Ivia Ya Nzamani (Nzambani Rock) in Kitui County - Kithio Kya Mukamba (ThuvaWitu) PART 1

The Magical Nzambani rock locally known as Ivia ya Nzambani, is a stone outcrop standing approximately 600 feet 183 meters above the ground.
The rock is situated about 8 kilometers from Kitui town along busy rough Kitui-Mutitu road at Nzambani market in Kitui.
It is also normally considered as a tourist destination to many who are curious to change their gender.
It is believed that going round the rock could change your gender. Ivya ya Nzambani as known to the Kamba community is unique and attractive.
Nzambani Rock has been in existence for quit some years and behind it is a story passed on from one generation to another.

It is a beautiful scenario which has a magical history. It is approximately 183m above the ground and is 8km away from Kitui town along the Kitui-Mutitu road.
Research has it that indeed no one has however tried to go around it seven time, the rock is bigger than it is reported.
Tale surrounding its existence is that of a lady who was called Nzambaa.
When she was a young girl, in a company of two girls had gone yo fetch firewood in the vast forest. She had collected a stone to take it to her grandmother and the stone had started growing big with her and she slowly turned into a rock that grew bigger each day
Despite the sacrifices made to appease gods for her well being nothing turned and she remained as the huge rock.
