A lot of places across the country have dwindled and withered away due to industry collapse. It's not just a big old empty building. It represents lost income, hopes, and dreams for a multitude of families.
Those older four wheelers are hard to beat, once they get woke up and started. There a cotton mill in town, when I grew up. First second shift whistle at 9:45 meant you better be on the way home and don't let the ,10:00 whistle catch you outside or , well you know you it wouldn't be a good night to rest on your behind. There is still part of the original building being used for small businesses of sort and storage. Big job supplier in a small town and big job loss when she closed down. But the town survived and is thriving like it's forefathers envisioned. Thanks for trip.
Nice jump starter! Glad it worked for you. It was an interesting tour. Sad to see so much that could be repurposed (wood floors) and scrap the metal, but interesting and not to many visitors after its closing. ~ Texas
Love to explore with you, EA! If that were a building here in the Los Angeles area there would be Danger, Warning, Do Not Enter signs all over the place. I know you play it safe and adhere to the rules. Thanks for the tour!
Oh Yes The Good Old Day's . I Did Not Work In a Mill Just New Some That Did . I Did Work In a Ford Ass Plant One Time Back In 1975 Man What a Hot Box 6:00 PM To 6:00 AM. O What Fun. I Did Not Like The Good Old Day's LOL. And Dont To Day.
The red/brown garbage cans reminded me of giant low brass shotgun shells.
Me too 😂!! Paint on super x or AA ...make a cool garbage can ⛏⛏
It's sad. My daddy retired from a local cotton mill after 36 years. He was a fixer in the weave room.
Man someone should salvage that lumber.
Super Cool

4:26 That would have to be the largest" Shotgun Shell" I've have ever seen.
Pretty sketchy place EA, but it’s still cool to explore! Have a great day my friend.
Not as nice as your creek walks, but interesting, none the less. ✌🏼❤️
Reminds me of the movie Norma Rae 😊
