Hey Emily, love your videos! Few things to note (I'm a Salesforce Developer with 4 yoe): 1. Platform Developer II is one of the most difficult certs in Salesforce. It is *very* code heavy. Without having 1-2 years of actual Salesforce Development experience it's impossible to pass. If I'd see someone with no working experience and PD2 - the CV goes straight into bin, as this person most likely used dumps. You mentioned that PD1 has a lot of outdated stuff like Visualforce - PD2 goes way beyond that and has even more outdated things. 2. I have only two certs - PD1 & PD2. I don't think most developers need associate or app builder certs. I'd rather see something like Integration Architect, as it is much more near to the job and is not hard to pass for good devs. 3. Best developers are rarely admins, because best developers have really good coding skills prior joining Salesforce ecosystem and wouldn't want to work as an admin. Thanks for the video, I hope it will inspire more people to join the dev side :D
Thanks for the input! I really appreciate it. Looks like we’ve had some different experience. The devs that have come into salesforce working as developers before have over engineered and broken a lot of stuff. 😂 I suppose that aspect comes with some time.
It seems like a very long road, even for someone who already might have the admin cert. I also wanted to share there is a program called “Journey to Salesforce” that Salesforce themselves offers. I was thinking of applying, but apparently it is meant for people who have no prior Salesforce experience.
Dear sir I saw your TH-cam channel and understand you are a TH-camr. Very nice video on your channel, I really enjoyed it. Total 19.7k+ subscribers and a Total of 445+ Uploaded videos of your channel. According to your channel, I noticed that your channel videos are not viewed and subscribed. You need to optimize your channel and do video SEO to reach your target audience. Otherwise, if you upload videos to your channel throughout the year, none of your videos will get viral views. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. And monetization of your channel will be on.

😅😅
Why would anyone buy a solution from someone who was smart enough to assume gender in an automated comment.
