Your explanation as to why you chose to wear the hijab was just so beautiful as was your description of what namaz is for you was. May Allah increase you in guidance and humility. Im so proud of you but i just want to say that once we get that toufeeq from Allah then we must learn about that and since it is fard i-e compulsory so we must submit infront of Allah. We definitely go through times that devastate us from the inside and sometimes our emaan might be low but we still perform our fards including namaz etc. I also started taking hijab this year as a 21 yr old and i fear taking it off ever i just pray to Allah thst i neer take it off. May Allah keep you steadfast in this beautiful hijab journey 💖 Even if you don't feel like wearing hijab ,don't take it off because we know in our hearts that it's something that we ought to do..it's best to feel modest internally as well as externally but there are some days when we feel less spiritual. something is better than nothing ,so we can be modest externally as that light of faith will spark again and we will feel that spirituality again and at least we wouldn't have lost the chance to get good deeds.
I would love to hear more about how you worked on yourself to take care of your mental health and improved your relationship with food. And eventually transformed physically. You’ve talked about it but i want to hear more detailed story behind that because i liked the idea but I have been trying to for that for a long time but wasn’t successful. Thanks!

Humna I am struggling a lot with spirituality and forming a connection with Allah. I know you are not an expert but listening to really touches something in. Please share more of how you connect with it as I don’t want to be pressured into anything but try to understand and reconnect
Hamna you're going through an internal change. Please note that you will loose your existing friends as they won't be able to relate to your change. But you will find new ones. With hijab comes responsibility. There are certain things that you might want to avoid sharing like dancing in public or working out etc.. while some of us know you're taking it slow and exploring but you will still get a lot of judgment and I don't want this to make you think that you're more "accepted" without a hijab. There are a lot of other things that you can talk about like your day, food, travel, parenting etc. Just be patient and keep your trust in Allah. May Allah guide us all.
I absolutely loved this. I genuinely don't watch vlogs and stuff but heating you talk and share helped me alot. It's alot of perspective imo and since your open to feedback I'd love it if you could be our desi wizard Liz ( obv not that harsh😅)

We all have our highs and lows in faith but always remember that the angels spread their feathers for you when you walk outside with hijab on saying no to you desires and submitting to Allah’s commandments I’d like to make a kind suggestion that don’t let this decision change on the days when ur faith is low because on those days it is this piece of cloth that is going to rejuvenate you faith❤

Assalamualikm hamna first of all congratulations on your hijab journey and may Allah keep u steadfast on it.. love how u shared your true feelings and i would respectfully like to share my perspective about your thoughts on taking it off 6:23 .. I genuinely feel that Allah grants hidayah to a human being when his heart softens and he sacrifices his ego as u said too.. thats when Allah grants that soul ‘FURQAN’ i.e the ability to distinguish right from wrong.. when Allah granted you hidayah your soul automatically felt uneasy to do anything that was against HIS commands and hence you felt the urge and calling to start hijab .. being on this journey myself let me tell you ..taking the decision of wearing hijab is easy .. the difficult part is when shaitan tries to pull you down while you’re trying to hold on to it.. yes there might be days when you wont feel that spiritual.. absolutely.. but thats where Allah truly wants to test the iman of his servant.. thats where you have to fight your NAFS and keep following Allah’s commands and not shaitan’s.. where there’s true love there’s obedience.. You dont have to let your nafs or shaitan or its whispers win and take off the hijab just because you dont feel that spiritual high during a certain time period ..to anyone reading this comment please keep fighting your nafs pray to Allah to keep you steadfast .. its totally worth it inshallah .. this worldly life is just an illusion .. dont fall in this trap .. keep taking steps towards Allah and keep making yourself the best version of human being.. dear humna! You’re so blessed that Allah granted you hidayah . hold on to it and i’ll pray with all my heart that he keeps you steadfast ameen .. lots of duas and hugs
MashaAllah, this is beautiful, thank you for sharing. I also want to echo what you are saying. Our Iman and feelings will go up and down. It is very easy to worship Allah(SWT) and obey Him when our iman is high. However, the real test is when our iman is feeling low, to preserve, keep making dua for Allah(SWT) to help us, fight our nafs and continue to worship Allah(SWT). This is where growth happens.

Hijab is the journey.in itself towards God. It's not easy. And specially never easy for the newbies or the ones who are not generally surrounded by hijabis (referring to different societal fragments/classes and NOT in any judgemental way). God sees your struggles and He has got his own way of rewarding. And that, takes time. I just wish this journey is easy for you such that you never take it off. And that you develop all those timeless spirtuality inside, that you're seeking. Not bragging, but you look amazing in it. Secondly, even if you decide to take it off, it will be your personal choice. But I know you since 2015 and you are such a wonderful person, modesty, humility, positivity, faith, you've already got that. I have aleays admired you for it. So I do hope that God has chosen you for this. Since, practically and internally you are already a great human and muslim.

It is very easy to worship Allah(SWT) and obey Him when our iman is high. However, the real test is when our iman is feeling low, to preserve, keep making dua for Allah(SWT) to help us, fight our nafs and continue to worship Allah(SWT). This is where growth happens.

This is the biggest motivation of this year. Allah is great
Hijab is the journey.in itself towards God. It's not easy. And specially never easy for the newbies or the ones who are not generally surrounded by hijabis (referring to different societal fragments/classes and NOT in any judgemental way).
God sees your struggles and He has got his own way of rewarding. And that, takes time.
I just wish this journey is easy for you such that you never take it off. And that you develop all those timeless spirtuality inside, that you're seeking.
Not bragging, but you look amazing in it.
Secondly, even if you decide to take it off, it will be your personal choice.
But I know you since 2015 and you are such a wonderful person, modesty, humility, positivity, faith, you've already got that. I have aleays admired you for it. So I do hope that God has chosen you for this. Since, practically and internally you are already a great human and muslim.
