- I think we all know the answer.
And is it just me or does Randy's McDonald's order sound like Trey Parker just wrote down his own? The documentary did say he eats McDonald's to get over writer's block

Butters punching his dad in the groin is one of the greatest moments in the entire show in my honest opinion
Randy caused a pandemic and Gerald caused Denmark to go full-on surveillance state with the Internet. Still not the worst dads in South Park.
Getald is just a horrible person.
I think the pandemic wouldn't have happened if not for Mickey, by SP canon, since we was under the influence
Gerald trolls because he likes seeing the chaos unfold, not even taking to account that his actions caused the kids to turn on one another.
I actually would like to see an episode where Gerald's trolling came back to haunt him as a commentary of how actors, politicians and other celebrities have their internet history, from years ago be brought back and the hate falls on the commenter
Worst person not dad
Everyone seems to forget that Randy is personally responsible for the death of everyone in Finland. He didn't launch the nukes himself, but he ordered the attack... or are we placing 100% of the blame on the world's leaders for listening to him?
Didn't a country get nuked during the trolltracker thing?
@@kyleellis1825 no you're thinking of Finland. Or Kyle egging Grump to nuke Canada
They were going to nuke Denmark to prevent troll tracer
Personally, I think Gerald is the best father, while a bad person his kids aren't suffering too much from it. The most damage he's done to them is get them infairly grounded
I mean he did manipulate Ike into helping him by scaring him that Sheila and Gerald would divorce if not
@@straawberryfieldsforeverbut still, that compared to the terrible things the other dads have done....
@@purplecottoncandy1578yeah that's nothing
What about making them responsible for his trolling.
@@donovanlocust1106 also the fact that sheila is literally a worse parent than gerald, i mean ... she literally started an entire war against a country because her kid was acting slightly inappropriate 😭 she also is constantly aggressive and also angry at her kids, whereas gerald kinda does his own thing.
I just realised that literally nobody talks about Scott Malkinson's Dad or Jimmy's Dad, to start: Scott's Dad, although we don't see much of him, is kind of a huge dick. He genuinely could not care less about his son in the slightest. And for Jimmy's Dad, he views Jimmy as really nothing but something god used to get revenge against him for bullying crippled kids in high school/college
The only episode I remember of Scott's dad was the streaming episode.
I get why he didn't want to do streaming because he's a cable installer, his business was losing customers. To do streaming was admitting defeat.
Yet the show did show that despite competition, the cable company made no effort to changing so its just karmic for the cable jerks
@@theanimeunderworld8338 He's also in the pandemic special where he takes Scott out of proper education for the redneck brainwashing thing that I forgot what it's called
Scott's dad mocking him with the usual "I'm Scott Malkinson. I have a lisp and I have diabetes" is so freaking *brutal* ☠️
jimmy’s dad hardly pays attention to him at all too, but you can kinda see that his dad gave him some proper education, since jimmy is one of the nicest kids
although his mom probably had more to do in this area, she is someone that cares for jimmy unlike his father
Scotts dad only gets worse from what we hear in TFBW
I mean Butter's dad tried to help his mom cover up what they thought was his murder, punishes him for the slightest infractions, and had a bet with his wife on their son's sexual orientation. And he still isn't the worst. The worst is Nathan's father. Both he and his wife understand perfectly everything their child says and yet they gaslight him constantly. They send him to a camp every summer that he hates so they can get away from him and go places on their own. Their neglect of a child with a disability has caused Nathan to become an evil bastard who has tried to literally wipe out humanity so that only ads are the dominant species. They are proving the notion that villains are not born, they are made. Instead of being loving parents, they treat him like he's stupid. His mom even locks him in his room at night.
Worst Dad is definitely Butter's dad. He constantly grounds Butter's for the dumbest reasons and always shows such little care for Butters when it's needed. Best Dad in South Park I think would be Tolkein's Dad. He doesn't involve himself witht the Adult's stupidity as much. He is able to financially support his family without trouble. He actually treats his son the best out of all of the South Park Dads.
