With the overwhelming amount of people that have commented that it works, you have sparked my interest again... There will be a round 2 of dowsing in the near future for this guy! Thank you all for your comments :)
What's more scary is our boss in the cable installation industry, who would use rods like that would stop where they crossed and then start stomping one foot, counting his stomps. However many stomps it would take for the rods to go straight again, would be the number of feet below ground that the pipe would be.
The fact that you are willing to give something a go like this shows that you are an open-minded person willing to learn at any stage of life-a life-long learner! You will definitely succeed in life!! I have a son the same age as you with the same good head on his shoulders. Thank God for young men (and women) like you out there influencing and inspiring our world! Be proud! ⭐
Years ago , my step dad had someone come out 2x and drill down for water. It was dry each time and cost some big bucks. Then he had a dowser come out that used a branch that was in a Y shape and it pulled downward where the water was. When he had the people come back out and drill down it hit water. It was always very cold and came out clean and good when tested.
My father-in-law has found hundreds of streams of water for wells. I’ve heard him say that if the water is pressurized that “witching “ will not work. He would always use a fresh cut willow fork or a peach fork. This also works when trying to find unmarked graves. Great channel and fellow eastern ky resident. Good luck
@@ThePasturedHomestead ours was a foot or so away from the spot it crossed but also ours was much deeper. One line we replaced was 4 ft down when we dug it
I know a lady in NC that did that and every time she would find water. Everyone would call her when purchasing property to have her find the water. I never knew you could do it to find electrical lines underground. New to your channel. Trying to binge watch all of your videos.
Remember the ground has electricity, when theres a hollow ground somewhere, its greats multiple electricity wave , and thats what your dowsing rid is getting..!!!!!
I'm 75 years old, I learned how to find water by my Grandfather using the two rods with tubes on the handles. It worked just fine for me in Florida. I found water at 22 feet deep and an other at 30 feet deep.
I've done that in the past and Wells and drilled and found the best water you could ever drink taught it by someone that used to do it for years I was skeptic first too but it does work
A sensitive dowser will have great sucess. Some folks don't. Depth can be found, as well. If I douse with bent coat hangers, the rods will react to larger electric wire and voids, also.
I learned in school it has to basicly to due with the energy below ground. So I tried it when I got home and my dad and I had no clue where the city water went thru our yard and sure did work for me.
Great vid! It works for me, but not for everyone. Used to find drains on the golf course, my work colleagues were sceptical, but it worked. They said i was turning the wires. I said how? , my knuckles are white with gripping the wire. My theory is that it's something to do with the physics of the human body . I have loads of energy, i believe this is the key? .... My first vid, im gonna watch more...love your bib n brace overalls by the way 😜
Suggestion: Get 2 drinking straws. Cut them a little longer than the width of your hand. Dip the ends of the rods into them while you are holding the rods during your dowsing. That way they can freely flow and you wont be paranoid with them being in your bare hands.
Experiment with Dowsing back in the 80 when my daughter was in grade school. We tried the normal stuff, where she walked across our yard with coat hangers in her hands, she was about 8 at the time. The coat hangers would cross at a certain spot. Later we tried having her sitting in a little red wagon, while I pulled her across the same area with her eyes closed, the coat hangers crossed at the same spot. When I told some of my coworkers about the experiment, someone pulled out a couple bend coat hangers and they had me walk across the floor. They knew where the rods would cross but I didn't, the rods crossed for me. You didn't find the water line you were looking for, but is there something buried deeper at the location where your rods crossed?
Yes it does work, I actually do it a lot for my line of work for utility locating and copper works the best or willow branches for water and not everyone can do it, it depends on your energy and if you are grounded correctly to the earth
I worked 12 yrs for a water distribution company and we used what we called a Wand. It was a plastic handle with an telescopic antenna that pivots out to 90°or more. I relied on it and believed it more than all the high tech electronic locators we had. Ya should have started at your main line and found it and then walk that line on the side towards your barn its there and that does work. If your in colder climate your frost line is probably more than 3 ft.
To lessen the chance of the handler influencing the rods, use thick copper wire (#6), and two short lengths of 1/2" copper water line. Put the L into the 1/2" water pipe and just hold the water pipes, allowing the rods to free float. The rods will react much quicker and sharper.
