- This video showcases the November 2023 update for Sonic Battle R. Update includes a day/night cycle for several stages based off your local time! There's also new mechanic changes to increase the game speed such as rails being reworked or having easier access to special abilities/shortcuts.

Y'know, the day/night cycle based on the local time part seems really cool, even though it's just a small addition
This update is fire! At 6pm est the stages turn from daytime to Night. Not all of them are implemented but I hear eventually most stages will be. The game feels alot faster overall, rail swapping buffers and is way more responsive than it used to be. You also go faster on the rail in general. Combine that with getting boosts from enemies and chaos shift, it''s a much more fluid experience!
I got absolutely robbed in Planet Wisp Night, and Karubo got robbed in Splash Canyon. 🤣

I am slightly worried about these Servers Tikal was talking about. (That's always a line.) This game beats out Team Sonic Racing. Certainly a successor to Sonic R. And Sonic has a lot of stages, Planet Wisp feels great compared to the original. As does the seaside from Sonic 07.

This game looks more and more fun each update. I love that there is no over saturation with voicelines (especially 06/Unleashed ones, that get overused in fan projects from time to time). Attacks need more polish though

It's like the Race mode from Sonic Heroes but with the single character simplicity of Sonic Adventure 2's multiplayer amped up with Bigger Fused Maps from the Whole Series and even more Wild abilities!

I remember playing this a few years back and enjoying it even then in it's much earlier state. It seems a lot faster and more interesting now (even if there still seems to be a lot of jank lol). The only thing I'm not a fan of is the day/night cycle being based on actual time. It's a cute idea, but I'm not sure if it works for an online game like this, since the change happens for everyone at 6 PM EST. That works if you live on the east coast, but the further you get from EST, the weirder the change will be. Even then, it being 6 might mean some people will basically only see the night version of these stages, or will only get a small amount of time seeing the day stages, since most people have school or work to deal with first before they can play. I honestly think it'd work better if the day/night cycle was randomized, or if players could somehow pick whether they want the day or night version of a stage before the race begins.
Just really curious now, what is the music tracks that's playing during Wave Ocean at night and Kingdom Valley? Both sound REALLY good...

I've watched the other videos for this game, but the game still has the problem of limited enemies, with Egg Pawns, Flappers, Mono Beetles, Gun Beetles, and Gun Hunters. The stages should have Egg Pawns, Spinners, Egg Gunners, Egg Flyers, Egg Rounders, Egg Commanders, E-2000, E-2000R, Egg Hammers, Heavy-Egg Hammers, Egg Stingers, Egg Lancers, both types of Egg Busters, Egg Bombers, Egg Cannons, Egg Guardians, Egg Armors, Rhinotanks, Kikis, and Sweepers. By the way, what's your enemy factions to put in Sonic fan games, Eggman's robots or GUN robots?

game doesnt update.
It looks interesting but I'm a little skeptical of the crazy being too crazy. But I really don't like the rear camera on the corner, it's more distracting than helpful. I'd probably stick with a skinny rectangle with your character centered but just a tad lowered so you can Guage distance between players and tell who's behind you. Great concept just needs tweaks to feel alright.
Its optional you can switch between the two modes. The pro players prefers the camera
Looks cool but i just hate the camera. The character being in the middle of the screen and not to the bottom part is just not learning how to properly develop a game.
If it had a way to adjust the camera better would help alot.
He just has it set that way, the game has multiple camera options and settings. I have mines set to look like resident evil camera

Original Sonic R is still better due to its incredibly charming graphics and animations, but this is still a cool thing in its own right.