Yeah I think you’re pretty much spot on Tolkiens Dad seems to actually spend time with him and stuff all of their other dads are really distant and aloof only engaging with their kids when they absolutely have to. Or even worse when they want something I also notice overtime Randy has just become more ridiculous I mean in the beginning he was always kind of out there but overtime it’s just gotten more crazy
Stewart gave Kenny the worst curse that is worst than Steven but Steven is almost as bad randy is just to childish and Gerald is nearly as bad
which is probably why Tolkein is the only kid in South Park who isn't an idiot half the time
Butters really should go into CPS or have Tolkein's Dad adopt him
Richard Tweek is also a contender for the worst fathers on the show. Dude purposefully drugs the towns coffee with meth, and shovels the same coffee down his sons throat and tells him to drink it practically every time he gets upset (which is an effect OF the coffee) or even just casually. He also held a gun to his childs head, uses him for business profit, and makes him work and pick up the meth that he doesnt know gets put into his drink from a meth lab at kennys house
The dudes pretty bad
THIS why are we letting this SLIDE?!
I WAS LOOKING GOR THIS COMMENT
Kenny's parents also used to cook meth. Then they got caught and Stuart ended up working at Amazon.
I think the Tweaks are the only parents that are worse than the Stotches
Chris/Stephen is the worst Dad, but Gerald is arguably a worse person.
I think Kenny's dad is terrible
He doesn't have a real job yet complains about being poor and is putting his family through the mud because of it.
He doesn't do manual work like a plumber or handyman. He worked once as an Amazon worker but only to later strike
It's sad too because he really didn't need that arc at all.
he was actually a decently good dad before it
Exactly!
Stephen is a hypocrite and takes his issues out on Butters
While Gerald is a protected criminal on the loose
@@moezfoezthat season really ruined his character for a lot, huh?
@@DannyConeHeadOnceLer imagine if Heidi found out
She might pull an Eric style revenge scheme
Something I like about all the terrible dads in South Park. They're all different flavours of bad dads, and not your typical bumbling sitcom dad we've all seen a million times. You already know what I mean before I name-drop Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin.
I'd say Cartman's father, Jack Tenorman, is a contender. Not only did he cheat on his wife whom he had a child with, he also didn't step up and be a father to Cartman. In fact, he kept the whole thing secret because the Denver Broncos were having a really good year. In a way, Jack's absence is partially why Cartman turned out how he did. So Jack is here because he could've stopped Eric Cartman from becoming the most evil child ever.
How fitting that Jack's illegitimate son ended up turning him into chilli without even knowing that he's his father.
Oh yeah, and his born in wedlock son Scott is a spoiled j/a.
I never seen the eip show it ban n can't find it anywhere
And he also raised Scott to be a little ass
@@peteryanes3413 Google south park uncensored
hey may be dead but his spawn lives on
Mr Stotch is the worst South Park father ever. Grounding his son for the most useless things ever.
He was just like my foster parent.
@@nuclearcatbaby1131 Especially grounding his son for being raped grounding his son for going to the police about being raped grounding his son for not wanting to be raped and groaning his son because somebody else took advantage of him butter's parents didn't care about him nor did they love him they just wanted someone to Bally
He was very quick to forgive his wife for seemingly drowning Butter's in the lake.
Nah, even worse in the Post Covid movies. He grounded his son then abandoned him for years in his room without ungrounding him
@@sammywilliam8156 Well I got thrown out of the house for threatening to report that my twin sister got molested
Poor Butters. The sweetest character gets the worst parents
That groin punch was so satisfying, I was so excited for him
The cutest and sweetest characters get the shorter end of the sticks :(
Trey Parker said he based Randy on his own father in the early seasons.
And when Trey Parker himself became a father for the first time, he said he started to base Randy on himself.
Randy and Sharon are treys actual parents names and Gerald and Sheila are Matt’s parents names
I thought tou were a little too harsh to Stuart, like the fact he couldn't go to community college she missed the point he wanted to go but couldn't afford it and he views it as "fancy" college meaning he was so poor a community College was like Harvard to him
Its borderline free, i quite literally signed up, the bill was 640 dollars, my lower middle class ass got discounted by 620 dollars due to Fafsa, based on how poor he is I guarantee he can get 100%discount
@@bigdadycalusspaceturtle9302 sure if its real life... doesn't stop the fact the joke is literally that hes so poor he cant afford it
@@bigdadycalusspaceturtle9302They paid for me to go without even filing a FAFSA. It’s not worth it though. I go to UCSD now and I feel like I was robbed.
