Well I feel the second one is impossible without changing rengoku’s core character. He is a person who is born to protect the weak, for him to abandon the people at the train will probably cause him to commit sepuku or something.

Tengen would always retire, no matter if rengoku survives. Tengen has a special blood that makes him have much better chances against Gyutaro poison. Either Tengen survives and retires or Rengoku dies
It's not his blood his Shinobi training makes him more resilient to poison.
Tengen is a Shinobi That's why He has a high Resistance to poison
Also he said he will quit ehen he kills a uppermoon

If everything had gone like it normally did, except for Rengoku keeping Akaza stuck until the sunrise, and Akaza had died to the sun, then Rengoku would've still died, since he already had a donut.
Akaza could have died too if inosuke helped when he had the chance

I definitely agree that Shinnbou would still die.
However, how I would see it is Rengoku comes in before Kanao does the Flower Breathing final form. This is her never losing her eye to blindness and Rengoku becomes the main act against Doma while Insouke and Kanao provide support.
His Flame Breathing could counter Douma's Cryokinesis by heating up the air and melting the small ice shards that act as poison if inhaled. 👍🏻

@@cinnamonwiththelove7937 I know that but remember back in fight with Father Spider demon Tanjiro used 2nd form of water breathing logging version to take down a tree. Rengokus Purgatory or Booming Flame Undulation has way larger range and can take down even more trees in Logging version I think

Tanjiro and Giyu could also go to the Kokushibo fight it’d just prevent some of the stronger Hashira to be more prevalent in the Muzan fight
I think it's no,since kokushibo is defeated by himself it means giyu and tanjiro can't be a great help,it means there is a possibility that they will gain more damage compare to the akaza fight and that can be a trouble in the final fight against muzan

Stating that if one character is saved then this and that wont happen isnt rly ideal either, since the death of that hashira brought the others to kill douma, having rengoku there to save her can still bring douma's death, atleast having both rengoku and douma die in the fortress arc fighting each other imo would have brought a much larger emotional moment in the anime, i personally believe rengoku died way to early for how much of an impact the anime seems to show

I think in a scenario where he beats akaza rengoku awakens his demon slayer mark much earlier the hashiras would work way harder after hearing rengoku beat akaza all by himself
and then hear tengen going to rescue his wives and so rengoku decides to go with tengen and the trio so less injures and deaths are guaranteed so tengen wouldn't retire and would be close to gaining the mark then tanjiro would still need a new sword so smv arc and muzan would be absolutely furious hearing he's Lost 3 upper ranks and deside to give all the upper ranks abit of blood each then the smv arc is the same as before then the training arc will begin it goes the same I think rengoku or tengen would help fight kokushibo the other would fight doma and so shinobu might not be dead and muzan is killed quicker a few of the hashira die from injuries and then all demons are killed or turned back to humans

Muzak wouldn’t have been killed quicker. The rest might go as you said it would, but yoriichi is the only one who can cut Muzan’s head off, so they will still have to keep him until sunrise.

Second scenario just isn’t realistic man, plus it would be lame as hell. It’s exactly Rengoku’s refusal to abandon the passengers on the train that makes him such a great character - he never would have done such a thing and that’s *why* he’s such an awesome character

For the first scenario it would actually change more than 1 fight because he had killed upper moon 3 which means no more akaza and that means Muzan brings upper moon 6 and giyu and tanjiro would sweep them and get back to the other fights to help rengoku for instance

I think you forget something important, Muzan attacked the Demon Slayer Core because he was confident he can defeat them, if Akaza and Gyutarou were dead and Rengoku Alive, meaning Tanjiro would be much stronger that would put Muzan in a similar situation he faced with Yoriichi, in which he doesn't have the confidence to win against everybody, so he would just wait 50-100-150 years and everybody would have died of old age like he did when Yoriichi was alive. (As long as Nakime is alive the infinity fortress cannot be invaded by any human therefore Demons can hide for hundreds of years).
As much as Rengoku is a beloved character I think that if the events didn't play exactly as they played the demons would have won the battle and eventually conquer the Sun and Humanity.

to enhance your first scenario what if rengoku learns sun breating with tanjiro during the training arc and adapts it into his flame breathing making him much stronger and so he would not only alter 1 battle but most likely 3 battles...resulting in a massive change .

Picture this up to the point where rengoku uses him 9th form is the same however right before he starts running at akaza with his 9th form he developes a demon slayer mark and is able to both cut off his head and hold him down until the sun reaches akaza rengoku then both trains tanjiro and teaches the other slayers about the slayer mark
idk isnt the only reason entertainment district went like it did was because it was Tengen, and that Tengen was like best choice
If Akaza died that would mean in the infinity castle they would have a better chance of surviving because Tomioka, and Tanjiro were very injured in the battle between Akaza and them, and Rengoku alive would have less deaths because there is more strength in the demon slayer corps so if you think about it then that would mean there would probably be another person with Kocho fighting Douma, even though douma still has a good chance of surviving, and killing them it matters who went with her which would be Tomioka, or Rengoku those two hashira are very strong so while Kocho is distracting the demon because she is very fast he would very focused on her if Tomioka came he would use dead calm 11th form so the are both very fast while Kocho is distracting uppermoon 2 Tomioka will try to cut off his head now its probably the same with Rengoku but he would use Rengoku 9th form (I think) now if Tomioka went to kill Douma then you might think Kamado will come well no probably wont because there are already 2 hashira so he would help fight uppermoon 1 Kokushibo, now if Kamado did go to help fight uppermoon 2 with Tomioka then they would win though Kocho would still die but Douma wouldn't have time to eat her with as he's still fighting Tomioka, and Tanjiro he would not get weakened then he uses his blood demon art remember that Douma is a lot stronger then Akaza, Kocho was easy to kill for him so Kamado would be close to dying as he is much weaker then Tomioka but they would survive since Kocho's poison would still have an effect on him since there is no demon thats immune to poison though if they did lose It's just like he said in video he got more aggresive though that is because Kitbusji wants them too because an uppermoon died, Douma would kill Kocho first then, most likely Kanao, them Tomioka because he is a hashira, and he would kill Hashibira last because it reminds him of Kotoha Hashibira though he would not spare anyone.

Technically, it was a draw, Aka had to run away otherwise he WOULD die, and rengoku, well, he still died but since he was a human he didn't have to run away. so in a way, Akaza had won, but at the same time it was a draw