I think your subconscious mind is a powerful element. Even if you don't think about moving it and aren't doing it intentionally, your subconscious mind is affecting the outcomes.
This does work a thirty year ground crew plumber thought me this technique he called it the witchy wands but when I worked at the plumbing company we would use this technique to find water and sewer all the time the only problem with it is it will pick up any little piece of trash in the ground as well
My guess is that putting the straws on the rods insulated the rods from your hand and you actually needed a ground connection through your feet to your hands to the rod. When I have done it the rods signal the finding but it's actually my feet that specify the location.
Guaranteed to work 9 out of nine times. Don't hold the rods tight, hold them loosely and they will cross over the water and a quicker cross over deep water
I worked for water distribution company 12 yrs and we had top of the line electronic locators. But for the most part we used what we called The Wand. It's just a plastic handle with a telescopic antenna that ya can bend out on a 90° or more.
I can find water lines, drain fields, and other water. Flowing or pressurized water shows up better. And the more shallow the better but I can find shallow water veins like 40-100 foot deep. But the less material between you and the water the better i5 works. If it's got enough pressure or speed you can tell the direction of flow by holding them out to the side in both directions I always prefer to use the rods in a tube so they aren't touching my skin so I can't affect them as much
In the military, EOD uses them to find command det ied wires, and it works. Also alot of water lines are burried 18 inches below the frost line. We love our trenchers
If you understand that your body is more than 70% water, and water, conducts, electricity, and you’re dealing with a piezoelectric phenomenon, if you are dehydrated, it won’t work as well, and if your feet are more insulated from the ground, you may not get as strong of a reaction.
Everything is energy, and has its own electrical frequency. What’s happening, is your body is like a jumper cable between the ground and the dowsing rods. When there is a strong connection, that’s when you get the rods crossing. It’s all science, not weird stuff!
Well, you at-least tried it out! Bummer it didn’t work. Researching it, I came to your same conclusion (that it more relies on prior knowledge or other inputs rather than solid science) but trying it out didn’t hurt. Looking forward to the next videos!
Just a hint---Best to map out the whole area before you start digging---unless you KNOW what you have found---the rods locate ALL things underground, so you could have water, telephone, gas, electrisity etc. If you map the area, it becomes very obvious what you have located.
I think it should be a mandate or law that ALL homes, homesteads, houses, farms, and acreage, when bought, should include in the sale ALL of the underground work such as gas lines, water lines etc. All of that should be documented and saved by homeowners for any new buyers. Maybe get ahold of any previous owners or at city hall to find distinctly where the lives are to save you having a mishap or boo-boo and having to replace anything or having to keep digging and wearing yourself out when that energy could be used for other renovations. BTW... Love your channel and your ingenuity! Us ladies want to see more of your wife and her endeavors! I live in Apple Creek Ohio ( Amish country as well) and its a great living environment but I'm determined to move to Alaska or Oregon. Love you ya'll.
Wonderful! Ashlyn, works in the city so a lot of the time its just me but the next couple videos shes is in them:) We always try to do a video or two on her days off!
Bless your heart. Don't you know there is a national hotline to have those things located? Most all states mandate you call before you dig. And no you'll never get ownership of those lines unless you don't want the service from those companies. They even have a nifty term for it called an easement.
I have heard of rods made from coat hangers working but aren’t they traditionally made of copper? Also, having an extra tube the handle sits it where you hold them so they can move very freely. ?
The rods will cross with any pipe, wire, cable, water or metal. But they also pick up on OVERHEAD wires--so always look up!. An underground "cave will register at the edges, but probably nothing in the center. Same with walking over a wjde stream--they only signal the edge. I cannot tell what I have found, or how deep, but in most cases I can work it out. I have never (in 50 years) met a person for whom this does not work!
Watched your video. First off not everyone is blessed with the ability to do it. In Canada we call it Witching or divining. My husband can witch anything in the ground. Water, waterlines hydro lines, gas lines. I on the other hand can’t do it. However if I hold the rods and my husband holds my wrists then it will work for me. Also you can’t put a sleeve on the rod because you have now lost the direct connection from your body (hand) to the rod. My husband says if you send him a plane ticket he would be happy to come and witch your water lines Lol
It works. We use it all the time to find old foundations on historical sites for archaeological purposes. But interestingly, not everyone can do it. Not sure why-possibly some people have a more magnetic aura than others that interacts with the magnetic aura of the item? Dunno.