I basically got paid to go to community college because you get the leftovers from your PELL grants sent to you in check form after each semester. It was usually $200-$300 LOL.
Also, community college is absolutely worth it if you’re gonna go to college anyways. Going to a university for your general education (generally your first 2 years of college) is fuckin pointless unless you’re hellbent on paying out the ass for the party life.
I think the only reasons Stephen was upset when Butters faked his death is because it made him look bad and the guts of the pig body splattered on him(that would be traumatic for anyone) because in the episode where he believes that his wife killed Butters all he cares about is covering it up.
Funny enough if you talk to Stephen in Fractured But Whole durring the whole riot sequence he’s having a nightmare about his mother punishing him. Furthering the proof that Butters wasn’t the only one she tortured.
I think it would be either Stuart or Stephen. Stuart raises his kids in worse conditions, but Stephen displays much more malicious behavior towards his son.
Stuart is just like my father, looks like him and acts like him and even had the same name (although my dad’s was spelled different). My dad had a really high IQ though, he just didn’t care for school and had somewhat abusive parents (his mom was highly educated though)
im going to place my bets now its butters dad at least when it comes to constantly doing terrible stuff to his kid on a consistent bases
I see the arguments for each dad being the worse, i really do, it is just so hard for me to not say its Butters dad, Stephen, because Butters is such a sweet kid and the idea of anyone being mean to him upsets me 😂 you gotta be a real piece of work to be cruel to Butters let alone be mean to him when you're one of his parents! At least with the others I do believe they love their kids, Stephen tho...I dont quite believe he does. Justice for Butters!!
Wrong emoji
Chris hands down. all the other dads while still crappy have seveal moments where they are good dads but basically all Chris does is ground or beat Butters, the latter being when he was tricked I'll admit. I mean the only time he seemed to be cool with Butters was while he was high
Also the drone episode. I found it a nice change of pace that he firmly believed Butters was innocent.
Before seeing the video I'd say Butter's dad with Kenny's as a close second
kennys dad is just insecure, hes not a bad dad.
@whatismynametakeawildguess1133 yes he is he drunk a lot why Kenny became a super hero to protect his sister
@@whatismynametakeawildguesshe gets drunk and high while neglecting his unwashed kids... What?
@@mrcroob8563 But kenny got a bad dad and a bad mom which make it look worst, but stan only got the bad dad and Butters didn't really have a good mom, but it's mainly because of that one time she tried to kill him, the rest of the bad parenting is all carried by stephen
@@gizel4376 Okay that doesn't make him a good dad. They're both horrible, and the most realistic sadly.
I love how butters parents are both the worst parents in South Park
Steve is definitely "the worst" only because he would sweep the murder of his child under the rug.
To continue further on Butters’ grandma being the cause of Stephen/Chris’ grounding, in South Park The Fractured but Whole when the town is out partying at night you can see Stephen/Chris having a nightmare about his mother grounding him, then running and shouting “You can’t ground what you can’t catch!”
Butters' dad (at least from what I remember from my days of actually watching this show) was actively abusive to his son. Maybe the others were to, but he was the one who stands out in my mind on it 😟
butters dad and kyles.
it was the whole skankhunt thing for me, he was amazing up until that point.
All I’m saying is Butters is scared to perform a self liposuction operation in the living room.
Seeing this video I can say with confidence that Butters' dad is by far the worst father in South Park, if not one of the most despicable persons in the series. I personally know someone very close to me which both parents are exactly like Butters' and they make their life absolutely miserable. Absurd out of proportion punishments and narcissistic to the core, I didn't understood how much Butters suffers in their hands when I was younger, but knowing it personally now I can affirm that they are absolute trash human beings.
I super disagree with some of these placements. Kenny's dad is a deadbeat, physically abusive, broke, alcoholic, drug abusing dad who forces his kid to be a parent to his little sister. They seemingly know their kid is dying and being reborn frequently and don't even seem to care. He is absolutely the worst dad in the show.
