I live in South Africa, but something has drawn me to the Blackfoot language and culture for a long time. I have no blood ties that I know of, but when I hear this language spoken, it feels like it speaks to something deep in the spirit that animates me. I wish I could learn to speak this language fluently and communicate with the Blackfoot people face to face.
This is great stuff! I teach in the Shoshone immersion school her in Fort Hall. It makes me so happy to see young people taking their Tribal language learning seriously. This is a very beautiful prayer here. I would like to maybe use the same prayer to translate into Shoshone if that would be ok? Is there any way we could get a copy? Thank you for these vidoes. They inspire our people to do the same kinds of things to keep our Newe Daigwa alive. Ho! Osen beai daga!
The language is "dead" per say. As is Latin. It's.. such a beautiful spoken language.. I wish I had learned more in browning... I'm white yes, no native roots ik of.. but the language speaks to me. I was present for the pow wow of 19. It.. was magical..

I've "been" with and dated blackfeet women (probably the best, they dont sacrifice for nothing besides the future. )
Siksikai’powahsin certainly isn’t dead
8 years and counting 😢 it's sad to see this was very short order to help preserve a language😢
