Love ITZY. As a mum I find them to be more of a positive female role models for my 8yr old. As my girl says “ I love them because they look kind” Their choreography is so on point. The hand movements are next level. I have noticed that when they perform they definitely have mics on. The performances I have seen they seem to be 90% live 10% lip syncing.
600 dancers auditioned to be their backup dancers for this video and 36 were accepted. That’s the reason it was so good. They got the best dancers out there. Plus ITZY don’t just dance the bare minimum. They’re the performance queens. 👸
Ya gotta give it to them-maintaining that level from the get go was impressive. They are pretty much a girl power energy group. The back up dancers were killin' it!
Itzy is the most positive influence on me. As artists they give me the right mindset and community. They give me self love and positivity. I can't help but smile at these talented women. If I had a daughter this would be the group I'd actively try to push on her. Nothing but good things to say about itzy.

'Born to Be' is actually the first pre-release with their title track 'Untouchable' releasing on 8 Jan. Each of the girls have also just released m/vs for their solo songs and they're more storyline-driven than this :)
Love the starting comments about the "79 Itzy members". Its not impossible for context Japanese girl group AKB48 has had over 100 members at one point although they are all divided into teams within that group. Also during an idol group elimination series called Produce 48 there was the "theme song" Pick me which had quite a lot of girls singing and dancing and they were all competition members not backup dancers.

The main reason they max powered their way through the entire video is more a strategic choice than artistic, Itzy is missing a member due to health issues and there is a concept in kpop fandome called OT-X, the original team in full numbers, kinda like " a band that debutes together disbands together" and a good portion of your fans are usually staunch believers of this principle, so when something happens like case of Itzy you risk losing a good chunk of your popularity overnight, now company PR division gave it a good transparent coverage to keep the fans calm, but ITZY themselves had to show up, and show the fans they can keep the torch alight no matter the difficulties present... you need to look at this on a cultural context, fans picture their idols in an aura of divinity in kpop, and band needs to maintain that image, like an eastern emperor had to always maintain the image of carrying the mandate of heaven on his majesty, bands need to keep the faith of their fans, that's why ITZY made this comeback at 200% guns blazing... they are showing off they still have that mandate on themselves. "They can deliver, keep your faith in them." Is the massage implied in this entire thing...