Butters dad is almost as bad, being incredibly mentally abusive, controlling, gaslighting, hypocritical, and strict. It's pretty close, but he at least can provide for his kid and has good intentions. When he thinks Butters died in the Margarine episode he was incredibly broken up about it, and he at least can acknowledge when he is wrong when push comes to shove, for what it amounts to. He killed a woman to feed to what he thought was his zombie son, that is dedication, which is more than can be said about Kenny's.
Randy is moronic, selfish, and childish. He often puts his own goals before considering how he drags his family along (buying a blockbuster, moving to the farm), but he has more good will than the other two. Whenever Stan needs him he will always be there, whenever he comes up with his schemes he still (incorrectly) thinks its best for his family, and despite the friction in their relationship Stan will very often go to Randy for help because he knows that his father will help him.
Gerald is the most normal and well adjusted dad by a mile. He is your typical stable, supportive, boring father for his kids. He tries his best for Kyle and Ike, and until the troll trace episode never seems to stray from that archetype. His trolling escapades have little to do with his parenting and it seemed like a phase perhaps due to his boredom with his daily life that he justified in his own mind. Putting him below the rest due to that alone seems bizarre.
i completely agree with you, wise commenter.
Other than being an addict Kenny’s dad is better than butters, over controlling hypocritical gaslighting is worse than not caring
@@williambarringer6513only because butter dad tried to cover for his wife killing him. Other than that he is 1000x better than Stuart.
I agree with your ranking and reasoning behind it. I think that the season where he becomes a troll doesn't truly represent the characters anyway, and it's odd to put Gerald down because of something that has little to do with his parenting.
He is impulsive (dolphin), has an air of superiority (electric car and yelp), abuses the law (cat ban), and is by no means a great person, but I think he's still the best dad ranked, followed by Randy. A dubious honor as the competition for best dad is lacking 😅 Though I'd say PC Principal or Token's dad seem to be the best, though not included here.
Also, unrelated but it's tragic Butters doesn't have better parents.
I also gave to agree with this comment I think the video is focused on who is the worst person more than who is the worst dad
My dad always goes out for cigarettes, but he always comes back a few minutes later. Seriously though, I've had issues with both of my parents in the past, but my father is a wonderful man who I greatly love and respect and is my rock through many of my struggles since he also goes through a lot.
I love him so much. I'm disabled and he has decided to leave the house to me just so I have somewhere to live after he dies because I can't work a normal job and am self-employed.
you're not the only one
@@jkjkjsnakewtf they just wanted to share something god, not everything needs commenting on or being mean.
@@anyabailey9537 ok first off I was just agreeing the same life as we live in so wtf you're telling for want to share their comments plus your life would be more crappy than ours

@@jkjkjsnake no what YOU'RE saying is "you aren't the only one so stop complaining/sharing" it doesn't matter how you try and explain to me what you "actually said" unless you phrase it different it means exactly that, and no that saying is not a figure of speech.
Randy always means well and tries to help/involve his family with his zany schemes. But he gets carried away and makes everything worse.
The novelty of an insane paternal figure in South Park is about as transparent as season fatigue
My favorite moment where randy makes his son happy by fighting bat dad like rocky
It's probably nothing but just to point out when talking about the musical section for randy you ended up saying if Shelly was about to do something you'd understand but if you look closer she is staring at his lap before looking up at her dad
Gerald and Randy have done worse things then stuart, so they are worse people overall, but they both treat they're kids better then stuart. Since this is a ranking of fathers, it should be:
4. Gerald
3. Randy
2. Stuart
1. Stephen/Chris
When I think of Randy as a dad, I remember the Treehouse episode, where he and Sharon divorce, and he tries to help Stan understand that "you can't divorce your sister just because you don't like her".
Season 2
When you started with Stuart, i had to go back and listen for if you said "best" or not 😹
It is funny how even though for the longest time Butter's dad didn't have a consistent name only thing consistent is you are grounded eventually causing his son to have a mental disorder also that episode with butter's grandma how did he not notice her abuse when sitting in the same room
This and Mother’s video go out to anyone who is afraid they are not fit to be a good parent.
