And people wonder why the Celtics have dropped several games lately. With Marcus out we're missing so many easy buckets and huge defensive stops every game. He's such an important player for the roster even just for his energy alone.
EVERYONE KNOWS. Stop acting like ya'll have the inside scoop. People have been saying how great an all around player smart is since before he was drafted. He JUST started getting recognized as a top defender a few years ago, but that doesn't mean everyone just forgot about the rest of his game.
This video also doesn’t show how he’s also one of the best post up guards in the league. Always getting easy buckets in the post. His finishing in the lane has always been great
So good. DPOY last year so idk if he can be considered underrated. His value to this team is what's underrated and people don't realize the impact of not just his defense but when he's shooting well and playmaking I wouldn't want anyone else on my team.
Hi, Marcus! Focus on your own game. Continue to put in the work and you will do AMAZING things! People will always compare hoopers on they league. Unnecessary. You are efficient. They will always emphasize a tough game or areas of weakness. Boston hasn't had a greater team like this since KG's and them era. It sometimes takes a while to find the right pieces but when you do... OH BOY!✊🏾💯👏🏾💯💕🥰
this video his playmaking skills and defensive instinct, but he's also maybe the best guard in the game at post offense and boxing out. his only defensive weakness is against skilled big men who have position under the basket, but its not easy to get that position on him.
What’s so impressive is the constant improvement every year he’s always been a defender but I remember when the crowd used to boo him on his 3 point shots now we live with them he’s the heart of the team
smart is a very valuable piece for the Celtics but his biggest weakness is when he tries to play hero ball. his game has been maturing every season thought so I'm excited to see him in the playoffs
Not underrated to all of us! He’s got a Bird-like understanding of where all his teammates are located at any given instant and plays lockdown D. I literally worry ever game he’s out.
He doesn't get appreciation for his offense though. He is top 10 in APG and I think he's also one of the most productive PnR ballhandlers this season, so this video is highlighting his playmaking ability. Honestly he's one of the best pure PGs in the league but nobody ever rates him like that
@@dekutheg2949 agreed! Playing on a team with primary scorers like, Tatum and Brown. Won't exactly give you the chance to put up high numbers like them in terms of points. But, his vision and passing is so underrated it makes me mad lol. I hope he gets his flowers one day on the offensive end as well.
You just called the reigning DPOY an underrated player. You meant to say "underrated offensive player", which he is not. One day people will realize how it's possible to express how good you think someone is without trying to make it seem like you're the only one who sees it. He was drafted as an all-around player who could do a little of everything, including defend. He became a defensive stopper through hard work and film study. We all know he's vital to the C's because we're watching him make the same plays.
I'd argue he's overrated seeing as he's on a flagship franchise and won DPOY last year despite clearly not being the best defensive player in the league.

Marcus is the heart
Bro went through Rondo, Bradley, IT4, Kyrie, rozier, and kemba to be here
Playmaking like crazy, getting steals like crazy, he can shoot 3’s, dunk, layup, and get put backs. Very impressive. 👏🏻
we appreciate MS heavy.. at least us quality fans that know how essential he is
Well said
my fav celtics player since Rondo

He plays HARD, thats awesome for the team it sets a bar
Such an underrated playmaker
He's improved so much in the last 2 years tho. Prior to that he'd take really bad shots
The most overrated player in Celtics history!
This video also doesn’t show how he’s also one of the best post up guards in the league. Always getting easy buckets in the post. His finishing in the lane has always been great
He's the point guard we didn't know we needed.
in marcus we trust
Only took us nearly a decade after we drafted him to realize this lol
So good. DPOY last year so idk if he can be considered underrated. His value to this team is what's underrated and people don't realize the impact of not just his defense but when he's shooting well and playmaking I wouldn't want anyone else on my team.
MARCUS IS A ONE OF A KIND PLAYER, HE'S LIKE A BASKETBALL SUPERHERO.
0:58 Literally the best crowd reaction
His buzzer beater against the Knicks was one of only three times Mike Breen has done a double bang
He is my favorite celtic!🥰

Smart is the second best PG in the NBA when it comes to impacting winning behind curry
this video his playmaking skills and defensive instinct, but he's also maybe the best guard in the game at post offense and boxing out. his only defensive weakness is against skilled big men who have position under the basket, but its not easy to get that position on him.
People say Tatum and Brown, I say Smart and Time Lord
You say them for what? The best role players?
He’s my favorite player!
What’s so impressive is the constant improvement every year he’s always been a defender but I remember when the crowd used to boo him on his 3 point shots now we live with them he’s the heart of the team
MS loves his bounce passes

Talented player 😊
Soul of the C’s
Amazing player
Why is no one talking about 2:13 putback 😱
Они очень профессиональные!
I didn’t know he could distribute so well.
Go to 6:11 and close ur eyes and listen to after he says “Marcus Smart left hand.” 🤭
Not underrated to all of us! He’s got a Bird-like understanding of where all his teammates are located at any given instant and plays lockdown D. I literally worry ever game he’s out.
Small Nikola Jokic !
Marcus Smart was BORN to play the 1 for the Green. 'Nuf Ced.
Anyone who actually watches him knows how valuable he is, the “fans” who just watch hilights will say he’s a casual but they just don’t know the nba 😭
They said he couldn't become DPOY. I guess Avery Bradley's legacy is saved.
9:27 double dribble
Nice
People arguing who is the best Celt - Tatum or Brown, but it’s always was Smart
THE DOUBLE AGENT ON OFFENSE AND DEFENSE MARCUS SMART {AGENT 36} GET SMART!!!😉😉😉
Makes it look so easy
Best passer in the league
Better than Jokic?
His last name is SMART for a reason. ☘
Certainly isn't for his shot selection
I just made a perimeter lockdown on 2k23 based off Marcus Smart 🔒💪🏽💯 such a great 2 way player
So is Rob Williams
👍🔥😍
GOAT
He is smart
💯
👍👍👍
It's no coincidence that we started winning once kyrie left
He's impact similar to Lonzo. Elite defense with now an improved passing and spot up threes
Lonzo wishes he was as impactful as MS
@@djjones2441 but Lonzo’s potential was far more than Smart’s
@@joecesh doesn’t matter what his potential was. He still doesn’t have the impact of Marcus.
i mean boston has the rfs on their side
The only thing that's prevented him from being a star player was his shooting efficiency, setting that aside he's basically like Jrue Holiday.
One of the highest iq player in the game
Marcus Smart is due for a drug test with all of these dimes 😂😂
Tatum and brown obviously better but smart is the real leader of the team
역시
He is the reigning DPOY please
He doesn't get appreciation for his offense though. He is top 10 in APG and I think he's also one of the most productive PnR ballhandlers this season, so this video is highlighting his playmaking ability. Honestly he's one of the best pure PGs in the league but nobody ever rates him like that

interesting
He’s literally a little less talented more physical/gritty rajon rondo minus rebounds

say what you want about his flopping, the dude won dpoy for a reason, and is the leader of this championship team for a reason.
He’s like actually really over rated though
Post booker plz
Nah bro thinks he is really good, he’s just off brand Patrick bevevery
click bait title
Marcus Smart is more and more Larry Bird alike, got another pair of eyes at the back of his head.
I love Smart but c'mon man ...
bros a dpoy and is some how overrated
Make that the most overrated player in the NBA.
