boks. It's just great to see the Springbok players finding form at the right time, we're going to need for our World Cup defence.

It's funny, but I've always found when you play games against weaker opponents you tend to get the ability to practice the creativity and flair that you wouldn't get to do against stronger opponents, which then in turn means it becomes that little more natural. Risk is you lose touch with how much pressure better opponents create and get levelled when you try something silly...
Likely not something that would happen to Marx...

He proved himself against the best in the 2019 WC and the last rugby Championship. Japan is basically a rehab for him after his long injury lay-off - he appears to be playing at about 75% of his usual intensity.

Totally disagree. Japan is a waste for Springboks. They should be playing in a better comp. Imagine if we could have Frans, Marx and Kitsie at the Stormers (I get that he is in Japan for $$$) playing URC and Euro Cup.
