Now that its not April 1st anymore I can put down the obvious facade , yes this is an april fool's joke .
This project started with some joke sketch of a jock Ziogre because of its model change in Iceborne . I always had the idea of a MH dating game but doing some drawings just motivated more to do it , but considering the scope of a project such as a game , it would just never happen .
Then came the realisation April 1st was approaching and I needed to find something to do about it and it was the perfect occasion to make something of the idea .
I sketched many character ideas (including non romancable npcs) and ended up having too choose because of time and settled on the ones we have here . For some reason there is a lot of water monsters . I also had to make sure to keep the gender ratio equal (plesioth is a last minute addition and somehow the best) because I value everyone having a decent range of options (and as a bi guy I like when I have more than 1 romancable guy) .
A prominant kind of character were characters already in reltionship such as a rath couples being the role model of sorts , a tired old diablos director guy and his black diablos wife , a deviljho qurupeco couple and narwa and ibushi with some sort of murder mystery to give a weird ending ( a bit like how hatoful boyfriend has a weird creepy ending) .
I had the plan to make something actually playable and release it on Itchio with ren'py but I started working on this project a bit too late to learn the program and I'm also not an good written in any way shape or form so it wouldnt be worth it anyway . Instead I did everythin on my editing softwares when it comes to text and all the visual where made with GIMP (fuck adobe) .
I never worked on an actual game so I lack the skill (and the time) to make this project (especially one of this scope) a reality but if some madlads actually feel like doing an actual monster hunter dating sim , I would be happy to participate in the character art department lol .
Anyway back to work on Basically Super Apex Rathalos (aiming for late April release) .

that's a really cool idea though, would you allow someone to pick up the mantle, and maybe provide the Resorces (sprites, background, etc) to turn that dream into reality?

Funny story: I was a part of a team back during MonHun4U's haydays working on a dating sim for that. We had Nerscylla, Najarala, Zamtrios, Dalamadur, and Gogmazio pretty much fleshed out, but the entire project fell through. I was in charge of the Nerssy storyline, which later got adopted to be Scarlette in my horror series.
@Leandro brando I'm a bit confused by your question. If you are asking what the contents of the Nerssy route were, it was essentially what it became with Scarlette but nowhere near as horrific: Shy girl that hides her true self. Over time, she opens up, becomes more attached, grows jealous of the others as they try to muscle in. At the penultimate event she offers a gift, which, if you refuse, breaks her and if you accept she becomes obsessed and possessive (the usual trope for driders). Final event is where she accidentally harms you, is taken aback, and decides it's probably best to leave. You could accept and that would end the relationship (but there was a timeskip where she comes back in a much better condition than before; good end) or you could refuse and attempt to fix it then, leading to her development of liking torturing you (the bad end ).
Again, this was over six years ago.

As for my content in general, I have six novels published (which during the initial MonHun dating sim one was already published and the second being prepped for release), with 11 others free on another website that I go back and clean up (truth be told I preferred working on those). Plan to upload the next soon enough there, a pure horror story. Have two screenplays finished, which the first is in the process of cleanup before being sent out (adaptation of first third of book 1). Working on a TRPG at the moment, but I don't think that will see light for another year (terrible artist but learning). Also forge blades during the spring and summer for commissions.

Alright from the thumbnail silhouettes I can distinguish Mizutsune in the middle and Zinogre at the far right. I would guess that the one right to Mizutsune is either Somnacanth or Royal Ludroth, and the one on the far left may be Malzeno or possibly Athal-Ka. And right to them could be Gigginox ? Hard to tell