If you go to the spigot you can take a thin metal stick and stick it in the ground to follow it. That's what I did to find my pipes. It was just a bit thicker then say two of your coat hangers. I dug lots of he's till I used this method and took my under 20 min to find end to end. You just have to stick them in softly to not bust anything
Our former home and neighborhood's wells were spotted by this guy from Everett who water witched 15 wells including ours and we never went dry, even during a few dry summers we had!! He made a believer out of me for I was really a skeptic!! A friend from afar!! D
In my area thes a older guy that digs wells and sand points and thats what he uses mainly he uses twigs off a tree and i watched him for 2 days. I am a brick layer and where he found water with the rods there was water so i does water i believe it to fi d water in the ground not water lines
when it is a natural spring underground or looking for a place for a well the dowsing rods spin around in your hand so fast at the closet point to the source of water you think they are going to fly out of your hands - with an underground water pipe the rods just cross
I had to put in two cut off valves on water lines last week for my aunt. The valves were about 80 feet apart one to cut off a line going to the barn and the other to cut off a line going down to the horse arena. I found the waterline for both within a 30 inch circle burried 30 inches deep. I was using my divining rods made of alloy rods with copper grips. My son was like no way! After we finished i told him tofind another water line in a different spot. He hit it within minutes and said lets dig it up and see. I told him we didnt have to because it wasnt a waterline. I put my metal detector on it and registered a perfect 67 meaning copper. I had let him find a copper gas line that was about 10 feet from the water line. Then i pointed him closer to where the pvc water line should be and he crossed on it right away. I asked him if he neededto dig it to be sure and he said heck no. I know where its at why would i dig it. Lol Big thing i noticed was you had high voltage power i huge metal barn and a camper where you were looking. All those interfere with finding that magnetic flux that crosses your rods.
I’ve just come across your videos! They are great. Having said that I come from the eastern side of Australia so I don’t know anything about Kentucky or the USA - so I’ve been doing a lot of research now. Thanks 😊
I've used dowsing rods and I was a skeptic until I saw that they work. What works best is brass brazing rod about 2 feet long. Bend them at about 6 inches. When you use them hold them at shoulder height pointing straight out in front of you about 18 inches apart. They pull so hard that you can't hold them back pinched between your thumb and fingers. For some folks, when they twist in your hands so they point together sometimes they will begin to bounce and tell you how deep you need to go. It works for water, buried materials and for gold. One of the richest gold strikes in BC, Canada (Spanish Mountain) was discovered with dowsing.
@@doyleholmes2490 Then why are you not the most famous person on the planet who proved that humans have magical powers? How exactly you proved it? Because I can bet that your "proof" was to just walk around with sticks and when they crossed you dig down until you hit a water, which is basically guaranteed outcome by digging in any spot. But please, explain to me how you proved it.
There has been to many videos that have someone to come out and find water and thats where they drilled for water and there was water and thats where they put the well
i can guarantee this works, almost anyone can do it! i had the city do a locate for me once. they were only about ten feet off! I found the pipe in about ten seconds! (been doin' this since i was about ten)
I have located a clay tile sewage line almost 4' feet deep using dowsing rods. I didn't believe it would work and my father in-law insisted it would work. We dug the hole and to my amazement there it was.
Wrong example, it's the gravity that does that. And the Sun has in fact half as much the effect on the tide that the Moon has. The tide is mostly a consequence of the superposition of these two sinusoïdal forces creating water bulges around the earth. However, water molecules do have a polarity. hence the fact you can bend water flowing from a faucet with a comb charged with static electricity.
The sun and the moon have gravitational pull on the water in the oceans. There's a bulge on either side if the planet both caused by the sun and the moon. And as the Earth rotates, the tides go in and out of those buldges creating high and low tides. The Moon doesn't pull the water high for high tides and pull it the other way for low tides. The earth moves in and out of the tides. Hard to explain without a picture to show you.
I saw it work in person once with overhead water lines. There was ceiling tiles and this guy said it would find a water line if they crossed below it. He even let me try it, I don't know how but in that case it worked. I will watch more videos.
it is about the way you are using them, in thi video you are actually searching for voids not Water, in order to detect water you have to wet your hands with water and dip the ends of the rods a little bit in the ground make sure your hands are wet with "WATER" and then try again, it wont cross if you go over "VOID".