All these IASIP references!! Kitty I beg of you to do videos on the gang😭😭🙏🏾
It's either Stephen Stotch because he constantly keeps grounding his son Butters for very petty reasons, Randy Marsh because he keeps embarrassing himself and his family, much to the annoyance of his son Stan or Mr. White because of the way he abused Alejandro by forcing his views of how the Whites are "Victims", even to the point where it drove his foster son into becoming the Mexican Joker.
What about Chef I meant I noticed from previous seasons that he was a father figured to Stan,Kyle,Kenny and Cartman and also sing songs and give them advice and always help them.
I'm so sorry you've gotten harassment online or otherwise, Kitty. You genuinely seem like a wonderful person!
Beating up Steven Stotch in Fractured But Whole is incredibly satisfying.
Im so happy this video is premiering on my birthday!
Happy birthday!!! :D
Happy birthday 🥳🎉🎉
So many different dads
Token's dad has to be the best father in South Park
Prolly would've been Stephen before the more recent seasons, but Gerald and Karen have easily taken the lead lately, Gerald with the whole Skankhunt thing, and Karen with... well, everything since he started Tegridy Farms
Even the fulfillment job was a selfish endeavor. Butters kept saying he didn't need the Amazon perks but his dad kept insisting he did to likely deflect his reliance. It's only the drone episode where he cares and even that is debatable.
Well technically Skeeter is a dad. But we never see him be a dad to Red. So we don’t have the ability to judge him. I’m sure he’s a great dad.
Butters dad is the worst he grounds butters for every thing and anything
Ms. Monk, I totally agree with you on Stephen (or Chris) Stotch. I REALLY wish that Trey Parker and Matt Stone would just delete him and his wife off and let Butters get adopted into the Marsh family. At least Randy Marsh would be a better father to him than Stephen/Chris could ever be.
I love Randy's scene where he smashes the curio cabinet screaming "no" which is just ripped audio from Star Trek First Contact
Butters dad obviously
My dad also left so , you got me to laugh on that one my mom always said he was the guy on the hot sauce bottle
The first thing I think when i see one of your south park videos is" Kitty Monk, South Park, Hell yeah".
You know it doesn't say much about South Park when the online troll who is total a****** it's still considered the most normal
My skills of deduction have led me to believe that this is also going to turn into it's Always Sunny in Philadelphia channel.
The biggest controversy is actually thinking that Apple makes good products, maybe the real troll is Kitty?
The thing is that they are all flawed and awful that is kind of the point. No one's parents are perfect and the show reflects that.
Fun fact Randy was originally based off a real person and one of the creators called him dad he played the judge in Cannibal the Musical if you want to see what the human equivalent of the cartoon character is he supported his son's dream even appearing in his first movie so the real one wouldn't be on the list but the cartoon morphed him from being a direct reference to being more of a drunk semi-abusive character
Butter’s dad is on top of the food chain
That’s awesome The Losing Edge is also one of my favorites. As a youth who played a ton of baseball this one really resonates. I would love to see you do a video on this one.
Butters father is the worst father. But Randy is the worse person.
liane cartman. for those that don't remember or know, dr. mephisto discovered that ms. cartman is cartman's father. yeah, gerald's terrible for the whole skankhunt thing, but imagine being the father of cartman. iirc, they retconned it so that scott tenorman's dad is cartman's actual dad
Him saying community college was expensive is a joke kitty lol.
Butter's and Kenny's dads.
Steven also straight up abandoned Butters for years in the future specials
Fellow Jersey person here, 908 represent., Newark has a commuter line station. The kind of train that would run by Kenny's house, and I think most homes that fit the stereotype you mentioned, would be a freight line. They're louder, smell worse, and are just unpleasant to be around, which drives down property values
Edit: There is a Central Jersey, it's been recognized by the state government, and yes, it is Taylor Ham.
