I don't feel like she's wasted potential. That kind of implies that she wasn't used enough or for nothing important, and I disagree with that. The show being cancelled on the other hand, not giving us more time with Angel Investigations and their new ally; well, that was wasted potential alright.

Fred's death had me in tears she was nice, helpful, a little dorky but very good help use with Angel and the team. Amy Acker's character totally killed the show there and she's one of the prettiest characters on Angel watching her from my childhood. I watched Angel when I was 11 years old, and in high school every morning it comes on TV before I go to school, and would cherish the moment of my favorite episodes.

What a great actress Amy Acker is to play not one but TWO great characters so masterfully. I really think if Illyria had at least one or two full seasons, she’d have the mainstream appeal that Buffy, Angel and Spike enjoy.

Wesley and Illyria's interactions were always interesting. He learned a lot from her just as much as she did from him.
Fred's death and Wesley's death both shattered me. I bawled uncontrollably.
At least Wesley's death was immediately followed by Illyria's super punch.

Amy Acker was also magnificent as "Root" in Person of Interest. As an actress, she has great range. Each character even has her own voice.