If I was closer I'd help you I've done it many times and it works blows your mind every time also as much work as you saying going to be doing around there I know it's expensive but you need to buy a backhoe for your tractor it's going to come in extremely handy
Nope, never found it and I even had the old owner come by and he said I was way off. I decided to run a new line adjacent to the road for easy repair later one!
I’ve seen this work many times. I am not gifted that way, but a friend of mine is. I could get no movement, so, as I held the rods, my friend placed her hands on mine , walked backwards while I walked forward. The rods turned in my hands. There was no way I could stop them. Had a well dug right there and there was plenty water. Incidentally, my friend cannot wear a wrist watch, for it will eventually quit working.
it has do do with magnetic fields that everything gives off, dowsing has also been used to find gold, and other metals, 200 or more years this has been done, and way before modern tech. My grandfather used dowsing to find where to put new water wells and was right every time.
Dowsing does work!!!!I used to work locating phone cables...I've found clay sewer pipe also...There needs to be flowing water as the water has a "charge" it emits....The best material for your rods are copper or steel wires...yours appeared to be aluminum by looks...I'm in Michigan and water lines must be lower than the frost line which up here it's 36-38 inches deep...I'm almost positive that your water pipe is plastic....there is nothing to generate a charge just a piece of plastic....The best dowsing rods I found are the old wire locating flags the power, gas etc. used to use...It's not witch craft or paranormal....but you do have to believe...lol
I found water on my place when a water well man told me there was no water. I had him drill a well and had the best water in the community. I had all the best water that i could use.
give the dowsing rods to someone who does NOT know where the water/electrical lines are .... then you watch them.... this is how my i learned it was real. my uncle had me do it.... he did NOT tell me where the water lines were until after.
When we had to redo the water lines to the old farm house my dad put 1’ long rebar next to the pipe. The electric lines were over head so no need to there but if it was underground I assume he would have done the same so then all that’s needed is a metal detector
here a reaction from Holland about Dowsing. I've seen it work. I tried it too. With me it didn't work so I think not everybody has that "power". I know I don't :(
Have to say you were a good sport with trying Dowsing even though it didn't help you locate the water line. Give you credit for giving it a good try and not giving up easily.
It could be that the water line is deeper than you dug, or it might be signally natural underground water... When the water company here replaced the main on my street, it was about 4-5 down. It does work, have seen it many, many times... Many times people are looking fir natural water, where to dig a well, and it works for them...anyway, call the water company and have them come out and mark the lines for you. They will usually dig it up and turn it on for you at no cost.
I did that back in the 70s looking for copper cables buried 5-7 feet deep I marked 10 locations I was exactly on spot 9 times and within a foot the tenths time
With the overwhelming amount of people that have commented that it works, you have sparked my interest again... There will be a round 2 of dowsing in the near future for this guy! Thank you all for your comments :)
Hey you should pin this comment to people see it.
Dowsing was tested 'blind' in the 70s and it was found that it works for approximately 50% of people, maybe get a few other random people to try.
Did you ever find it?

Nothing magical about it, generally works with 1 in three people. Something to do with electromagnetic fields.

One of the principles of dowsing is that the expectation determines the result
Sounds like religion.
Could it be that it’s indicating the location of water and not a water pipe?
In my region of Pennsylvania water companies that I inspected for all wanted the water lines at a minimum of 4 feet deep.
I think that its the earths pull, like a magnet. I don't believe that it is supernatural.

Are you pushing the metal rod into the ground to see if you hit the water line or are you putting it down the pipe?
@@ThePasturedHomestead into the ground
@@ThePasturedHomestead just can't do in the gravel drive cuz of gravel
Our former home and neighborhood's wells were spotted by this guy from Everett who water witched 15 wells including ours and we never went dry, even during a few dry summers we had!! He made a believer out of me for I was really a skeptic!! A friend from afar!! D
Just FYI there is water basically EVERYWHERE underground, including sahara desert, as long as you dig deep enough...
where we did dowsing we had to have a drill come in and drill for over 100 feet befor water was acually hit
Wow, I couldn't Imagine that!
Lol
Big thing i noticed was you had high voltage power i huge metal barn and a camper where you were looking. All those interfere with finding that magnetic flux that crosses your rods.
Believe it or not but our local water company use this method.
