- A Texas real estate agent who infamously claimed her blonde hair and white skin would keep her out of jail was sentenced Thursday to 60 days behind bars for her role in the January 6 Capitol riot.
U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper told Jenna Ryan, of Frisco, Texas, it was clear she knew what she was doing when she left her hotel to travel to the Capitol after watching coverage of the riot on Fox News.
“You knew it when you walked out of your hotel room and said, ‘We’re going to war and we’re going to be breaking windows,’” Cooper said.
Ryan and several friends - including two, Jason Hyland and Katherine Schwab, who have been charged in the January 6 case - took a private jet from Texas to attend former President Donald Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally on January 6. At the Capitol, Ryan entered the building with other members of the mob and was later filmed at the front of a crowd encouraging the assault. She also posed for a photo next to a broken window, which she posted with the caption, “Window at The capital [sic]. And if the news doesn’t stop lying about us we’re going to come after their studios next…”

To those looking in from the outside it may not seem like much. I spent one night in jail years ago and it was traumatic! The whole place reeks of stale disinfectant & unbathed bodies, I’d rather use a plastic bag than those toilets, the food is inedible! Soon enough the stink of the place is all over your person. This entitled white chick will regret every moment she’s in that place! As a convicted felon she’s lost her right to vote, own or handle firearms. Her real estate broker license may is likely to be suspended in Texas tanking her career!

this seems to be only 1 female low federal prison in texas, which is full to max. so it will be 60 days in med fed prison, which is not an easy time or in a holding cell for 60 days by your self for 23 hours.

The judge should have made her start serving her sentence this week so she'd be in jail for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. At least she'll be in jail for the Jan. 6th insurrection anniversary, and Valentine's Day.

In Texas she wont see any jail time because they will sentence her to wear an electronic anklet and allow her to come and go freely from her job to her home during normal business hours and she cannot leave the state or her home city. She meant what she had posted that she would not do any jail time.

Excuse me but 60 days is nothing. She’ll be in jail, not prison, the prosecutor for this case needs to be fired. The prosecutor is no doubt a Trump loyalist. The problem isn’t the judges, they can only sentence based upon the case the prosecution brings. The fact that she has no remorse is unbearable. They will do this again guaranteed.
Six years would be perfect for her though. Two months is not punitive enough.

Given her arrogance and lack of remorse, she should have received at least 90 days and a $1200 fine even though she pled guilty.

As for Rittenhouse, he obtained a carbine through a straw purchase. A Federal crime. It's not about him having the carbine, but how he got it. As far as I know, there was no security company or police department that ask the young man to be where he was.
All the people knew was there was an active shooter, and they were trying to stop him. Any other time, those people who died would have been hailed as heroes. The people who owned the car lot Rittenhouse was supposed to be guarding said they didn't ask him to come protect their property. And the young man was not a peace officer nor security guard.

Although I would like to her to go to jail for longer, she was much more a cheerleader and a nobody really. The leaders of the insurrection are looking at 20 years plus. I do think that everyone that participated that day should get say 5 years just for participating but it is probably not that realistic. If you start making the punishment too harsh then more people won't plead guilty but take the case all the way increasing costs and time consumed by the justice department exponentially.
