"Should we carry this farce on just as before? Or start living for life's sake, away from the ward?" edit: if you have troubles, take a little bit of pregabalin or gabapentin, dph and drink a couple beers. Works well for keeping sickness at bay

My gawd the amount of emotion and truthfulness is so immense. The vid is so sad and the music is so beautiful... the vocals/lyrics fit everything that this music and vid has to offer.. This band is untouchable and are in a league of their own!

So eine geile Band. Es ist wie ich finde unwahrscheinlich selten im Metal das Songs wirklich von Herzen kommen und echte Emotionen darinstecken. Für viele Bands ist das einfach nur ein spaßiges Hobby. Zusammen mit den Jungs ein paar brutale Songs raushauen und sich selbst nicht zu ernst nehmen.. darin ist nichts falsch, aber die Songs haben dann eben keine Substanz oder Tiefgang und unterhalten vielleicht den Hörer aber berühren ihn nicht. Bei Harakiri For The Sky habe ich das Gefühl, dass da wirklich jemand 100% dahintersteht - die Musik ist real und kommt von Herzen. Ich glaube der letzte Song den ich so gefühlt habe war Profound Hatred of Man von Shai Hulud.

shepperoni I feel the same way about Deafheaven. They introduced me the genre of post/atmospheric black metal and bands like Harakiri for the Sky, this type of music truly is amazing
I also love Deafhaven! It's bands like these that counteract the argument of the metal genre as a whole being one big incomprehensible scream. There's layers of beauty beneath the harsh exterior, just like the many shades of gray between the the light and darkness.
shepperoni Ikr. This genre has produced the some of most emotional and beautiful music I've ever heard. It just has so much depth and contrast on so many levels. And I agree, it truly has made my life better.
I am extremelly grateful for a girlfriend who showed me HFTS. One of the rare BM bands that I enjoy (sorry, but I am not much into BM, only Behemoth is exception) and they are far more depressing than more mainstream bands (Tool, Soen and even Opeth although I also adore Opeth) and actually most depressing band ever. Such atmosphere and passion put in every part of the song (melodic guitars, blasting drums, bass which I can HEAR and passionate vocals). Harakiri, please come to Croatia one day

John Martin Not to say that HFTS aren't inspired by and continue to develop on Agalloch's music, but I think there are bands way closer in style and themes to what Agalloch used to do while also still expanding on the sound.
John Martin I can see that. They're not gone entirely though, they live on in the sound of their new projects and other bands. I just wish I had gotten the chance to see them live :(

It hurts my heart to see this clip, but it's beautifull. Edit: Corrected some typo's cuz watery eyes :') I keep coming bk now and listening, i wish i could share this with my soulmate and commune about the great music we always shared, this song, video and lyrics are just adding a bit stardust to the blackhole in my soul, the man in the video reflects the suffering of my heart and soul, the screams reflect the aching echo of my soul. I'm happy cuz somehow this is like an ointment for my soul.