They must teach me their ways
I’ve just come across your videos! They are great. Having said that I come from the eastern side of Australia so I don’t know anything about Kentucky or the USA - so I’ve been doing a lot of research now. Thanks 😊
Thats wonderful! Kentucky has a lot of interesting history. We are looking forward to checking out all the Ghost towns!
This sounds like a fairy tale.
@@Zripas Think whatever you want. I thought so too until I proved it.

Then why are you not the most famous person on the planet who proved that humans have magical powers?
How exactly you proved it? Because I can bet that your "proof" was to just walk around with sticks and when they crossed you dig down until you hit a water, which is basically guaranteed outcome by digging in any spot. But please, explain to me how you proved it.
The old timers used small peach limbs, long before they had wire
Which county are y'all in? Awesome!
Bath!
There has been to many videos that have someone to come out and find water and thats where they drilled for water and there was water and thats where they put the well
Dowsing has been around for hundreds of years.
i can guarantee this works, almost anyone can do it! i had the city do a locate for me once. they were only about ten feet off! I found the pipe in about ten seconds! (been doin' this since i was about ten)
I have located a clay tile sewage line almost 4' feet deep using dowsing rods. I didn't believe it would work and my father in-law insisted it would work. We dug the hole and to my amazement there it was.
Water has magnet properties, its also why the tides are affected by the moon.
I think they use it for digging wells
I think the rods help focus your own energy you know what you are looking for in your mind and the rods focus that energy being used.
If you turn the tap on your rods will find flowing water faster.
We would always use the wire stem from locator flags
Your channel is growing like a weed. Congrats. Your on your way to being a busy channel. Keep up the good work
Thank you Glen! Ashlyn and I talk about how lucky we are to read comments of love and support everyday! What a wonderful gift!
We bury water lines 3-4 ft deep
I'm looking at the video a year after. Did he ever find the water line? If so, how far off was he the first time?
Nope, never found it and I even had the old owner come by and he said I was way off. I decided to run a new line adjacent to the road for easy repair later one!
When we were kids the man who looked for water used two willow branches, I didn’t think it was very special because we had springs all over the farm,
My father-in-law and mother-in-law bought used it. They taught me. And I now believe! Lol but I was skeptical at first!
Saw a friend of my Dad's do this with a peach tree fork, 60 years ago. It doesn't work for everyone though.
My dad always did this when drilling for water. However, he used a forked branch from a certain kind of tree, no metal. He always found water.
I’ve heard of that method. Maybe it’s worth a shot!
Hink it is willow as willow are attracted to water.
@@adrianbartlett3450it's because they are full of water!
@@adrianbartlett3450it's because they are full of water!
You can hold them tight it will cross when you go over water you won’t be able to hold it .
If there was so much force in it, then it would be really easy to objectively test it. Why no one done it so far?
You guys have inspired me I want to be mortgage free too☺️
Do u have old videos, if so look where its exactly at
No sadly we don’t:/
People have been using this for years. That is how the found water to dig wells. There's nothing supernatural about it.
DIG IT UP. THAT IS the only way to find out
Can you hire a hand held water/pipe locater?
We could do that. But we need an excavator to run the other lines to the garden so we may just redig to this yard hydrant
give the dowsing rods to someone who does NOT know where the water/electrical lines are .... then you watch them.... this is how my i learned it was real. my uncle had me do it.... he did NOT tell me where the water lines were until after.
Im going to give them to Ashlyn this weekend!
My grandfather could do this. He also did it for oil, it's different, it worked.
He used a a forked limb.
Not everyone can do it. It is in your body chemistry.
Thank you! We tried again and still didnt find it. I even had the old Owners come out and the dowsing was WAY off!
This water line is about 600ft off the road, I’m not sure if they would do that. It must have been signaling something else then!
Did you ever find your water line? And if so, was it close to where you were digging?
Never found it! Had to give up and run a whole new line
Do you think it matters if one has rubber boots or insulated soles? Also, try Glass long neck bottles instead of your hands. Great job!
Try spinning them before bring them up. I’ve seen someone do it that way. Idk why but it seems to help.
I did that back in the 70s looking for copper cables buried 5-7 feet deep I marked 10 locations I was exactly on spot 9 times and within a foot the tenths time
I think i need to use copper rods next time and put water in the line.
