- I opened a factory sealed case of Pokemon cards! Inside was 6 Black and White base set booster boxes. Each with 36 booster packs for a total of 216 packs! 1 of the booster boxes was opened. This set is almost 10 years old now and I consider it to be vintage Pokemon cards. This is my first time opening up this set as well!

Is it just me or is it now way easier to get full arts and gx, back then when you pulled one EX you are happy now if you get one gx its worth like $1
pulls you want today are full arts and hyper rares. Gx isent considered a very good pull anymore unfortunately. Unless its the most played gx then it can sell for quite a lot.

I LOVE how you’re opening vintage packs as well as these older packs! I wasn’t into Pokémon when these older packs were out so I’m able to experience it for the first time with you and I’m totally diggin it! Super stoked for the second half of this box!

I collected a lot of ex era cards when I was a kid, lost interest maybe halfway into diamond and pearl, then got a bit of hgss. But when black and white cards released the full art cards really brought me into it. I started attending prereleases from noble victories (BW3) up until late XY when they changed the setup. Really dove me into the community.
So one of the most nostalgic sets for me, would be this black and white set.

I’ve just started collecting again and this is easily my favourite set! I’ve only been able to get a couple of boosters, but hopefully I’ll find some more in the future. Awesome that you’re also collecting the new gens, looking forward to more videos!
Never opened packs from that era either but some of the art works are really awesome!!! That Zekrom was a sick pull!!!
Please do diamond and pearl era cards please! The generation was how I got into collecting! Not to mention I really like the legend cards from the HeartGold and SoulSilver sets ^.^

I pulled the gold reshiram from legendary treasures this past weekend. I've been having fun opening black and white, as I was not collecting when they were released.

Me and my brother got a booster box of this set 9 years ago for Christmas . We had to share it so we each took half the packs. he got both ultra rare full arts which sucked for me. Seeing this brought back some memories

Rev my guy! I've been absent handling some family issues but I am back! Love the black&white base set opening. You mentioned heartgold and soul silver, I love those half portrait cards you can get! Also, black&white has a set, legendary treasures, that has a gold secret rare of zekrom/reshiram that I am currently hunting for! It also has a pretty rad mew full art too, you should look into it!

Gen 1 and 2 all day card collecting wise anything wotc some exceptions with early Pokémon company cards but overall just about the real early vintage stuff

Def look for Ebay auctions they tend to go for cheaper than buy it now! And above all else be patient and wait for that opportunity

Btw the zekrom full art card has 2 variants. The background is either printed with a gray or black background. I think you got the gray version, hard to tell without seeing it next to the other version due to the vid lighting.
Just thought I’d point it out, I don’t know if there’s a price difference, but I know it’s happened with a lot.

ah, this is the set when i started my entire childhood of pokemon... i was around 6 years old when i started collecting when the BW set came out, but i have nothing left of the BW era except some uncommons since someone stole my cards when i was young, recently checked the prices of a pack (i wanna keep one sealed) but its just way too expensive sadly

I was a gen 1 guys, I started with FRLG and played with every other generation other than Kalos and gen 8.
Black and white has some pretty cool cards but I’m still a vintage fan. The white Reshiram from this set is such a clean card though

I know you collect and sell other sets besides Pokémon, and was wondering if it was ever an interest of yours or if you had any info on how to acquire a booster box of the original set? The only ones I ever find are on eBay or Facebook marketplace, and they seem to be in rough condition. Also, love all of the recent vids!

I thought that horizontal holo was fake because I once bought a booster box of fake cards and the holos were like that!
Yeah I think they changed up the holos for Black & White!
Be carful!!!! Some of those cards are hallo stars all over the cards make sure u shine the light on them before u toss them out , there almost invisible but u can see the hallo stars if u shine the light to the card, most of my collection is from this era and found a lot of those stars halo cards
