The talk about emotions have really hit me. We've have a Corrolla 2.0DG 2001 model since 2005 and trust me when i say that this car has own charm and feel.
The only major downside with the car is it's carburetted engine (1300 cc ones) and it's much higher resale value - makes one think to get a 2001-03 Honda Civic for almost the same price, even for less with more power, efficiency and features. Also with cleaner and relatively more modern interior.
Saying this since I bought a 2002 Honda Civic on last year's November and have observed as such. :)
@@diablow1411 For all its faults, every Corolla is solidly built. Good wholesone car that never disappoints.
I trust you its my favorite corolla we had owned all corollas from 83 to axio and my cousin have grande and trust me the 98 japanese corolla have the best ride comfort wise.
Plus i never forgot the heavy sound of that deisel engine
Really love the way they have maintained the car. Only ppl with caring nature can keep a car like this. its a souvenir for them.

Indus corolla xe and 2.0d came with limited editions having sunroof late in 2002 which was rare.and xe was even more priced than the newer shape corolla xli 2002(late). Xli 2003 was factory priced at 780

I saw it in Los Angeles in 2001.

Unfortunately people in Pakistan did not know how to maintain and even use those old cars. Most of them are junk now.

Base models mai nahi aya tha rpm meter, only in loaded models and Japanese models.

Please dont stick your hand into the instrument cluster. Could barely catch a glimpse of the meters. Strange plain Jane meters. Barren fuel and temp meters. This must be the DX version. This Corolla was a HOT SELLER WORLDWIDE.

lovely review Omer! Sitting in london watching this video made me very emotional and gave a nostalgic feeling, the elderly sweet couple were adorable and i loved it when he said khada market where Im sure us 90s kids of Karachi have so many fond memories of having chicken garlic mayo roll. Keep it up, Simple and very nice video. I remember i used to beg my Chachu to let me drive his Gli and he always said no knowing i was just 16 years old and would stretch the first gear upto 60 km/p with rpm on atleast 7000 lol
