The case quadtracs are the best high hp tracked machine out there. We have ran johndeere 9rxs as well but the case machines outperform them hands down . We started with a 9380 back in 2004 and since then we have ran 535s 500s and now a 580 and 500 . Our 580 is tuned to 680 hp and the 500 is at 600 and they pull hard and use less fuel. Our 580 is a scraper special and weighs more than a regular one plus has different gears and a huge drawbar. Great video this one is my favorite so far !

My neighbor Dennis Wilkinson was the designer ,owner of Omni track. That's who made the first quad tracks and put them on the 9380 tractors. He put tracks on a lot of tractors. So it all started in a shop in Cove Oregon.

The farmer that used to rent our farm had a 1996 9370 QUADTRAC that he used to pull a 45' Krause disk. Pulled it down to the axle and never skipped a beat. He broke the tongue on that disk several times but not the tractor. She was a beast.

That's food for thought. I'm 37 and can remember (just) when MB Trac's and County Fords were hi tech and the Challengers were the tracked vehicle of choice yet it's been 25 years of 4 rubber tracks. Things really have changed in a very short time.

I grew up on a farm in the 70s but ended up running heavy equipment most of my life and around 2004 I got to run one of these pulling some discs to dry out a lift of dirt so another lift of dirt could be placed on a road widening project in Central Florida. Great video.

Sounds like that old boy has been around Quads for a few years. Just can’t beat the look of the original 9000 series quads. They just look mean. Glad that one found its way home. Pulling an air seeder it had a pretty easy life. Other than paint fade I bet she was a pretty straight old girl even at 17k hours before the resto.

How much of a Computer Science Background does one need to drive one of these Hi Tech, Computer Controlled Tractors. Are there any Tractors being produced that do not require Computer Knowledge for every Control Move.? Saw a Tractor working in a field in the Country of Romania in a recent video and it sure did not look that sophisticated and High Tech. Most Farmers in parts of Eastern Europe could not afford a Case Tractor let alone have a Dealership available to teach them how.?