Randy is not "cosplaying as Lorde." He literally *is* Lorde. All those albums, concerts, interviews, it was all Randy the whole time. It's just that no one notices it is him. As for Shelley, she had previously had an adult boyfriend (the lead singer from Timmy's band) with whom she almost ended up going all the way. Stan had to stop it. So she does have a history of inappropriate behavior with boys, mainly because she is very self conscious, has self esteem issues, is neglected by her parents, and is thus vulnerable when she is shown any attention at all.
Community college was nearly free, but community was a thing. He has just too lazy to fill out his FAFSA
Tweeks dad is pretty awful too.
nice vid! summarized the dads perfectly
Good video! Loved the always sunny reference 🤣
38:37 Stephen: I HOPE YOUR BOTH VERY SATISFIED FOR THE DAMAGE YOU CAUSED BECAUSE YOUR BOTH GROUNDED!!!
Everyone remembers the Randy episodes from early South Park like the Losing Edge.
MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) got renamed to DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder).
I wish that skankhunt was never Gerald. Gerald in South Park standards was a really good father before his arc. Yes he had his problems but so does every other father in the show. When skanhunt was revealed to be Gerald when I tell you I was genuinely hurt I really was 😭
i was literally thinking about this the other day and now i dont have to think anymore, thank you

Think of Mana like energy right. Most skills in WoW require Mana to use so if you have no mana you basically can only use basic attackes
I hate to burst that bubble
As a former Coca-Cola employee
Pibb is a Coca-Cola product. So you’re still choosing Coca-Cola over Pepsi
You know what's funny? I didn't know Pibb was a Coca-Cola product until I read your comment.
steven and randy are the worst though it could be argued the Cartman's dad was potentially worse because he likely knew he had an illegitimate son and never cared to be in his life.
Technically Liane should be on this list. Maybe after Randy for enabling Cartman for so long.
If youre wondering why shes a hermaphrodite. In s2 its stated that shes technically the father. Got another women pregnant. Jack Tenorman is stated to be the father so it might have been retconned. But in later episodes he draws a female body part with balls and thinks women have balls. So its assumed that Liane is the reason.
I don’t even need to watch this to know it’s Stephen
For the last time, Taylor is a brand of Pork Roll. It literally says Pork Roll on the package. It's been Pork Roll since 1906. Quit deluding yourselves, North Jersey. It's not ham, it's just really dank Bologna.
Butters' dad is the worst. Gerald and Randy are bastards.....but at least they're trying (mostly) to be good dads
The south park parents are just the worst i have no complaints with the tier list
I appreciate you cutting to the chase with the worst one
Not the camp thing from Fairly Odd Parents 😂
Ngl hearing a hiss instead of “nnGOOOOO” threw me off, I want the old censorship back >:(
Worst father in south park? Tweek's dad. What kind of father pumps their 8 year old full of coffee?
imo the order best to worst is: Gerald, Randy, Stuart, Stephen
gerald and randy both had (have) terrible arcs but they don’t really compare to the other two that are ACTUALLY abusive
Kenny’s dad physically abuses his kids he has hit kenny he makes randy and Gerald look like good parents my list would be the worst to best 1.Steven worst
2.Stewart
3.randy
4.Gerald best
Steven made butters have ptsd
Stewart cursed Kenny with immortality
Randy he just makes stupid decisions not trying to hurt Stan and Shelly
Gerald is just a bad person and not a good role model
The thing about Gerald going to a 'rich fancy Community College' was supposed to be a joke. The idea being that Stewart couldn't even afford the most affordable of college options.
Ok I think more people need to talk about how horrible Tweek's father is, rlly shouldn't of left him outta this video imo. He gives his son...METH and he forces him to rely on it to 'calm down' or whatever and completely messes Tweek up for life because of it. Tweek probably already had anxiety, but that much coffee AND meth probably doesn't help him any! He doesn't try to understand his son's feelings AT all and only supports his relationship with Craig to appear tolerant and 'woke' so that people will buy his coffee. He's probably definitely not as bad as these other dads (cuz he gets zero time on screen) on this list but MY god he has ZERO good qualities compared to them though.
I think Tweek's father also isn't really the best. I mean he is given Tweek so much coffee that his anxiety is probably from all the coffee
The McCormicks... Kenny, Kevin and Karen... Wait a second
