    My favorite quotes:
    "It's impossible to have all genres in one song."
    Thomas Bergersen : "yes that's impossible"
    "yes, I thought so!"
    Thomas Bergersen : "No its name is impossible"
    ...
    "You are a Jedi Harry!"
    ~Gandalf
    ...
    Co-producers: Sooooo... What genre should we make this song?
    Thomas Bergersen: Yes

      "Putting fuel on a fire isn't always bad. It just ensures there's no one left to report it." -- Janet 'Margaret' Nicks

      ...
      "Look, a noodle!" -- David Mocksweater, in his famous book, 'When Punkins Eat!', page 54.

    Btw, the singing in Thomas' "One Million Voices" song is actually Bulgarian choir singing. Thomas said before in a Facebook Live Q&A that he really likes Bulgarian choir music.

    This one gives me massive pirates of the carribean vibes. Cannons roaring amid the waves, sailors crossing blades and marlin spikes on deck as burning rigging snaps in the wind, the planks wet with brine and blood.

    Two Steps From Hell is two composers (Thomas Bergersen, and Nick Phoenix), they compose independently under the same label.

    Listening to Two Steps From Hell or Thomas Bergersen compositions is like being on a path with an awesome scenery that suddenly you ends up at the entrance of the grand canyon. So much to explore!. I m old , and listen to any type of music ranging from metal to classical since 1965. I ve never come accross to so much creativity in such a short time like the one shown by TSFH and especially Thomas Bergersen, this guy is a musical genius. If you like that kind of music you can go check "immediate music", "Globus", "audiomachine", "really slow motion", "Peter Crowley", "Jo Blankenburg" "Future World Music" "Anti Martikainen" "E.S.Posthumus" of course you can add John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Steve Jablonsky, John Powel, just to name a few. All of these have also awesome material but at the end you always will come back to Thomas Bergersen's compositions alone or with TSFH. I like Nick Phoenix's compositions too but they sound a bit like they are part of the same piece, then again, its tough to shine when you work close to the Sun! Enjoy your discovery, you ain't heard nothing yet ;D. Your next reaction should be with this : th-cam.com/video/WWRMT4MwpqQ/w-d-xo.html music from Two Steps From Hell composed by Thomas Bergersen.

    So glad you listened to this! To give some info: TSFH has been included in a lot of movies, series, trailers etc. It was their main target to begin with. Then they started releasing public albums and the rest is history :)
    Any non-English lyrics in their songs are most likely gibberish, but they've also used different European languages (even Norwegian!).
    As usual, I have some suggestions for you (TSFH albums but composed by TB).
    - Emerald Princess
    - Unbreakable
    - Victory
    - Invincible
    - Blackheart
    and my personal feel-good song that gives me TONS of energy and joy: Thomas Bergersen - Beautiful People (EDM mashup).
    Some more mellow and soft ones (all from TB solo albums):
    - Remember Me
    - Sun (from the album Sun)
    - Return to Sender
    - Ocean Princess
    Really glad you liked Impossible. Your reaction to the end was exactly what I had pictured! It gets me every time :)

      As a Norwegian, I don't fully agree. More like ME (like in Medusa) RE (like in Renegade) and TE (Like in Tesla) Btw, no offence. Just giving my 2 cents .-)

    • @premy
      @premy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@poolhallshark Could it be a regional thing? I don't know much about Norwegian but Merethe was born in the Bergen area and I've heard that the Bergen dialect is hardly comprehensible for Norwegian speakers. Anyway, I heard it as "Meryeta" or "Meryete" on the TSFH concert in Prague, but I can't exactly remember if it was the host (who probably didn't speak Norwegian) or Thomas Bergersen who said it... but if I recall correctly, it was Thomas. Speaking of Thomas, how is "Thomas Bergersen" pronounced correctly?

    • @poolhallshark
      @poolhallshark 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@premy That may actually be the case. The conconants in the western and south-western parts of Norway are actually much softer, so that the T may be perceived as a D and the E in the end may come off as a semi E/A. At least for a foreign speaking person it's hard to distinguish the difference. To say that the rest of Norway have problems understanding the Bergen dialect is to take it a bit far, but it IS something we joke about sometimes. We have hundreds upon hundreds of dialects here in Norway, so some friendly mocking WILL occur. Thanks for your feedback :-)

    • @premy
      @premy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@poolhallshark I see, thanks for the answer! :D Perhaps I misremembered the difficulty thing or confused it with something else. (Speaking of the Bergen dialect... "Two Steps From Hell - Compass feat. Merethe Soltvedt" is a great one. And the instrumental version - just "Compass" - too.)

    • @marianneeggen3256
      @marianneeggen3256 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
