Nice gift project idea. Looking good Larry, live center has stuck me many times. I try to always knock it out, but anytime I forget it gets me.

The problem is we are getting old. Can't seem to remember everything, Larry

I'd never use hot glue to hold wood on a lathe. Is it really safe ?

If it wasn't I wouldn't be using it.

I'm looking for a rubber live center, maybe it won;t hurt so much when I bang my elbow on it. ;-) This looks like a good project to use up scraps. Thanks for posting.

Or, you could get elbow pads, Larry

Ha, ha...good one Larry. I suppose we could try to remember to remove the darned things...oh wait...that's the problem. LOL! I call it CRS (Can't remember s***t)

Boy we are singing off the same page. But, this time I didn't forget to remove it, I forgot that I just put it in the tail shock. I was getting ready to use it. I guess that's the same thing, sort of. Take care, Larry

Nice turn, Larry. How is that added tool post working out and do you find a use for it often?

I use it quite often. Some of my tool rest posts are too long. I need to cut about 1/2" off a couple of them. Thanks, Larry
